Great work! Nomis certainly deserves this kind of recognition.

Good work on getting Harry thumbsup.gif Is there a possibility that there will be an Australian (green/gold) boot for when he plays for Australia?

thats what they should do anyway, but not just him..for the whole team!

but i can see the challenge for a small company as Nomis in doing that.
Pubes
congrats! thats fantastic for the company..cant wait for these pics..sounds like a good colorway..are these the dual controls possibly?

yeah they do look (quote) "nasty" dry.gif tongue.gif

look very nice, dont actually stand out as much as i'd thought.

look good with that uniform. its a really good sign when a player chooses your boots over adidas/nike contracts because they think theyre more comfortable, and not for the money.

or just could've been the boots that gave him the control and destroyed Charlton smile.gif whistling.gif
Chippen™
Poor Lua Lua. Wasn't it his daugher who died during the world cup and they didn't tell him about it before after one week?

Michael,

Is there any definate dates/months that you know of when any of the boots from the 2007 range will debut?

And also, will there be any with the Dual Control technology or is that still in the prototype stage?
Hello_Nomis
It's the first Nomis somersault! Wahoo.
IPB Image

Regarding Dual control, it would seem that some boots in the UK already are sporting this technology, but I will find out launch dates for Australia when I can.

The HK07 Spark will debut Dual Control. Should be getting some pics of these boots Monday or Tuesday.
ejteK
Cheers, can't wait!

nomis is doing a great job!
cant wait for those HK07's eyepopping.gif
Ayresome
Michael, will there be any dual control turfs?

I would love to find out what the release dates would be for them, my birthday's coming up so I hope sooner rather than later.

how come on the website (www.nomisfootball.com) the Kids boots are a lot more expensive than the Adult sizes!? usually its the other way about with boots.

Anyway, right now my favourite Nomis are the Yellow/Black ones! stunning boot, although a few people in my team have the one thats practically Blackout-also a nice boot.

Really? Could you give me the link to a guilty page so I can correct this please. Of course the Kid's boots are cheaper.

Thanks
Michael
CubasGreatest
yeah, hey Michael, you mind hurrying up and getting those pics of the HK07s? i was just looking back at the ones HK wore for a while (the green and yellow ones) and ahhhhhhhhhh!, i need to see the ones that are coming out. maybe a release date and price would be good eh?
Hello_Nomis
The boots are already out in selected retailers only (Rebel and some soccer specialist stores) throughout Australia. As it is selected ones only (about 40 stores) am I able to post the stores here, or does that infringe forum guidelines?

I will have pictures tomorrow as just waiting for disc from the photographers. As soon as I have them I will post them.

Thanks
Michael

Here is some info about the boot (product release blurb):

Available exclusively through Rebel Sports, specialist soccer stores and shopnomis.com is the limited edition Harry Kewell Spark, launched to celebrate Harry Kewell chosing to wear Nomis for comfort and performance, not a contract!

The Spark HK07 will be worn by Kewell this season. Matching Liverpool's home kit, and featuring Kewell's name, squad number and a personalised sock liner, this great looking boot commands style and performance! In fact, this stunning boot is packed full of so many features it is hard to know where to begin!

Important sizing information: We recommend you buy 1/2 size smaller than your usual fit (if currently wearing another brand). The supple one piece K-Leather will stretch slightly after a few games, fitting perfectly around your foot.

Dual Control

The Spark HK 07 premiers this new Control Technology from Nomis. Dry Control Technology has been developed and improved to offer even better grip and control in playing conditions where light moisture is present, whilst still maintaining up to 16x more grip in the dry than other leather boots.

nomud

Nomud is the innovative new technology applied to the outsoles of the boots. It significantly reduces the amount of grass, mud and dirt that is collected during normal game play. Even with the lightest boots available, playing on a normal pitch, mud and grass build up can significantly increase the weight of the boots. With nomud technology your boots will be as light at the end of the game as they were at the start. Not only does nomud technology keep the weight of your boots down, but it will also help in keeping your blades/studs free of mud build up, improving your traction and grip on the ground. Another great feature of nomud technology is that you will have less cleaning as it is a self-cleaning technology.

Raised heel gets you quicker to the ball!

The Spark HK07 offers a new foot position by elevating the heel. By raising the heel slightly, your foot is now better positioned for sprinting. You’ll be quicker off the mark and quicker to the ball! The raised heel also reduces the impact force on your heel, helping to prevent heel injuries.

Upper Features

Soft, supple and strong K-Leather upper (Control Technology boosts strength and durability)
Low Water Adsorption (less than 4%) means lighter boots during game play and super fast to dry.

