Do you guys have any Nomis shirts or anything...if you give em out it would probably support the business *hint hint*
Hello_Nomis
edit - can't seem to post full replies as it keeps chopping most of my text out. Will wait and see if I have better luck later on today to get more answers up.
Hello_Nomis
Regarding the warranty, here is what is in the T&Cs of the online shop. I assume this is what you are after but please let me know if it isn't:

"Every item that we sell meets our highest standards for quality and performance. Many of the items we sell require special care because of the materials they are made of. it's our experience that through proper care and normal use almost all defects for footwear and gloves will be evident in the first 45 days after purchase. Before returning any products, please send us photographs of the defect so we may asses the problem first. We will gladly exhange a truely faulty product.

We also recognize that in some circumstances, an item you have owned for more than 45 days, even one that does not show excessive wear or maintenance neglect, may truly be defective. Our aim is to honestly evaluate every issue and make a reasonable decision on every claim. If you any queries at all please contact us

nipper1924 - I will have to pass most of these on. Regarding weight I know one of the main selling points of the boots is that they absorb a fraction of water resulting in lighter boots (and dry feet) during game play meaning they actually may not be as light as some boots when you take them out the box, but at the end of the game they are lighter. I will get exact figures for each boot if I can.

Regarding ProDirect. Yes they are a stockist, but I presume they are awaiting stock.

Ok, think that's all I can answer. Will be back with the remaining answers shortly.

Thanks again
Michael

Hello Nomis,

Hey how about hooking all the G-Mods and Mods of the forum with some boots biggrin.gif?

Anyhow, to be quite honest I have never ever seen a Nomis boot in my young life (24). That's not to judge your product in anyway, but what I was wondering is who is your primary target market, and in what countries do you see the bigger growth as a brand.

For instance, in the US we have the parent brands such as Nike, Adidas, Reebock (owned by Adidas now) and to some extent Puma. What does your product offer in comparison to the widely accepted (marketed), and glorified attributes found in the bigger brands.

For instance, we have all heard about the Pulses, and their so called power strip. Truth of the matter is that although the rubbery ridges might produce some spin, and hence curvature of shots, they are indeed just another bell and whistle on a product that is basically the same as the next boot. We have all heard of how Vapors are so light, and how they improve your handling, but in reality Nike is probably making the most money they have ever made of what in my eyes is a thin, blister producing, synthetic boot, that will only be 3 ounces lighter.. now tell me, how much of a difference 3 ounces is? Not much if your legs are well defined and strong.

Having said all of this, what connects your product to the specified target market in the different areas where you do sell it, and what will connect us to your boots, as the power strip does to Predator lovers?
Hello_Nomis
Hello again.

Carlos, some fantastic questions. Thank you and I will get back to you as soon as I can. Really great questions!

ELZ, the new boots are due to hit stores early 06. I can't say when pictures will be realeased as I don't know myself. (I want to show them now as I think they look amazing). I'll see what info I can find out/release about these, but I know they are keeping these boots under wraps at the moment for obvious reasons!

santoslaguna - Stay tuned!

Will get back to you as soon as I can.

Thanks
Michael

This sounds a bit suss to me?????? Surely the owner of Nomis would have spoken to the UK office to get this sorted. Very strange indeed......are you sure you have all your facts straight maddy1971????

well the owner is simon and he is hardly goner phone the uk to sort this out from australia. So tell me what facts you want me to sort out, cause i could show emails but i dont want to put the company down, thats not what i wanted to do, but i did want to voice the situation cause i was not getting know where with emails and calls, the person was the director so you can't get any higher than that.

is there any thing in the works as far as turf boots as i play 90% of my game on turf
Hello_Nomis
The costs I posted are the Australian retail prices, so in AU$ - sorry should have made that clear. Please PM me if you would like the suggested US$ and UKŁ prices.

Regarding turf boots, yes they have just launched all their models in turf. Not sure when they are reaching retailers but definately available online very, very soon!

Thanks
Michael

Is there a date set yet for the full website and online shop to open?

I must say you're doing a awesome job answering our question!
Hello_Nomis
The online shop in the final stages of testing. Depending on how the testing goes - it should be an immininent launch...

(Sorry, unfortunately it is not an exact science and we need to have it right at launch!)

(edit - we are talking days not weeks)

Sorry I haven't been able to ask any questions Michael. Been in and out of hospital, physio and the doctors. Anyway, just a quick one. Will Nomis go further than boots, like shinguards, clothing ranges, balls etc.? or will they only focus on boots?

sorry if it's been asked before

Would you know if a Player Wore one of your Boots?

Because i swear the Fijian Scrum half (No.9) was wearing Nomis Boots.

http://editorial.gettyimages.com/source/se...0%7c0&p=2&tag=1

Best pic i could find.

They look like the Black/Gold/White Glove.
Brian_005
Well if I'm looking at the right picture then yes, I'm almost positive that those are the black/gold/white Glove.
Hello_Nomis
Indeed Mosese Rauline the Fiji Captain (and Saracen's player) is a big fan of the boots. He was wearing the black white gold gloves in yesterday's International. Also Chris Latham of the Wallabies should be terrorising England with the same boots today aswell.

I'm still waiting on the "official" reasons behind the birth of the name Nomis. Yes it does spell Simon backwards but I know it came around through brainstorming:

No-miss
No-miscontrol
Nom-misunderstanding

etc etc.

