Hi, my gloves came yesterday, they feel really nice but can some one tell me what the extra insoles are for?

And whats the best way to clean them? I usually just chuck my boots in a bucket of water and scrub them with a brush!

use the wet control booster cloths..they work really nice

those white and green sparks look amazing. i have the old yellow and black ones, you'll love them if you haven't had Nomis before. and don't let any dirt or stuff get on the material cause then you can say "bye bye" to the grip. i got dirt on mine and the grip went away until they got cleaned on a wet pitch. anyway, enjoy

also, Micheal, why don't you throw the Nomis engineers an idea? you wanna ask them if they can make a "light" boot for us? i wouldn't mind having something V1esque with the comfort and grip of Nomis

Hello_Nomis
Hi all.

Sorry I have not been around lately, I've had so much work on it's just not funny. Hopefully I should have some spare time in the next few days/week and I hope to come back to all your questions soon. Nomis is going nuts!

Thanks and sorry again

It's so you can customise the fit to your foot. If you have a high arch the moulded sock liners will give you a better fit and comfort, whereas if you have a flat foot, the flatter sock liner will be better for your foot. Try them both out and use the one that gives you the best fit and comfort. I actually have a video of Simon explaining the difference. Can I host videos on soccerpulse?

Don't do that. Either use a Wet Control booster cloth or just cold water and a soft cloth or very soft tooth brush. When you clear away the dirt the grip properties will be as good as new.

Thanks for the comments

About the raised heel i cant even really feel it . its so comfortable!
I recommend to buy! played my verse game today it was rainging and the grip in the rain is very good!

Indeed. Reading through a few recent comments I should just add a bit about the heel on the Instinct, Flare and Spark MS models.

The raised heel is really a feature of adding the midsole from the heel to the forefront of the boot. This reduces the amount of forces and stress that is passed through the heel, ankle and calf. So the midsole should make a signigicant difference in the comfort and impact felt whilst running in the boots.

Now, there has been some talk of heel slippage. We have looked at this quite a lot as obviously more than one person here has mentioned it. We can only put this down to the boots not being the right size or not being the right "fit" for that person. Please remember that no two people's feet are the same so to get a perfect fit for every foot out there is quite a task! The pro players we have managed to fit correctly absolutely adore the boots and have all noted the reduction in pain and injuries in their calfs/heels as an effect of this raised heel.

If you do get slight slippage in the Instinct or Spark MS I would suggest trying a slightly smaller size or trying another Nomis boot in their different fitting groups.

My White/Gold sparks are already so dirty after my first game =(

Use the cleaning cloth or cold water/soft cloth. Should come up good again!

As mentioned above - keep your boots clean and the grip properties stay. Obviously playing on a wet pitch helped clean away the grip.

Weight is in your head wink.gif Let's see what the future holds...

Ok, and finally, I suppose this will only apply to Australians here, but Nomis are the official footwear supplier to the State of Origin series. They have released special edition State of Origin boots which are available here: http://www.shopnomis.com/au/nomis/State-of-Origin.aspx - basically customised versions of the Spark and Nine Pincer models.

Any news on the new turfs Michael? Any pictures, release dates, models, colorways, anything? biggrin.gif

Also, do you have an address and email for uk Nomis? For my GCSE Graphics project I have to collect promotional material from sports companies (as for my major project I am designing an astro turf shoe). I sent an email to adidas and got turned down, they said that they get too many requests to be handing stuff out to everyone who asks and seeing as Nomis is still relatively new to England, I'm guessing that it would be less of a problem with you.
Hello_Nomis
Well, I have just put the finishing touches together on the 07/08 pricelist and I will have to check with the powers-that-be what I am allowed to disclose. I can tell you that there are new models for hard ground, indoor, turf, hockey etc - all which have different soles. The indoor shoes are HOT!

Promotional material may be an issue, I might be able to sort you out with a couple of leaflets, posters, shelf cards etc. So PM me your address and I will see what I can do. Can't promise anything but will do my best.

On another note, keep an eye out on Soccer International magazine over the next couple of months. A new boot is getting a preview in it.

Oh and 442 Australia have video clips of Simon talking through the boot models

Hello Hello Nomis. This perhaps has been mentioned previously, but two days ago I bought my first pair of Nomis'. I got 'The Glove' and last night at training and this morning when I was having a kick about they huurt my feet quite a bit. I changed the soles and whilst that made a bit of difference it wasn't great. I have quite a flat and wide foot and the heel is slipping a bit. Can I expect that these boots will become comfortable for me as I wear them in? Is there any way I can make them more comfortable i.e. one of my friends thinks I should smear some vasoline in the inside of the boot and then go for a run/kick in them? I need them to fit and work well ASAP because my current pair have a slight rip up the outside of the right boot, and my pair of Adidas Tunits I got before the Nomis' are just utterly terrible. So please, help me ASAP!
Midfielder 11
Shoud I get the Dual Control Spark Kewells in red or the yellow Dry Control Sparks? the prices are both about $180...........................thanks

Hi, did you try the boots on before you bought them. Having slipapge in the heel in the Glove would maybe indicate that the boots are too big? You should have bought smaller than your normal fit in the Glove so it is quite a tight fit initially so that they stretch to your foot.

If you have a flat foot you should be using the sockliners that are flat and not the contoured ones. As mentioned previously I have a video of Simon discussing the difference in the insoles - just need to host it somewhere.
B-enO'nono
Yes, I did try them on. I have had a couple more runs in them since my post and they seem to be getting better as a matter of fact. Perhaps they are starting to stretch to my foot. I'll let you know how I get on over the next week or so.

Midfielder 11, the question you are asking is the Sparks or Spark MS, Spark MS feature No Mud technology and a raised heel. Looks wise, I prefer Yellow/Black but from a technology perspective, I'd go for the HK07s.

BTW Dual Control and Dry Control are the same thing, just different names (I think).

Thanks ^...I have asked this before but if I wear a 10.5 US regularly and they fit nice..should I get a 9 or a 9.5 in the Sparks? please reply asap

General sizing advice on the Spark would be half a size smaller, so that would be 10 US. Sparks MS models you may need to go down to a 9.5US.

Personally the Gloves are my favourites I think. Very fond of the Sparks though! There is a new boot due for release in July. Can't give any further info on that though yet. Sorry.

Having worn both Gloves and Sparks, it's neck and neck. However, Sparks feel more sturdy.

Lads this is my first time in this topic because as you can see from my sig, im a predator man! Ive been reading all over the place about Nomis and i cant help but think from all the pictures i have seen how soft and comfortable they must feel.

Here's where im interested, im a huge fan of GREEN yes green boots beacuse my kit is primarily green. I have had the Green Puma V1's and Field Green Tunits but....i have a wide foot and also wear orthotics which means i havnt been able to wear either boot and have ended up selling them on a week or two later..........anyway, im wondering is there any GREEN Nomis boots and what kind of a fi would i get from them??
Anyone with a pair of preds and nomis be able to tell me if they fir quiet similarlly,
Thanks in advance

I tend to get shin splints whenever I try to play more than once or twice a week. I wear custom orthodics and noticed that the Nine Pincer, The Spark, and the Magnet all claim to have a flat board lasted midsole which will allow orthodics to be easily worn with the boots. Does anyone know if this means I should stay away from the Instincts which do not claim to have this feature.

Is there anyone here who has also had problems with shin splints and can recommend a pair of cleats either Nomis or otherwise which would be the best for helping to prevent them. Thanks.
