Is the leather on the glove and spark thin, and do the two boots offer good moisture and heat control inside the boot.
Hi, got some info:
The Glove and Spark are thinner than boot uppers made from bovine due to the fact that K-Leather is much stronger than bovine. There is a minimum thickness required.
Moisture control is handled by the water vapour absorption characteristics imparted by the leather. The Glove and the Spark both have very low water absorption.
I can't give any heat info as this really is effected by the complete set of elements of the shoe. Best to get some feedback of players who wear the boots on this one.
Thanks
Michael

Micheal, what measures are in place on the inside of the boots with regard to water absorbsion. Sweat and water leaking into the sides (if you step into a puddle for example) is quite a factor and it would be interesting to know what measures Nomis have to stop water absortion into the boots from the inside. Some figures on this may also be interesting.
Cheers.

well just from looking at my gloves it looks like the only part that will absorb water is the innersole.

Let me know what sort of info you want and I will ask the right people... I know that they have a strict quality control program to ensure only the finest materials make it onto the boots. Again, probably better if there is somebody here who has a pair to give their personal feedback of what they think.
CubasGreatest - I'll check to see what models are heading to soccer.com. I'm not sure if the black/black gloves are though. Also, you might struggle to find "cheap" retailers of Nomis boots.
spursboy - nice purchase, although I don't think your photo does them justice! Post up a review once you have had a wear.

After being extremely impressed with The Glove FG boots in the first two weeks that I've had them, I was heartbroken to find that the upper has begin to separate from the outsole on the instep of the left shoe.

Has anyone else had this problem with their boots, or am I just the unlucky one. Two weeks seems rather quick for separation to begin.

Take some photos and email them to customerservice@nomissports.com - they'll have a look at them. (And let them know where you bought them from too - I'd also contact them too).

Just buy them through the UK or AU shop as the stock will be sent from Australia anyway. If you let me know your size I can find out what stock is left in the other Spark models(I PM'd you back I think). I'll check out those pages with the dud links - sure I fixed them all. Grr.

I didn't get a PM from you on here Michael, i did send you a PM on BootNR as well but i'm at home and can't manage to log in from here, have to check from work in the morning

My older Nike cleats (navy Ronaldos from a few seasons back) are 9.5 US and my adidas Top Sala flats are 9 US so i'm thinking a 9 US in the Sparks and an 8.5 US in the Gloves? I'd love the Sparks in silver/black (or maybe the silver/dark silver) and the black/gold in the Glove is fine. So I just sign up for the Control Freaks and then use the code when I buy for the AU store? just need to make sure i get the sizing conversion right

The bad links are on the individual products pages for the older model boots, like on the Glove page under each of the shoes colors on the left there's a plus icon and a Buy Now link. Each of those links under each boot color goes to the same page.
Appreciate all the help, thanks.

Hi,
Ok, had a chat to the warehouse and you could be very lucky. They have one pair of the Spark Dark Silver/Black left. (We'd recommend you go for 8.5 US in both the Spark and the Glove).
All you need to do is send me your email address and I will email you back a special link that allows you to buy the package.
Thanks

I have been looking at purchasing the nomis magnet seem as i can get it for £37.50 i had two or three questions. 1. Is this a good price for the boot in adult sizes? 2. I am a 7 in the adidas predator absolute and adidas world cup. What size would you recommend for me, i like to have a bit of room for growth. 3. Havent heard any reviews of these boots so was curious to the quality and peoples opinions. Cheers

Yes that is a good price! Would recommend the same size - size 7 (just try them on). You want to buy the right size initially as there won't really be any stretch in the leather. The quality is still good, the draw backs from the more expensive models really are the touch, feel and comfort won't be quite as good. The reviews have been good for the magnet (to be honest we have not received a bad review yet), but we've only had a couple on the magnet so far.
QUOTE

Cold water and a soft cloth and allow them to dry naturally (they should dry very quickly as low water absorption). There will soon be booster cloths you can buy to clean them with too which also boosts the grip.
QUOTE

I'm working on some photos of mud vs nomud boots. Just waiting for the drought to end in Brisbane so I can do a 90 minute game on a wet pitch. Somebody in the UK sent us these pics of theirs and their friends boots after the same game (He was trialling the tecnology and the technology was further improved before launch)...

QUOTE

Yes the second pair is shorter, although someone on this forum posted that they were still too long. I told Simon, he told the factory, measured them and will be supplying shorter laces on the new boot run.

Tricky one this really as the pros who choose to wear the boots are split 50/50 between the Glove and the Spark (plus there are a couple who wear the Black Pearl). The Instinct & Flare are new and worn by a couple too. I would probably say the Glove, as that has got the best "feel" on the ball. However, in Ireland you might benefit from the "nomud" technology so the Instinct or Flare might be the way to go.
Thanks
