I've just had to photograph the 07 Nomis range and boy is it good! I thought the current boot colours and selection were good, but these just blow them away. Also two new boot models by the looks of it. I'm going to see if I can release any shots, so stay tuned...

Anyone knows roughly the timeline between order and dispatch is?
Seems like my orders been in pending status forever.
Would be pretty awesome to try on some wet control for the weekend.
It's been pissing lately.

With the Glove & Spark go for at least half a size smaller. You want a really tight fit when you first put them on and then after a couple of games they will start to mold to your feet. I was in the office this week when a QLD Roar player came in and tried them on and said they really did fit like a glove!

I must say, when Hislop wore those Nomi's against Swe today, they looked like sneakers!?!

It is the same thing with Rio's AZT 4!

Do you think there is any chance of nomis extending into goalkeeping gloves cause tha would be awesome. I love the aesthetics of the nomis boots. Any chance of some outrageous/unusual colourings on next seasons boots? Perhaps a rainbow swirl?

Nomis really are innovators in the field of boots. Dual Control. Just what will they think of next? GREAT job!
By the way,one question. Are those blue ones made of synthetic? Certainly looks like it with it looking so sleek and smooth.

Hi all
Sorry I have not been around for a while - very busy and far too much World Cup watching! I'll try and answer your questions now - I think I will cover everything but apologies if I have missed any...
The pictures are of just a couple of the 07 range which will (obviously) be available in 07 - beginning of the year I think.
The Dual Control is something Simon has been working on this year and at this time I'm afraid I can't say anymore about it.
The boots pictured are as follows:
Gold/White - Spark
Red/White - Instinct
Blue/White - Sonic
The Sonic is indeed a new edition to the Nomis range, it is a more mid-range priced boot and is a leather/synthetic boot - still uses premium materials and features Dual Control.
Nomis's glove range will be expanding for 2007 to cover a lot more sports. Again, not sure what i can say about goal keeping gloves as with new products it's quite hush hush until the samples arrive (that's when I get to see them!)
Regarding colourings - I personally think the 2007 range blows away the current colourways. They are superb.
Capitano - all samples and testings go through members of the Control Freaks scheme, so if you're not in that, I'm sorry you'll miss out. In fact, if any Control Freaks are reading this, we are actually putting together a set of samples of a new boot now, so shortly we will be picking selected members to test these boots. Obviously I'll send you more info on that when I have it.
I'm not sure about the weight of the Instinct boots - they might not be "vapor" light, but remember the nomud technology has been designed to reduce the build up of mud on the boots so the weight during game play will be reduced.
Finally, all the best to Shaka Hislop who is wearing the Instincts in the world cup:

Thanks
Michael

If only it was that easy! As obi-wan-konobi has said, firstly all the top level players have pre-existing contracts, secondly, please try to remember Nomis is a new brand, just one year old in the public eye (lots more in development) - there aren't millions of dollars to throw around to sign top level players! We need to make sure that we develop the most comfortable leading products and technologies first so that the brand has a strong product base to allow the brand to grow.
If you look at our athletes you will see that they are seasoned professionals - they haven't joined Nomis because of ridiculous contracts, they have joined because they truely believe that Nomis are the best and most comfortable boots they have ever worn. To me, having Peter Beagrie say he wants to wear Nomis because in all his career he has never worn such comfortable boots - that has much more value in saying what Nomis are trying to do and deliver than Nomis just paying someone a heap of money to wear the boots. Yes it would raise the profile of the brand considerably and I am sure in the years to come you will see more and more first class sponsorings, but at the end of the day, each signing will be because they want to change to Nomis for a reason!

just a thing about the nomud technology, i was playing on a field that was more mud than grass (gotta love the effort americans put into their soccer fields) and all of my teammates studs were covered in mud but my sparks only had a little mud around the studs, but not enough to cover them, and also had a thin layer over mud on the heel. I know that the sparks that i curretnly have dont have the nomud technology but still they are very good at staying clean and nomud will probbly make them better.
also i am a bit concerend at the prices i read for the instincts. people on here have said a little over 200 usd i think but the website says around 250! am i reading this wrong, i really hope i am cuz i want a pair so bad.

the shoe isn't overly sticky, but you can feel it when you kick the ball.
also, if the ball is sticky, watch out, because odds are it'll catch

Jun 17 2006, 05:21 PM
How do you get sticky balls?
(And yes, I do know someone is going to laugh at this, but i would actually quite like to know

)
penf.pat.15
Jun 17 2006, 05:25 PM
well, playing lots of soccer naturally gives them to you....

like some balls are naturally "sticky.." like some lower budget ones, the PU on it is sticky and hasn't been dirtied yet. after playing a while with it, dust sticks to it so it isn't as sticky as before
the F50+ balls are a good example of this
Dandinho
Jun 17 2006, 05:50 PM
I know a couple of ways to get your balls nice and sticky!

if the ball is clean spray it with a mist spray so the surface of the ball is slightly wet but not soaking this maked it sticky
goal keepers wet their gloves before they use them so they're stickier
