This is the group of death in my opinion
Chelsea on 4 , Livepool on 4 , Betis on 3.
If Liverpool are able to get 6 points from the two games against anderlecht than they qualify for sure. In this case the games of chelsea vs betis are very crucial. If betis get a win and a draw against chelsea , than i dont know , chelsea might not be able to qualify.

In my opinion, all we have to do to qualify is beat Anderlecht again. I don't see any way Betis can take any points off Chelsea, so if we win against ANderlecht again, we'll be 7 ahead of Betis, with only 6 points left to play for.

if Liverpool beat Anderlecht on November 1st
and Chelsea win away to Betis
both teams qualify, then its just down to who finishes 1st and 2nd..
personally i believe we will beat anderlecht and chelsea will beat betis, would be comforting to see us quality after 4 games, especially being in the "group of death"

Yeah, Liverpool should go through, as second ofcourse, Chelsea should go through first. Liverpool on the other hand, will have to put on a gear or two to stay in contention come play-off time.

I bet you said that last year D-Man
We look good again this year. We're controlling games even better than we did last year in fact. I don't think we're going to win it, but if big teams write us off again we could surprise the non-believers again

Oh definately, but that is the point, nobody will be writing you guys off this season, you are the defending European Champions, come play-off time, teams are going to give their all to beat you at all costs, even more than they want to beat EPL Champions, methinks.

Why so? Do you not want Liverpool to be second and face a first place team from another group and beat them at that, to prove LFC's worth in the UCL?

Chelsea should beat Betis but then it is an away game and also Chelsea have Manchester United on that weekend so Mourinho might play with half a mind on that game as its pretty certain we will qualify in the CL.
Having said that Chelsea should win in Seville.

We dont have to prove anythin in europe mate.
I want us to win the group and face a weaker team. You have to agree a supporter will always want that eh?? This way his team will have better chances to go on further in the competition.

Well if Betis and Chelsea finish on same pts then Chelsea will go through on their better head to head. So basically Chelsea need to win at Anderlecht to get to 10pts. Though in this group even 10 may not be enough as it doesnt look like Anderlecht is going to get any pts at all !!

Next matchday will be crucial.
Chelsea have to put an end to their away form. They havent won an away match since CSKA Moscow last season but then most of them were tough matches -- Porto was inconsequential. Then we lost to Liverpool , Barca , Bayern which was again after we knew we were going to the next round.
Betis is probably the only surprise in those list of away losses.
I am fully expecting Chelsea to win at Anderlecht. If Liverpool even draw with Betis then I think Chelsea and Liverpool will go through. But if Liverpool lose to Betis then it will be only 1 out of Liverpool and Chelsea going through !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know sach.
Thats why the enxt matchday is very crucial. If Betis Win against us at anfield. Than Liverpool On 10. Betis on 9 And Chelsea win at Anderlecht than they have 10. Betis have a easy game against anderlecht at home , they will 99 percent get 3 points and they will move on to 12 points. And Either Chelsea Or Liverpool will qualify along side Betis. So i guess eveN Chelsea supporter might want liverpool to win against betis to avoid this kind of complications

The game ova Betis is so crucial. If Betis win , they are on 9 points. Liverpool on 10 points. Chelsea should win against Anderlecht and they would reach 10.

You played Betis when it was their first ever match in Europe and it was always going to be a nervous start for them. Credit to Liverpool that they took advantage and scored the 2 early goals but things could have been different if say the first match was at Anfield ( Liverpool might have won 3-0) and yesterdays match was at Seville.

Not even the managers nor players nor fans ... what would be the fun in football without some speculation ?