Midsole Features

Newly shaped and integrated heel counter for better fit and support
Choice of sock liners for maximum comfort, stability and customised fit.
New EVA foam heel wedge midsole fitted into the heel strike area offers unparalleled cushioning and shock dispersion.

Outsole Features

Features all new nomud Technology which greatly minimises the amount of dirt that will stick to the outsole
Dual density sole provides greater pressure dispersion for better comfort and less stud pressure
Semi curved blades allow for the foot’s natural turn
Wider stud positions improves pressure dispersion for better comfort and improved stability
Blades designed to increase traction and boot grip in forward movements.

Other Features

Packaged in free shoe bag
Spare Laces
Control Technology Booster Cloth

Feel free to post the stores here.

Also Michael, if you haven't already seen it, grab todays The Courier-Mail and flip to the sports section and theres about 6 pictures of Lomana Lualua...with the Blue Wave Spark in each photo! Page 61, check it out!

Can anything else go right for Nomis right now? Ha!

Will the HK07's cost more than regular sparks because they're limited edition and a signature boot?

Through Shop Nomis the adult version will retail at AU$299.95 - please note as we love our retailers so much it will be cheaper by $15 in stores. Kid's price AU$174.95 - again cheaper in stores.

Michael, sorry if this is rude but what are you to do with Nomis? are you owner or something?

Very first post in this topic...

QUOTE(Hello_Nomis @ Oct 27 2005, 09:39 AM) *

Hi all

I'd like to introduce myself first - my name is Michael Randerson and I am the Creative Director of a design agency called Hello Media. We are currently designing the new website for Nomis and I am looking to develop a FAQ section - for which I need your help!

I am basically asking you to ask me any question you may have about Nomis - anything! I am in direct contant with Simon Skirrow (Head of Nomis Sports and co-developer of the Predator - as I am sure you are aware) and he has agreed to personally answer all the questions so I can post them back here. The idea is that we can then build a comprehensive FAQ section on the website that actually reflects what players want to know - not some corporate babble that we make up!

I have spoken to the boards moderators before posting this and they are happy for me to do so.

I would just like to note that I am not going to be advertising or glorifying these boots. I want to remain impartial on this board to avoid any marketing acquisations.

I believe that I am giving you a unique opportunity with access to one of the most influential boot designers there has ever been, so hopefully it can be a win-win.

So, please ask me some questions!

Thanks
Michael

Michael, since you can put an input into the making of Nomis how about this? maybe not this model but this colour range?

Sorry about not answering! The HK07 is not currently coming out as a Turf shoe to my knowledge, and I would assume future models of the turf shoe would include Dual Control.

G-Run - great colour way! It's actually quite similar to something in the pipeline...

Hopefully have pics of the HK07 Spark today, although got to do a lot of work for the German market that Nomis are about to launch in.

Thanks

Don't wanna sound stupid here, but what are the HK07 that are much talked about in this thread?
Ayresome
Special version of the Nomis Spark commemorating Harry Kewell choosing to cancel his Adidas contract to wear Nomis, even though Nomis aren't going to pay him, he chose them for comfort.

They will be Liverpool red with Harry Kewell's name and number (7) on them, hense the name HK07. thumbsup.gif

Ps. Michael, Nomis should investigate Adidas' leather on the Aviero 3s, the leather isn't quite leather it seems tackier like what I hear the Dry Control is like, it may just have been the store model but you should look into it.
CubasGreatest
Also, Micheal, you should suggest to Nomis that there should be a generic HK07. without the "Harry Kewell" and the "07". kinda like the Ronaldinho R10s, some people didn't like the whole R and 10 on the tongues but yeah, w/e. gonna be a great boot! can't wait to see pics!

Harry Kewell didn't "CANCEL" his contract with adidas, his contract was up after WC06 and both parties decided that this would be the best way forward.

I wear the NOMIS sparks which i bought back in april..and i have to say there by far the best boots i have ever worn, most comftable and though i didnt realli belive in this "extra grip", i really feel as though you get more control on the ball from your first touch. thumbsup.gif Great boot......and i think that new desgin looks great, thats the only thing id reccomend for the boots is better coulour disgns and maybe look at different lacing positons?

i also have another question thta i will pm you with!

p.s tell simon i said thanks for a great boot bigsmile.gif
Hello_Nomis
Ok, sorry about the delay. The Spark HK07. I posted the details about the boot earlier, but to recap, this boot premiers Dual Control, has a midsole wedge and features nomud technology. Personally, this is my favourite Nomis pair of boot yet. Enjoy. Retailers coming in the next couple of days.
