I saw a sneak peek at a store's Nomis catalogue ... and there was a page about Futspeeds!
There was a Spark Futspeeds and a Magnet Futspeeds. Spark was in blue (and no red ...

) and Magnet was yellow. RRP price tag was $179.95, if I recall correctly.
Is anyone able to scan that page in the catalogue?
I wonder how long it'll take them to update the nomisfootball.com site?

Those boots are all for 07/08 and I think will be hitting stores around December onwards so expect to see updates on the site then. The Futspeeds, as far as I am aware, are this month, so they will be updated very soon.

Just to ask, why is there Wet Control Futsal shoe? Futsal is always indoors and even if, in some rare case, it was outdoors then it would be stopped if it rained as the floor would be slippy and dangerous.
Other than that, nice shoes, hope the heel is sorted out.

If you have tried on both the wet and dual control boots you will notice there is a difference in touch and feel between the two leathers. Some players like the difference in feel. They will also give a heap of grip even in dry conditions... Plus you could use them for street soccer maybe

No red/white colourway yet.

Hey "Hello Nomis".
I have a chance to get some full Black "The Glove" boots at £80 which is aout £40 odd quid knocked off.
Anyway, why should I get Nomis?
Im looking for a Wide fitting boot with Good Arch support and whats this about the studs preventing injury? Is that the same for Firm Ground boots, I have twisted my knee three times already with older boots.

Hey Hello_Nomis,
Those futspeed indoor shoes look sick. Could you answer a few questions for me.
1. are they (futspeed indoor) synthetic or k-leather?
2. are they available in all shops that sell nomis shoes in parramatta area of sydney?
3. where can i buy nomis shoes in the parramatta-homebush area?
Lastly, could you put up the Glove model aswell.
THANKS!

Hello Nomis,
when are the Futspeed going to be available? I am really looking forward to getting my hands on some. I am hoping they will be out in time for my new futsal season starting in September.
Keep up the good work with the boots, my Sparks were fantastic in the outdoor season that we just finished!

I just finished a season with Nomis Sparks. I liked the boots but I dont feel they have lived up to the hype of the grippy leather technology. After 5 minutes of play you get mud and dirt on the boots and then it offers no extra grip or stickyness vs other boots. 4 players on our team tried Nomis boots this season and all were pretty disappointed with this grip (or lack of) during game play.
Perhaps we're doing something wrong? We clean the boots after every game and they are nice and sticky when we first put them on. Anyone else feel the same way as we do?
I think this grip technology is good for indoor since the boots stay clean but for outdoor I dont think I'll be bothered with Nomis any more.

Hello Hello Nomis

I was disappointed to learn that you were dropping the Glove Turf boots from now on. I emailed Nomis UK and after an intersting email conversation from a very helpful rep (emailed back straight away - unbelievable!) I was told that you were dropping all K-Leather turf boots from now on as demand wasn't high enough. The new top of the range boot will be the standard leather Black Pearl.
I've got so say I'm disappointed at that decision. K-Leather makes such a difference to me when looking at boots that I simply can't got for the Black Pearls and it means I will sadly be looking at another brand for my turf boots

I know that £80 for a set of turf boots is expensive and most people will only pay that price range and upwards for grass boots, but I personally don't see why people have such a mental barrier for the price. If you play on astro turf each week then why not pay what you would if you were playing on grass.

NOMIS FUTSPEED - August 28th, 2007
Australian Football Boot manufacturer Nomis have released details of its forthcoming Futspeed Football Boot Range.
The new and exciting Nomis Futspeed football boot range combine the uppers of the top selling Nomis outdoor football boot models with a new light weight, ultra-low profile outsole creating a football boot that commands style and performance both indoors and outdoors.

The top of the range elite Futspeed models, feature the one piece K-Leather uppers of the Nomis Glove and Spark football boot models and the pro Futspeed range features the bovine leather uppers of the Nomis Spoiler and Magnet football boot models. All the supple uppers feature the revolutionary Nomis Control Technology providing superior ball grip and control.
The Nomis Futspeed football boot also features a shock dispersion EVA midsole wedge and EVA sockliner to reduce impact forces and offer improved comfort. Combined with asymmetrical lacing for a cleaner ball strike and great fitting, the football boot helps improve players’ performance and looks stylish, whilst maintaining the trademark comfort of Nomis footwear.
The Futspeed football boot range will initially be released in Australia next week. Further details on a UK release date and price will be available at Footy Boots as soon as possible.
We’ve loved the recent Nomis releases, and we’ll let you know how the Futspeed play, as soon as we get to try them!

Good news that we're getting closer
I'm happy that they've decided to have a top of the range K-Leather option for these, I thought it was a huge mistake to drop the k-leather astro turf boots and have the normal mid-range boot as their flagship astro model

My blackout FG Gloves arrived yesterday - wow, they're so weird! I really didn't expect the boot upper to feel like that
The only way you could describe them is as if the manufacturer was about to apply some outer skin to them and had just applied the glue to the boot before putting the skin on - but just left them like that with the glue gone all tacky in the air.
I'm a UK10 and got them in a UK9.5 as recommended by the Nomis website. Not sure if that was the right decision or not as I've got wide feet and they do feel a little tight at the moment. I suppose the whole point is that they will stretch and loosen once I've got a few games under my belt in them.
Now the big dilema though, both the Nomis Gloves and my new Mizuno Wave Shinkens arrived yesterday and I've got a league game tonight - which ones do I wear! Decisions Decisions! (rhetorical btw)

I wore the Mizunos for my game - they're just so good I couldn't resist. I think I'll probably wait until the first real big rainy day before trying the Nomis as I want to see this wet technology in action.
As far as the boots go from wearing them round the house and a small kick around the garden - they're super comfy, much more than the current crop of Adidas and Nike with the possible exception of Copa Mundials but they don't offer much support and ended up giving me foot problems so I ditched them. Can't see the Nomis causing me any problems, they feel just like wearing a running shoe.
I am a UK10 but ordered a UK9.5 as I put in the post above - that was purely based on the advice on the Nomis website. I think if I was trying them on in the shop then there's no way I wouldn't have gone for a UK10 as I think that would initially feel the most right. BUT, the whole point is that the k-leather stretches after a few games. Nomis know what they're talking about and if they say don't take how the unplayed boot feels at first as the benchmark then I will do as I'm told!
By feeling the boot though, especially the upper, you can tell that this thing will give a little once it's been played a few times. With some boots you know that's it, they're staying the way they are, but these just mould to your foot like a second skin.
Got another game tomorrow, it's been raining today so might try out the Nomis. The Mizunos are awesome though so they deserve another run out as it was the first pain free match in a long time

Should be a cleaning cloth rather than a booster cloth? There should be 10 or so in a pack and you can usually use them each a couple of times. Just keep the pack tightly sealed. Don't have to wet them - just use them straight out of the pack.
Noticed your post above about the thin sole - it's to ensure that the boot is as low to the ground as possible.
Should have cost $179.95

Its a silver-coloured pack, says booster cloth.
I think i got it for about 180 but delivery charge made it 200.
How often should i clean it? cause i play futsal fairly often (5-6 times a week) and mud won't be on it most of the time.
I understand the purpose of thin sole but for frequent users like me its not financially healthy. On the plus side it's like wearing socks and has extreme out-of-the-box comfort.
For sizing the nomis UK 8.5 is about predator UK 9ish for me.
PS: i'm curious to know the official "life expectancy" of the futspeeds. 6 months? A year?