SOCCERKID10 - If you play more in wet conditions (knowing the English weather) the recommendation is to go for a Wet Control boot - the glove is top of the range. If you do decide to buy that one, the recommendation is to buy 1/2 sizem maybe a whole size, smaller than what you normally wear. The supple one piece kangaroo leather will stretch a little and will mould to your feet after a few games. (An extremely comfortable boot).

Have a good weekend everybody & Good luck Australia tomorrow!

ive got a question, how come you make dry control boots in SG? chances are, if the weather is wet and the ground is soft then you will wear wet control boot. ive never seen anyone wear softgrounds when it is dry except for idiots...
Nipples
^^ Well we have soft ground even when it is dry over in Scotland such is our strange climate
penf.pat.15
they make sg and fg for their wet, but i've never seen a dry sg... but i'm basing this off eurosport.. so i dunno, they could be wrong
Akai Harrison
if you go to nomis' website, they have all of the boots.

Sorry Carlos, I was sure that some of your questions were answered previously. At the moment, with the imminent launch of the website and a load of other major things on the go, getting 5 minutes of time to go through these questions is a little difficult. I just ask for your patience everybody as I will give better answers when I can.

This can all be summed up really in the Nomis philosophy which is to create better performance. It does not matter if you are a grass root player, an amateur or a pro, by putting on a pair of Nomis boots, you will improve your performance.

In the upcoming launch of their new boot range you will be introduced to another technology which is going to leave you asking "what?" and "how"? - and it's going to improve your performance even more!

Do you have tests or anything to show that a PLAYER's performance is actually increased?? How do you measure this? More goals? I would think this statement is very misleading and would be very difficult to prove. I could accept that perhaps the performance of the leather could be improved, but the player?

Isn't that what practice is for?

R
Hello_Nomis
Hi Richard

I disagree personally. The only "tools" a football player has are his/her boots. By changing different aspects of these tools, a player will perform better or worse. To be slighlty extreme - imagine if you played football in a pair of wellington boots, your performance would suffer, wouldn't it? If you wore boots that didn't weigh anything surely you would run a bit faster... isn't that improving your performance?

*Edit* Reading back through what I wrote in my earlier post Richard, sorry - maybe the wording could have been a little better, but I stand by what I said above.
roque g06
I know this is jus splitting hairs, and its good that the boot gets even better in the wet. But wouldnt it be better if you just said it performs equally aswell. Because this will put people off buying the boot because my area is always dry or I wont wear this boot today because its not wet. I think that can be a bit misleading in peoples desisions. Then if its better in wet, why shouldnt people wet this boot before putting it on? I think it should be made equally as good, so the grip in the dry is as good in the wet.
ADIKeeper
If these are so revolutionary what will all these grip enhancing leathers, why don't we see anyone outside of Australia wearing them? Nobody from Germany, England, France, Italy, etc. What makes you think players from the US will buy this? Just because it is another boot that is designed to give you an 'edge'? Of course, the professionals would want something that makes their play better. More goals, more money! Why haven't I seen this amazing leather on the feet of players in the EPL? Is it that you think players from the states will buy into this because we fall for these kind of advertising schemes often? That we actually need it to play better?
Hello_Nomis
AdiKeeper, I'm not sure if you have read through all the previous posts but, please bear in mind this is a new boot brand - still in it's first proper year. In that year distribution looks to have been organised for UK, Germany, France, Middle East, USA, Japan and possibly Argentina. Now if this technology did not work, would a totally unknown brand be getting global distribution?

Now regarding players, the EPL... what makes them wear shoes? Money? Correct me if I am wrong! I do know that Nomis are in negotiations with some EPL players so they will be there. The women's captains of England, Wales and Ireland are all going to be wearing Nomis boots from December. Plus if you checked out the indoor masters events, (images on the Nomis site) they were wearing Nomis shoes too. Then you have loads of Zurich premier league (Rugby) players wearing the gloves (which use the same technology) - when you next flick through getty, look for the orange gloves. Plus Nomis won Intersport's best new brand award for all sporting categories recently. I personally think it's amazing what has been achieved in a year.

Thanks
M
ADIKeeper
I didn't see those pictures and such on your site, my apologies. But I can't help but think that the big boys (Adidas, Nike) would have jumped on this long ago. And correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't you part of Adidas at one point in time?
SOCCERKID10
i think a valencia player wears them because i saw someone wearing bright blue boots that looked like nomis waves
Hello_Nomis
Congratulations Australia. A sensational result!
soccakid_07
Hi, I have a suggestion! I personally think you should get rid of the stiff, massive tounge on your nomis boots. I have the"glove" and they are very good except for the massive tounge and the heel area is ver, very large. I hope your new boots is more along the lines of the nike vapor but anyway i want to say good luck! I live right next to Rebel Sport in Miranda which has a few nomis boots on the shelves. My friends say the same thing about the heel and the tounge. I once was given the oppotunity to "test" an adidas predator mania boot and i was told to focus on the "heel counter" and the "covering of the laces." Through this i have had a bit of experience judging boots but this is just my opinion of your boots. No Offence!
AHCL20
I have the Spark I find the high heel area extremely troublesome and uncomfortable because I get a bad blister from them.

On the other hand, I really like the cushioning and it's probably the best I have experienced in a footie boot so far!

Hello_Nomis
Hey guys - great feedback. Just what Nomis want to hear. Will pass your comments straight on!

Hello_Nomis

As a thank you for all your questions and feedback so far I want to try and make sure you are all aware of when the fantastic opening offer that will be available.
