He was complaining about how bad his feet were starting to hurt and i just giggled to myself that my feet didnt hurt at all in my sparks

.
just goes to show that just b/c your fav. player wears a cleat doesnt make it any better
just thot i would let you all know that bit of info

we lost 4-3 in pks

Yeah but the Instinct has DryControl and the Flare has WetControl technology.
pnedved11
Apr 11 2006, 05:09 AM
also i believe the instincts have more color options. not that it really matters cuz im sure nomis is going to come out with more for each model.
i have owned both the glove and the spark and it was quite obvious in the different texture of the leather...is that going to be the case with the flare/instinct?

Hi all, sorry I have not been around for a few days - really hectic at the moment.
About thhe Instinct & Flares release date - you should start seeing the boots in retailers towards the end of May I believe. I do know that Australia has received some Gold and White Instincts already, but they will not be going on sale on shopnomis.com until all the styles are in stock. I will try and get a more accurate date next week for you. (Also they may go on sale earlier in the UK than AU - not sure).\
*fabregas* - Your decision really. I would just go into a shop and try the FG and SG on and pick which one you feel happier with. Regarding sizing, again I need to get official recommendations, but the pair I tried on was at least 1/2 size smaller than my usual fit.
pnedved11 - Yes it will be quite obvious the difference in the leather, the Wet Control leather is almost sticky and will be like your Gloves.
Oh, and whilst doing my weekly catch up on the English Premier League... I spotted a pair of Instincts:

Have a good Easter everyone!

nice pic^^
Umm....my season is about to start and i am going to be playing on turf and was wondering if leather food or stuff like that is safe to put on the boots. I read the tag where you arent supposed to put adhesives on it cuz it would ruin the leather but will leather food be ok?
Hello_Nomis
Apr 15 2006, 08:57 PM
Actually, there is no need for it as the Control Technology actually conditions the leather to keep it at it's best. Additional foods like Dubbin may actually damage it, so all you need to do is wipe it clean with cold water and a soft cloth. (Also booster cloths will soon be available which will boost the grip and help clean the boots).
Thanks

I know this is probabley not a brilliant question for a soccer forum, but have the Nomis company contemplated on sponsoring a Gaelic Footballer in Ireland to wear their goods? There is a very large market here in Ireland that I would say don't even know the company exists, not least the hundreds of thousands of people who play football in the country.
Recently I noticed a pair of gloves of yours that was worn by a high profile Gaelic Footballer. Soon enough the gloves were in stock in a lot of sport shops in the surrounding areas.
In summary, there is a large market here for sponsorship or even just to break into. Especially with the close comparisons with the AFL and GAA. There is no boot really designed for Gaelic Football, the Nomis would be the closest, yet nobody knows much about the company here.

Hi UnitedIrishman
Yes, Gaelic Football is a huge sport and I get daily enquiries from Irish players interested in the range of boots and mitts. Really big things are about to happen in Ireland with Nomis (can't say more at the moment) but keep watching this space!) Apparently Nomis mitts were very noticable on the front cover of your leading magazine this month, although I have not seen a copy yet.
Do you mind telling me who the high profile player wearing the Gloves is? I would like to check with the UK and see if it is a sponsored player?
Thanks

i was just looking at the pics you put up of the instincts (cuz i think they are soo nice

) and i noticed that the laces are the same lenght as the ones on my sparks. i guess what i am asking is how far down can you bend the lace cover to store the loops? will it be as far as the tunits or as the reg f50s ( for those quarlsome soccerpulsers i'm not saying that this is a copy but it just looks like similar technology and would be a good reference since i am familiar with the f50 line)

Yes of course, it was David Brady of Mayo. He featured on the front page of the Western People which has a readership of about 60,000 and that is just a regional paper. He was also in a national paper with a readership of over a million. There are also crowds of over 40,000 turning up to games.
This is the player in question (number 19). Link below.

It's kind of a mixture of Football and Rugby.
It's played with a Spherical Ball.
From what i've seen, it's minimal contact. (No rucks, Rugby style tackles)
You have Rugby Posts with a goal built in at the bottom which has a GK.
You get i think 3 points for scoring in the goal and 1 for kicking the ball through the posts.
You have to bounce the ball off your foot when you are running i think.
That's about all i know..
I'm sure a Native Irishman could correct Me or explain it all better.

hi
i have just tried nomis glove and spark
those fell almost the same with predators, same model, good for wide foot etc.
@hello nomis
i have tried those glove and spark
and i realised that the skin of those boots are uniqe
different with other boots
they give "sticky" feeling if u touch them
and i know that those skins are the key of wet and dry system
just want to ask,
how about the reliability of the skin?(endurance of "sticky" surface)
because if the surface of the skin just riped of a little bit
there will be no wet or dry system
it will just be normal boots
because the tag says to prevent any tape for being stick on the skin
so im afraid if the skin lost the "sticky" ability easily
sory if my english so rubish
because its not my first langguage
thx a lot

Yeah it's like Australian Rules Football.
Played with a spherical ball, contact sport (shoulders etc no rucks or rugby tackles).
Like Thorpey said Rugby posts with goals at the bottom with a keeper.
You can take four steps before you have to take a solo (drop the ball to your foot and back into your hands).
You can kick pass or handpass to your team mates. No throwing.
15 players a side; 1 keeper,6 backs, 2 midfielders and 6 forwards. The 6 backs man mark the forwards on either side.
There are 32 counties in the competition. From each of these counties, the manager picks players from the clubs in his county. So the best players play for both club and county.
Whats special about it is that all the players are amateurs. Not one of them gets paid. They give up their time to play and it's seen as a "prize" to play for your county. They are just home town guys who don't transfer counties (unlike soccer). They're the normal Joe Soap you meet on the street and there's a lot more respect for them here.
Here's a short video to show you:

ah, its okay. my english sucks too

damn chinese

the sticky surface is actually much more durable than normal leather.
and since the dry and wet systems are part of the tanning process (like when they dye the leather), it is actually a characteristic of the leather itself, not just a surface coating.

Hi
The Spark is a classic fit, if you have a really narrow foot I would recommend the Nine Pincer is that is a narrower fit. All the boots allow the fitting of orthotics though. (And if any one else reads this, the Glove is a wider fit).
