If you click on "View All Brands" it actually lists Nomis but it is more convenient to have it in the list.

How do the Black Pearls compare to the Gloves in comfort, durability and size (eg. half size smaller than normal etc.)
I may be able to get the Black Pearls for £50 with p&p which seems like a good price to me. I am aware that they don't have the midsole wedge or the nomud technology but I want some Nomis boots but I just don't play enough on grass to spend £90+ on boots.
- I am a 7.5UK would I need a .5 smaller than that as I would with the Gloves?
- Are the Black Pearls as comfortable and as durable as the Gloves?
- Silly question, I know but: Is the same material used on the Black Pearl as the Glove?
Thankyou.

AHO2- I think it was said before that the gloves/sparks get .5 smaller, anything with a midsole wedge get 1 size smaller, and the others are normal. I think it is on pg 81 or 82. Also, the black pearl isn't one piece leather, like the glove, I think.
I have a question myself: Would it pose a problem if I trained in, say, a classic k leather boot like the Lotto Stadio, and played games in Nomis boots? Could there possible be tripping on the ball or putting too much spin, or whatever? Would the lack of a midsole wedge in the lottos and the center lacing in the lottos make it akward to play in a pair of nomis hk07 or other nomis' just for games? All answers welcome, even from non-Nomis owners. Thanks!

Depends on your ability to adapt

I have Vapors and Preds, both very different boots. I play much more direct with the Vapors on but I often change boots half time etc due to blisters :|
I'm used to Vapors and Preds so it doesnt matter what I wear so I'm guessing with enough time with your Nomis boots, you'll also get used to the different boots and perform equally as well. Its like playing soccer in sneakers (or school shoes.. back in the days

) in the weekdays and then using soccer boots in the weekend.
Should be no problem in my opinion. I'm looking for a pair of Nomis boots myself but nothing fancies me enough yet.

Once you've got your boots worn in and gotten used to them, changing between them isnt going to kill your game. Plenty of people on here have loads of different boots and dont seem to have a problem (not a problem with changing between boots anyways...

).
Edit: Ok, have pics of my sonics.

Hey do you plan to sell Nomis boots in the USA? I'd never heard of them until I saw this thread. I think I would want to test them out to see how them play before buying them. I looked on the site and they were about 120 pounds which is like 250 us dollars. I've never spent that much on boots before. It better be a damn good product!

OMFG GUYS!!!
just tired on the HK07, i want to make love to that boot
god its awesome
im a kindof between a 11 and a 11.5 in nike, i tried on 10.5 in hk07 and it was really good, it was tight at the sides but roomy at the front. i had thick socks on. im prety sure this is the right size for me, but i was just wondering if i got the size 10 it would stretch to my foot and be like a size 10.37 or some shit lol..
another thing! the bloke in the shop was showing me a nomis catalogue and it had all these new colourways
i saw Instinct in red and in blue, looked cool, also they are coming out with state of origin sparks and instincts, a blue version for NSW and maroon for QLD if u not aussie. i should have taken pics lol.. could have had a soccer pulse exclusive

the hk07 was 260 !! i was so tempted to buy it right there.. i dont think i can wait a whole week to get to sydney where my dads geting mine.. lol
OH! 1 more thing, the laces on hk07 seem really long, whats the deal with these am i gona need 2 do some fancy shit with em or can i get shorter laces?
cheers

Well why are they better than Adidas Predators? Do they fit your feet better or give you better traction on the ground? I have a pair of SG Pred Manias and also some firm ground Nike Air Legends. I would be curious to hear some arguments for the Nomis. My boots have worked great for me so far.

Great thread some very interesting stuff. Ive been wearing Nomis for about a year now and have acquired 3 pairs (Glove, Nine Pincer and Instinct) and have been very happy with how they have performed. I have been using them primarily for Rugby and have noticed the control and feel in my kicking.
The Instinct which i have only had for a week feels amazing and puts you on your toes easily..
Just a quick question for Hello_Nomis, when will the booster cloths be avaliable on the site and will there be any new clothing available?

Can I ask where they were $260? The Spark (just opposite colourway) retails at that price everywhere I've seen, with the HK at $280/290. Be interested to know where the cheap shops are. That price would be $40 under Nomis themselves.
Thanks in advance.

Nomis Glove sizing question
==================
Hey guys. I've heard from a few people and seen it on these boards that one should get half a size or a full size smaller than you normally would. Now here's my dilemma:
I'm a 9.5US for Puma v-Konstrukts, which are k-leather, BUT I can't wear 9.5 US Adidas Preds, they are extremely small, especially width wise.
Now that said, would I be able to wear size 10US Nomis Gloves?
I really appreciate the help.
Hello_Nomis
Jan 3 2007, 06:12 PM
Go for 9.5 maybe. The Glove is a wider fitting boot so your fit should be ok. You want a tight fit when you first put them on.
Answers to other questions:
The Green/Gold HK Spark is available now.
Booster cloths will soon be available at www.shopnomis.com

D'oh! The thing is, I don't have much of a choice. I don't have enough money to buy a pair from the stores, but I have a friend who has a brand new pair in 9UK that he is willing to part with for $60!
Maybe I'll take the chance just to say I've owned a pair of gloves! Or maybe I'll sell them later.

If he's your friend, then ask him if you can try them on first?? You can try them on in the stores, so I don't see why he shouldn't let you try them on!

Here's the trouble. He is, like you, in Australia(I met him on a backpacking tour of Europe), while I'm in Canada. I don't wanna get him to ship the boots here just so I could try them on.
And as for trying on boots in stores, good luck finding any top boots by Nomis, Mizuno, Diadora, etc. anywhere in Canada to try on. Pretty much anything that's not Nike, Adidas, Puma, and under $200, you won't find here.

Jan 4 2007, 12:59 AM
We'll in my opinion, it's worth the shot. Nomis has very soft leather that will stretch and/or mold to your foot so it's worth a try, in the end you can like you said sell them to a person who would fit them. $60 is a great price for any high end leather boot...let alone Nomis!
