I've just seen this guy playing for Marseille, it's about the 4th time I have seen him play this season and he is a great prospect.
He is from Nigeria and he was a player who did well in the Under20 World Championship in Holland. He plays leftback but gets forward all the time. He has lots of pace and energy but is still a bit raw, thats to be expected of such a young player though.
I was wondering if anyone else has seen him play and what there thoughts on him are? Does anyone know if he has played for the senior Nigerian team yet?
Definately an attacking fullback with a future IMO

Yes Taiwo is a great player. He is a starter at marseille now and will soon be a starter on the Super Eagles. He has made a few appearances and is the the long term replacemnt of Babayaro I think at least. (Since Babayaro cant bother to show up.) As you alluded to he is a bit rough right now but he is getting valuable experience in France and I expect him to be a much better player in a year or so.

Taye Taiwo is a good player and a bright prospect, played well in the U20 World Cup and was 3rd nest player in the tournament, A starter for Marseille and he is now a Regular at the Nigeria National team team for their last game, will be a good player in the future and am waiting him to lift the EPL Trophy at OT

He play for my club hé hé!!
It is a very good player! He already marked much of with Marseilles, he has a monumental striking. Physically it is impressive, it is a wall impassable!! It begins same A to be useful of its right foot! On the other hand it is a little crazy, it put nutmeg its own surface. It is a future big player!!! No quit Marseille!!!!

Struggled to get the gist of what you were saying but i finally get you.
Anyway, i have never seen this guy play but from the reviews so far he seems to be a decent player and one for the future. Will see how far he goes.

I remember him from the World Youth Championship and other than John Obi Mikel and Promise Isaac, he was my favorite player. Definitely one for the future.

How has this lad developed? Reading the comments it seems he was a bit rough around the edges, but that was two years ago. has he developed technically. Watching him in the ACN now and he looks good. Pacy, strong and fairly comfortable on the ball. We(Liverpool) could do with a player like him. For those who know him better, would he be good enough for a team hoping to challenge for the Premiership?

he hasn't really developed much, though his crossing and passing has improved, his positioning is still suspect and is always exposed most times but that would come with time. He has a rocket launcher of a left foot though...

Easily one of the hardest shots in world football.
