With my sparks, there is a very small amount of slippage. It doesn't affect my performance, and is virtually eliminated if I REALLY REALLY TIGHTEN the laces.

hey, whoever has the Gloves, can you guys confirm that they're a half size too big? if you could very soon, please do. my V1Ks are absolutely great but they've already given me blisters twice and now going on a third. i need to buy either Sparks or Gloves tonight!

Yes, the recommendation is to go half size smaller. The boots need to be a good tight fit when you first put them on to allow for the molding of the one-piece k-leather upper. Are you able to try them on first or are you buying online?



Shouldn't be any difference as they are both one piece k-leather uppers. the only difference between the HK07 and the standard Spark is the midsole wedge (and Dual Control/nomud technologies when compared to the 06 range)

well, i can't try them on. no soccer store in Houston is wise enough to give them a try. i told my friend to tell his manager to get some in (he works in a soccer shop) but she was like "oh no. they're not popular at all." when i heard that i just felt like slapping her. not only cause she doesn't want Nomis in her store but also, her and her employees don't know anything about soccer equipment.

anyway, i desperately need Nomis and i can't try any on. if i order some and they come too big can i send them back?

also, my V1Ks are 10.5 and they fit me perfect. any advice?

Try emailing them with the length of ur foot & they may be able to give u an educated guess that way. Dont think of them like Adidas or Nike, I promise you these guys have CUSTOMER SUPPORT.

too late. already ordered the yellow and black sparks in 9.5 US. i pray to God that they fit good. they should be coming in today in the afternoon or Monday

Technically, If one was to buy a wet control boot, and play in dry conditions, he COULD spray water all over his shoes...correct?

just got my yellow Sparks in today. they're everything that i've heard. sooooooooooooo comfortable, the Dry Control actually works. i was tryin the whole thing they did in the video and it works. they fit like a glove. hopefully they won't expand too much though. i didn't know what size to get so i got 9.5 US and i was a half size off. they fit great though.gonna change to the short laces later tonight. hopefully i'll get a field test of them tomorrow or Monday if the swelling of my toe goes down. (thanks to the V1s for that)

I had a question for Hello Nomis....I was wondering if i should get the Nomis Spark FG or the Nomis Instinct FG. I play midfield and heard that the Instincts were rather heavy at over 12 oz. Do they really weigh you down? Oh and I was wanting to buy a pair of Nomis cleats regardless and was wondering if they ship to the U.S. On the Nomis site, it said there was a configuration error when trying to click the Buy Now button. Is there any way to order them on the site...thanks a ton!!!!

That's your decision really - my personal choice are the Sparks as I think they are slightly more comfortable for my feet. As for the instincts being heavy and weighing you down - sorry I am not a believer in an oz or two making any difference to how you play. Chris Latham says he feels like he runs quicker in his Instincts. Boot weight to me is a psychological thing.

If you buy through shopnomis.com then it will automatically convert it using that days exchange rate. Also note that these are the Australian range - Soccer.com in the US may still be stocking older versions and I don't know when they will be stocking any later models. Best to ask them if you are going to buy through them.

lol, i took my Sparks to school yesterday and let everyone try them on telling them that they're the most comfortable shoes that they'd ever wear. no one believed me at first cause they hadn't heard of the company (poor people) anyway, when they tried them on, they were blown away. my friend's gonna take them to his store to see if his manager can get some in for sale.

I bought a pair of black/white Nomis Sparks today, they feel brilliant, and the blood-red translucent base looks incredibly mean and unforgiving (on opponents).

I was wondering if i would void the boots warranty if i use a permanent marker to black out the silver nomis logo on the side, leaving only the red outline, similar to the nomis logo on the inside heel. see images.

If it would, can u suggest any other ways of blacking them out that wont void the warranty?

I would assume that as soon as you modify the boots in any form it effects the terms of the warranty. I would email nomis directly to make sure.

I have always been an adidas devotee, both for football boots and kit. However over the past few seasons I have become frustrated with the lack of innovation in the boot market. On going to buy my yearly pair of adidas Predators I was extremely dissappointed. Having become so successful and built such a powerful brand I felt they had just churned out another colourway and hadnt bothered to improve the actual design and features. To be honest I actually prefer my predators from two seasons ago. The new version looks very plastic and the leather doesnt feel as supple.

So I decided to try Nomis. Let me just say thankyou. My Nomis Sparks Dual Control are outstanding in every field. Simon has certainly raised the bar in football boot design and I am looking forward to how the competition respond. It will also be very interesting to see how adidas in particular react as Nomis starts to grow. I doubt they will sit back and let Nomis eat into their market share particularly given Simon's background at the company. It can only be a good thing for the consumer.

I have to be honest I am very excited about the enormous potential of the company and would very much like to be part of the team in any way. I have recently applied for the adidas graduate scheme and was wandering if Nomis have anything simialiar or a careers website?

^ Yes, TF stands for turf.

Yes. The Instincts are a more narrow boot. And as the Spark has a one piece K-Leather upper it molds to your foot slightly better in my opinion. I have a fairly wide foot and have a pair of Sparks. The Glove is the widest fitting boot in the range.
