vs

After both clubs won their opening two matches, the upcoming clashes between FC Bayern München and Juventus will be the pivotal games in Group A. Yet given the long history of both teams in European football, it may be a surprise that the first meeting between the champions of Italy and Germany took place in last season's UEFA Champions League group stage.

This is the best tie of this round. They are both undefeatd in the CL and are two huge clubs. This is going to be an exciting one.
I say Juventus takes this one 2-1.

Yea your right, he is expected to be out for like 3 weeks and hopefully be back in time for Milan. I hope he has a speedy recovery.
Probable Juve line-up: Channel 4
Abbiati; Blasi, Thuram, Cannavaro, Zambrotta; Camoranesi, Giannichedda, Emerson, Nedved; Del Piero, Ibrahimovic (Trezeguet)

Del Piero, Ibrahimovic (Trezeguet)
I bloody well hope he doesn't play Ibra and Del Piero together again... If anything I'd go for Del Piero - Trez or Ibra - Trez... Knowing Capello he'll field Ibrahimovic though (and who can blame him...)
Without Vieira and at the Allianz Arena I think I'd be satisfied with just a draw, but Forza Juve anyway

Trez is less fit than Ibra, so I think it will probably Del Piero - Ibra with Trez probably coming on in the second half sometime. But regardless of that, I dont see the problem with fielding Del Piero and Ibra at the same time (I do think that fielding all three at the same time would be pretty awesome though).

it will be the game of Matchday 3 with both of the teams undefeated, We are missing Viera and Giancheddah(not sure of the spelling) is out injured by the week, am going for a 1-0 win for juve as Bayern doesn't harm us at all time

Definetely a game to just sit and watch. Both team have problems on their squads but Bayern will be playing home. Bayern isn´t performing great at Bundesliga and Juve has a large advantage in Calcio. Both want this win so they can concentrate on their home leagues. It shall eb a interesting game.
For the sake of my prediction at the girls league me and my friends did, I hope Juve wins by 2-1

expected Bayern line up
FC Bayern: Kahn - Sagnol, Lucio, Ismael, Lizarazu - Deisler, Demichelis, Ballack, Zé Roberto - Makaay, Santa Cruz
subs: Dreher, Schweinsteiger, Scholl, Karimi, Ottl, Jeremies, Pizarro, Salihamidzic
Bayern are just second in the Bundesliga imo but played impressive in the first half at Schalke on saturday.
Makaay hasn't scored since 52 days so its time for him to change that.
i expect another boring match between these 2 like last season and i go for a 1-0 Bayern win.

Great Bayern Munchen showing why they are one of the greatest clubs in the world. For some reason people forget about how great a team they always are, but they should always be respected as a team that can beat anyone.

For Bayerns second goal the ball clearly goes out of play from the corner before curling back in.
Overall though judging from the highlights they were the better side and in this new stadium will be a tough prospect in the CL this year. Could win it defo.

really? I didn't notice that... Plus the first goal was a bit unlucky for Juve since it bounced off the ref and they counterattacked, plus Abbiati made a huge mistake
Bayern really impressed me though, probably the 2 - 1 scoreline is too tight for the way they played. Well done to them! Juve were completely horrible too...
And the Allianz Arena is simply amazing.

It just proves that Bayern were better than Juve ON THE NIGHT. If one team beating another means they're better than them then it means that Greece is better than Portugal, Porto is better than Inter and Ascoli is just as good as Milan this season, which is definately not the case.

between Bayern and Juventus its close so there is not one definately better.
i think both teams are candidates which favorites like Chelsea don't wanna face in the knock out stages because they both are quality teams who are able to go very far in this CL season, i wouldn't mind to see those 2 teams in the final.
everybody who really thinks that Hamburg is better just because of this one match should dream on

and look many how points Bayern finished ahead of Schalke last season(14 points) even they lost both matches against them 1-0 and were 3 points behind them with 9 matches left

You totally are missing my point and clearly did not read the previous posts, because if you did you will understand why I said what I did. I don't think that Hamburg is better than Bayern, just like I don't think that beating a team makes them better than anyone else. Try to read first before commenting.
