http://www.nomisfootball.com/Nomis/Footwea...oots/Glove.aspxthose that say WetGrip on the side, not the black outs or the black and golds, are those the next Gloves? if so, i don't think they look as great as the old ones. maybe more pics or colors would improve their appearance

Hi,
I wear Legends right now. I was wondering which nomis' boast either dual or wet control that are center-laced. I prefer center laced boots. Also, Do nomis boots fit like adidas boots? Or are there wider nomis boots too?
I've been thinking of trying on the nomis', but i need to make sure that they're better than the air legends.

Hi
I got back today - just trying to find out what has happened to the site - we are transferring to a better and bigger server so assume there is a delay... Very frustrating but will have news soon. Will pop back tomorrow and see if there are any questions that need answering.
Thanks

So, I reckon I'll be getting a pair of Nomis for Christmas.... probably Flare's or Instincts... but I was wondering if anybody could tell me which boot is 'better' and what the prices are for the boots? I would go to shopnomis.com but its down at the mo.

hey m8 the boots will both feel the same on as they are the same boots just different leathers. i have the flares in sg they are nice and cumfy so i asume the insticts will be also. just depends on what conditions you play in most. wet or dry. or you could get the new dual controls my bro just got them and he thinks they are great.
hello nomis any dates or pics on the new releases.

What Nomis boots have dual control? What is the difference in feel between regular leather and dual control?
Thanks

Since I don't want to check all 78 pages anyone want to tell me how nomis boots fit?
CubasGreatest
Dec 7 2006, 07:18 PM
i'd also like to know how they fit in comparison to the Manias. i have 10.5 US sized Manias and they fit a tiny bit too large. what size should i go for if i plan on buying
Gloves?
Sparks?
HK07?
HK10?
hopefully someone can help me out here.
also, i know this probably won't happen but, hey Micheal, tell Nomis to get the HK10s and HK07s to soccer.com!!!!! please?

the harry kewell boots have duel control dont no what they are like my bro just got them he seams to like them. all nomis boots fit big go a size smaller.

Dec 8 2006, 10:10 AM
just a small note for ya, but the dual control aren't technically wet/dry, they are dry control that are 'improved to offer even better grip and control in playing conditions where light moisture is present', so I still ended up getting the flares (crosses fingers, due to arrive today

) which aren't as good in the dry ofcourse but are the more universal condition boot (7.5x wet, 4x dry)
ejteK
Dec 8 2006, 10:48 AM
Well they're still up there and have better grip than other boots with normal leather no matter what model you get

Still need help deciding my next boot... I've narrowed it between:
Nomis Instinct - black/white?
Hummel Concept 6.2 - black?
LFC12
Dec 11 2006, 11:57 PM
try both on, but i personally think that the nomis would kill the hummels anyday of the week in a boot test
G-Run
Dec 12 2006, 10:58 AM
I cant try both on because the Hummels are strictly limited edition and I can only find them on certain websites on the net, supposedly Hummel have the comfiest leather. But then Nomis have all this technology in their boots..but btw does it actually work or is it a scam? because I dont understand how a boot can be 'self cleaning (no mud)'

just a quick question... sorry if this may have been answered, but will the grip eventually wear off? I mean like how boots look really shiny when u first get them, but after a while they lose the shininess will this happen to the grip?
KenNY-
Dec 15 2006, 02:25 AM
My friend on my team got a pair of Sparks this year and he wore them every training and every match and the leather still feels sticky so it probably won't wear away that quickly...if at all.
Hello_Nomis
Dec 15 2006, 03:19 AM
It's good to watch isn't it - always better to see it rather than have someone tell you how it works! The Dual Control boot is the HK07 or the Spark MS (Which is the same boot just without the HK bits on it).
The grip does not go away as it is part of the leather, not a coating. Obviously dirt and mud on the surface may have a negative effect so it is best to keep the boots clean - use cold water and a damp cloth only, and or the booster/cleaning cloths.

Um, I know I may be incorrect, but for every up-side there is a down. Thats cool how you will get more grip on the ball, Im amazed by that, but what about when you dribble, or try to change the direction of the ball quickly. Because of this 'Super-grip' instead of the boot sliding across the surface of the ball, wouldnt it grip and cause the ball to spin off or not change direction at all. Unless exagerated movements are used?
Ive seen people trip up on the ball, pros and ams, when they dribble due to grip, wouldnt this cause more of a problem? Or is this more of a 'Freekick' boot?

Hi Michael I've just got a couple of questions to ask you,
First, If the elastic strap on the Nomis Spark were to snap, would it be able to be replaced? and, are Nomis looking into making shinguards in the near future?

I'm sure you will be able to adapt to the boots having superior grip. I play slightly differently when I'm using my Vapors compared to my Predators for example. What ever the negatives could be, I'm confident the pros outweigh the cons by far. I shall wait patiently for the retards at Rebel Hornsby to get their act together and display some Nomis boots or maybe I'll drive down to Chatswood later.

You should find it easier to change the direction of the ball as you have got more control on the ball. (Due to the extra friction between ball and boot). Shouldn't you?

I'd refer to Nomis's returns and exchange policy - if it's a manufacturing fault, of course they would have it replaced or fixed. I don't think Shin guards are anywhere in the immediate future... But I'm not involved in product development so couldn't tell you for sure.

Yes, Simon has made a 55 minute DVD talking about the boots, technologies, gloves etc. I'm going to be making lots of smaller video clips. You should soon be able to pick up a free DVD in store and they will also be in the shoe boxes when you buy a pair (future stock).

Chatswood usually has boots that Hornsby doesnt (because Hornsby Rebel is run by idiots) so I was just guessing. Parramatta Rebel has them in stock, BUT due to them not being able to scan them in or something, are not in display yet.
And those 2 boots Simon is holding up looks nice!

While I know you're not involved with production or anything like that, do you happen to know of Nomis has considered bringing out a line of goalkeeper gloves? While I know they're completely different, the same tactic of dry/wet control could be used if Nomis was able to find the right latex. Just curious, as this is a nice technology and being a GK and all it sounds like more grip could help with gloves as well.

Hey Michael.
I'd really appreciate it if you could help me out with this question.
At the moment I'm wearing Total 90 Supremacy... I get blisters 3 times a week, it's really killing me.
Anyway I'm going to buy a pair of Nomis boots... I'm just not sure which ones, I can't really see any differences between the Instinct and Spark, except for the upper designs and the nomud on the Instincts.
My question is, how are these boots different, which are better for AFL (yeah i know, its a soccer forum...)
I live in the country but I'm going up to Sydney in a few weeks to try them on and buy them.
been thinking about getting the HK spark, as they seem to have all the features, heh
anyway, thanks alot
Will
