hey i mailed the aca sports site, they wrote back and said they are fully gold, and they have seen them from nomis. so i guess we will see pics friday when they get them in. i would like to know if they are in aus soon? it's strange that you dont know? maybe a uk special version?
I still think that is incorrect as there are no all gold models available. It has to be the two tone green/gold boot.

I've just ordered these, but I have done so in all honesty, with little knowledge of Nomis boots.
http://www.lovell-rugby.co.uk/Football-Boo...ack--or--SilverI liked the fact that they appear to be a brand that is on the up, moving forward, and that it would be a change from my usual Nike's and Adidas boots. Only 1 fella I know uses Nomis, but he said that he will never go back to any other brand. Will someone please be kind enough to advise me of what to expect from these boots (fitting, comfort, quality, durability, and any other advice/comments)
I will post pics when they arrive, should be by Friday.

Yeah UK online orders are currently shipped from Australia anyway, so just buy through the AU shop which has the bigger range.

I have 2 pairs of Nomis boots, the Glove and the Spark, and I love 'em. I have run out of the booster cloths though, and I can't seem to get any more. The UK site never seems to have them, and the Aussie store seems to be a bad link!
Anyone know of anywhere else they are available?

Does anyone know where i can see the full colour range for the nomis glove?
Is just me that thinks they could do a better job of integrating the logo onto the boot, looks like the just slapped it on with a tacky material

R00n3y - thanks for the reply, that is exactly what i thought..... I emailed Nomis, they replied stating that the boots did have NO MUD....
However I think these boots are the 06/07 version because Nomis do not have the this colour (Black/Silver/Black) in the Glove Soft Ground for 08 season. It was introduced in 06 and withdrawn in 07 i think. This would have meant the boots were on sale before Nomis introduced No Mud on ALL boots.
I think it must have been a generic reply from Nomis - "Yes the Nomis Gloves have No Mud".
Unless someone is in the know?!?!?!?!? As Im getting contradicting statements.....

i have 3 pairs of nomis boots, the glove in HD all black, spark HD in white, and spoiler in Sg all black with orange logo. these are the best boots i have ever had, better than preds, which always now come up a whole size smaller than you are. the grip on these is superb, they are different to anything else out there. simply brilliant boots. will never go back. best place to buy is lovell rugby / soccer. they are dirt cheap.i only have one shop in the area i live who evan stock just 2 types of these boots and charge the earth.

I don't think I will wear any other boots either because I have 4 pairs and most other boots I have had gave me blisters but these don't! Sink I think that newitts have some of the 08 range black pearls and it says they have NoMud but regardless if you havent tried nomis boots before just get them because I havent heard anyone complaining about them, especially the gloves and if you were buying any other boots they wouldn't have NoMud anyway so you arent losing out by buying them.
Hello_nomis should be able to answer your question better about the NoMud but I think I am right!
Also Hello_nomis on Newitts they have black pearls with a new sole plate for SG the studs look more like they are football than rugby is this just because they are the 08 version?
Heres the link:

Need some help
Im going to buy the GOLVE in Black

But i dont know if i should get soft ground with the metal studs or the Firm ground
its for weekend soccer
Cheers

Sep 24 2008, 08:54 AM
Don't get studs for firm ground, it can hurt your knees. FG is probably best for your weather, I have both because we get a lot of rain and the pitches get waterlogged but I prefer the FG.

Sep 25 2008, 03:25 AM
i agree, its better to get F/G boots as they are good on pretty much all surfaces, i own a pair of spoilers in S/G for those days where theres a complete downpour and the place is a wash, but to be honest, weekend football never have the best pitches so if its that wet studs or moulds are not gonna help too much

Hey guys,
is anyone else having trouble getting onto the Nomis shop website? I'm wondering if it's being updated for 2009's boots?
Also can anyone give me a a weight for the sparks? I own a pair myself and love them, (i don't think a couple of ounces really makes a difference) but i get a lot of people ask me for a weight, does anyone know for sure?

I have been following Nomis from the start and regularly search ebay for some bargains but today there were colourways in models that I had not seen before, they were all from the same seller so they may be a tester or something, anyway here are the pics!
Gold/Black Strikes

Pink Wave

Gold Wave

White/Black Magnet (These are on the newly updated site)

Michael if you are about let me know if these are new colourways to be released, thanks r00n3y

Those sparks look like they've been coloured in, and there's nothing like them on the website. Speaking of the website, can anyone tell me if it's going to stay as a EU website only? For a product developed in Australia it seems strange not to have a Australian website to order from
r00n3y
Nov 26 2008, 07:52 AM
yeh seems strange that they don't have a seperate site for Australia, think Michael is the only one that can clarify the issue but he hasn't been about in a while. If you look at the postage Australia is not included so they may be working on a seperate site for that.
Bergkamp567
Nov 29 2008, 08:41 PM
Yeah, here's hoping there's an Australian site, the way the dollar is at the moment i can't afford to order from Europe.I guess we'll have to wait and see, I know there will be a lot of angry Nomis boot wearers over here if they don't get an Aus site, as the retail shops often stock a limited selection.

Anybody know what is up with
http://www.nomisshoes.com? I am in the US and in the market for a second pair of Nomis boots. I bought my first pair, FG Sparks, over 2 years ago from soccer.com (who no longer carries Nomis) and they have been great. I have consistently played 2-3x per week, but they are starting to get a couple of little holes on the outside of the boots where the irregular shape of the sole meet the upper and one boot has had the elastic break (I just cut off the elastic and now use sweetspots to hold the tongue down). They still play fine, but I am now spoiled by always having dry feet while playing and these little holes are leakers. I really need to pick up another pair, but I'm not really interested in dealing with international shipping and last time I spoke with Nomis, they said that some US orders had even been hit with import duties.
So, how is a guy supposed to pickup a pair of Nomis boots here in the states? Is there some sort of global soccer (football) shoe conspiracy keeping Nomis out of the US? If it matters, I'm probably looking for new FG sparks in the white/black colors.
Thanks!
