Can you be any more of a diva?

.... I said that Nomis had copied the F50's design, I didn't say that Adidas came up with the idea!

.....P.s The lace-cover on the F50's and the Flare's have velcro and the F50's aren't a copy of the Baleni's since the lace-covers don't have the same design!

What a great history of lace-covers you possess....

the boot design calls for a lace cover, and honestly how different can you go with the design of lace covers?
adidas f50's, f50+'s, tunits, reeboks range, and this nomis.. they all have lace cover.. they look alike because thats how lace covers looks like. i really dont think u can go any more different from each other.

I have a question for everyone that owns Nomis Sparks FG. I have a pair of the blue colourway. I have worn them for about 20 matches and have noticed that at the toe of one boot the colouring is 'chipping' off and exposing a material underneath like thin wool threads sewn together. It isn't hapeening anywhere else that I can see. I am a goalkeeper so it's not from dragging my foot when I throw in and I don't toe punt so i'm at a lost at what it could be caused by. I clean my boots after every weekend (2 matches) and ensure they are dry before returning them to their boot bag (which I don't zip up until match day so they can still 'breathe'.) Has anyone else had this problem?

That Flare model did not make it to the Australian market, so as the online store orders are shipped from Australia, this is not online. However it is stocked in the UK, so I would give them a call on +44 (0) 1244 681 007 - they might be able to sell to you directly or direct you to a retailer who sells it.

Hmm, ebay... I'm pretty sure Nomis does not encourage any ebay sellers due to the obvious reasons of not being able to guarantee the authenticity of the seller/product's history. I'd recommend that you also email the pictures to customerservice@nomissports.com, although again I am not sure what the policy is on returns from a non-authorised retailer.

Hiya im Claire, ive been playin football since i was 7 for both boys, girls and now with a ladies team(im now 17). ive always played since i can remember in adidas predators but recently bought the newish red adidas absolute predators and was really dissapointed in them compaired to previous 2 models. so point being im looking for a new boot and im really intested in trying the new womens spark boot by nomis.
im just scared of paying 100pound for boots i cannot try on or see before i pay all that money for them. as ive always played in predators, would i be able to adapt easily to nomis womens? i have worn womens predator hysteria a few years ago now and they were by far the best boots ive ever worn. im from the Uk and play on some pretty bad pitches, so would they hold out the bad conditions?
i really need help quick as season started and i cant stand the material on these new preds for much longer its making my game poor!!!
thanks

Hi Claire
Ok, give Nomis UK a call and I am sure they will be able to help you out with any questions you have. They also sell direct and might be able to organise to get you a pair to try on in one of your local shops if they have a stockist near you. Their number is +44 (0) 1244 681 007
Let me know how you get on.

Michael,
Is the only way to get a pair of Nomis Instinct/Flare SG Black/White in Australia to buy online from an international retailer? I noticed Lloyd Johanson wearing a pair in the Reds vs Fiji Development XV (the green/white) and have seen a few rugby players in Europe wearing them as of late (the Black/White SG). Just wondering

I believe Nomis will be in 60 of 65 Rebel stores from December/January so you will start seeing a lot more of the boots in store. SG boots are limited in Australia - They are available in Glove, Black Pearl, Instinct and Flare. Although just checking through the stock levels I see the Flare and Black/White Instinct have sold out. There might be more coming in, I'll check for you.

Size recommendation is to buy a half size smaller as the K-Leather will stretch to your foot for a great fit.
Durability should not be an issue - what do you mean by bad pitches? And which colourway are you after?

In those conditions I would recommend the Glove (Women's version now available). I know in Australia the Spark Women's is a mauve colour, although footyboots4... might have other colour variations. As long as you look after your boots in the recommended way, the technology will not be ruined at all.

ive just seen the glove boot in womens and i quite like it.
if i did go for the glove if i was using it in dry conditions too, would it still be affective??
will the boots feel too differnt from adidas preds?
are they not bringing out any more colours in the womens range?

Yes the Wet Control Glove still offers 4x more grip than any other leather boot in dry conditions. The beauty of the boot is how the grip increases when it gets wet (hence the name Wet Control).
Couldn't really say about the fit compared to preds, I would hazard a guess that you would have better ball feel and comfort though.
The Glove is definately only available in the one colour (it's a brand new boot) but you may be able to get the women's Spark in mauve, bluewave and yellow from the UK - I'm not sure on that though.
I've also just heard news that 11 top women soccer players, (4 England, 3 wales, 3 Scotland and 1 Ireland) have chosen to wear the Women's range. More info on that when I have it. Whilst I'm talking players, seems like there will be a lot more Nomis visable in the EPL soon and another 15 Super 14 players want to wear the boots. Wahoo!
Thanks
Michael
Hey Ejtek, I am right that you live in Brisbane? I was speaking to the boss about the Black/White Instincts and he said they don't have plans to bring those into Australia yet (as all of the pros will be wearing the Green/White Instinct SG or the Glove SG). He invited you around the office...

No, Harry Kewell has not signed any contract with Nomis. He has chosen to wear Nomis boots as he loves the comfort & performance they give him (adidas are aware of this decision).
Of course this is the biggest endorsement the Nomis brand can have and I believe Nomis are over the moon! How often does a superstar choose comfort over money?
As spotted by some eagle-eyed forum members, Harry first appeared wearing a pair of Nomis Sparks (with the logos cut off) in the FA Cup final. This was his choice and had nothing to do with Nomis. Obviously I did not mention this at the time as there was no contact between Nomis and Kewell, so we didn‚t know why he was wearing them. We were amazed! Then during the World Cup he continued wearing Nomis during training.
When Kewell returns for Liverpool he will be wearing a special boot made specifically for him, which adidas are aware of.
Good stuff eh!
QUOTE
Would not have thought so. trying to get in contact with him to find out where he got them from. He is not an authorised retailer so no returns policy would be in place with Nomis. Buy at own risk!
