They look great!! i was planing to buy a pair of instincts but now i'm looking at those aswell haha tough choice.
Chippen™
I said earlier that Nomis are over-designed, but in this colourway they really look good!
CubasGreatest
they look great. release date? any other colorways gonna come out later? and seeing that the new boots are having a new midsole and heel counter and all, is there a chance that we're gonna be getting a next generation Glove or Spark?

oh, and by the way Michael, i heard product testing does great stuff for Nike. i think Nomis should send me a pair of the HK07s so i can test them bigsmile.gif whistling.gif
Ayresome
I really like the colour and all but I'm not sure about having Kewell 7 on them, HK07 and I would've snapped them up like that, still look great though thumbsup.gif
ejteK
So Michael, just to recap what you said before....Is there going to be the same Spark boot without the #7 and Kewell on it? Because I've been looking at white/red boots for next season and these are perfect!
copious
these look awesome! I can see some St George Illawarra players wearing these lol. Hmm if my Gloves start to die I will definately pick these up, if they dont cost me an arm and a leg.
penf.pat.15
yeah, those boots are AMAZING... if they're sold without Kewell and 7, i'll buy a pair when my sparks stop working for me

for some reason, this design makes me want it a lot.. it looks "better" than the original design for the sparks
soccerfamous
WOW!!...whats that/??u want to give me a pair bigsmile.gif lol they look sick i think you bring the boot out with different designs like different numbers lol and without kewll maybe....then we could buy the boots with our team numbers on it wouldnt that be sweet lol
ejteK
Also Michael, will there be an SG version of this boot? If yes, they're MINE!
shoegoe
Sweeet boots, now at the top of my list, anyone else like the removal of the 'wet/dry control' text, I'm gonna get one of the 2007 range boots early next year and for the fairly high price I will be remembering which one it was bigsmile.gif
Ayresome
michael would there be a way i could order a pair of boots from you somehow, I want a pair of turfs for my birthday at the end of October and I've decided I want some gloves/sparks. But I need a 7UK. And sportsshoes.com have 6.5 and 7.5 but no 7. Also when would the dual control turfs be released? about January? or maybe you could make an exception for me and release on a day in October, errm at random maybe the 24th? smile.gif
pnedved11
just out of curiosity is there going to be a black out or white out instinct or spark?
Malu
thats just too sweet

The removal is just for this boot to allow Kewell's name to be in that same location.

I'm not sure what the score is with Dual Control Turfs - I will see if I can get some more info.

I'm not sure about an all black or all white instinct - haven't seen one yet, but that doesn't mean to say one is not being made. Again I will see if I can get any info on this.

Another nice touch on the new boots is that they all have their names on them on the back of the tounge. I will see if I can get a shot on the HK07 Spark.

Thanks
Michael
Huangers
awesome please do! if you cant could u please describe the look of them? like if they are similar to other nomis boot designs.

CubasGreatest
well, if advertising is anything right now, then the Spark HK07 is the best Nomis boot.

anyway, hey Michael, any chance of the HK07s comin to Soccer.com?
IkeVoid
If i bought a pair of nomis from eurosport and there was a defect, should i contact nomis or eurosport?
Mr Stoke City Football Clu
look through all the paperwork that came with your boots and there is probably a returns form. if not email and see what they say.

EDIT: I found a website with most Nomis boots under £100 i'm thinking about blackout gloves. Theres also loads of other cheap boots take a look. LINK

Michael, the Shopnomis site says we should choose one whole size down from our usual size, when we buy the Flare. Is that one whole size down from Adidas or Nike?

Tony Hibbert? Didn't know about him either!

Regarding Flare sizes - unfortunately it is a general recommendation and I can't give more specific sizing info based on one brand versus another. Is there a big size difference between adidas and nike?
CubasGreatest
i think there is a difference in their sizing.

i'm not sure, but 9 UK for Nike means 9.5 US i think, i think

and in adidas 9 UK is 10 US. could be the difference? not 100% sure if any of that is right. think it might be backwards
ejteK
Otherway around.

Nike converts from UK to US in a full size (e.g. UK 9 - US 19).
Adidas converts from UK to US in a half size (e.g. UK 9 - US 9.5).
vanpersie17
Hey Michael, will Nomis still be releasing this silver/black instinct?Click to view attachment
ejteK
I asked that a while ago...If i remember correctly he said only the White/Green instinct will be released on the Aus market.
vanpersie17
But is it still possible to buy the other colours of the Nomis website?
ejteK
www.shopnomis.com

Gold/White Instinct
Green/White Instinct
Black/White Instinct

But not the Silver/Black colourway you posted up there^^.

Tried the Kewells on today

not bad at all

but they are soooo long

Size US 11 in absolutes (perfect fit) - Size US 9.5 in Kewell Sparks for a similar fit!!!
ejteK
God damn, great well now we know what to say in those annoying "HK07 Sizing" that say "If i wear a size 11 in absolutes what size should I get"....and saying size 9.5 isnt going to get a serious reaction at all.

It's half a size difference, as someone pointed out. It doesn't seem like a big difference but it can be the difference between great fit and poor fit.

Yeah, that's what I have found as well. You need to go down 1.5 sizes for the Spark, not just 1 size as suggested by the Shopnomis page.

I guess I am not the only one to have different sizes for the Glove and Spark!

More questions:

1) Are the Silver/black Flare available at all? I don't seem to be able to find any shop with those.

2) When are the indoor models coming out? Will there be an indoor model for the Flare or Instinct?

Thanks Michael.
Chippen™
Isn't there any size guide which includes the sizes in centimetres, for example, at Nomis?

Makes everything a lot easier!
AHCL20
Problem with that, is these 'guides' are never accurate and will just vary brand by brand.

Obviously a personal fitting will be conclusive, but for boots like Nomis they are not widely available so you just have to pick the best guess when ordering online...

hmm, interesting. my Gloves and Sparks are both the same size (a full size down from my nike's) and they fit perfect. I'm starting to prefer the Gloves between the two though.
AHCL20
Agreed. The wet grip boots are worth more money than the dry grip ones.
CubasGreatest
ok, this isn't too good now. i was hoping to buy some Sparks in size 10 cause i usually wear 10.5 in just about any shoe but now i don't know if i should. and i'm scared to get the 9.5s because i had some Puma Cellerator Ks a while back in 9.5 and my foot felt like it was losing circulation to it. they were soooooo tight, i was dying and the leather stretched only a tiny bit after 3 games. so help me out now please

That's the point of having them! It will vary between Nikes and Nomis but here's an example:

Let's say that a UK6 in Vapors are 25 cm long and a UK6 in Flare's are 26 cm long, then if you've owned Vapors and they fit you fine in UK6, you know that you will have to go down a size in Flare's!

I know what you were saying the first time round.

But I have found that to be inaccurate because a Nike 25 cm doesn't always equal a Adidas 25 cm. Perhaps it has to do with the width of the boot, but I don't really know. I wouldn't decide on the size this way.

And obviously, if this way worked, then we wouldn't have some people going down a size in the Spark and some going down 1.5 sizes!
Hello_Nomis
Down 1.5 Sizes? Wow. That's a bit odd. I'm going over to Nomis today so I'm going to stick a pair on myself and see what I am.

What size Black/Silver Instinct did you want?
vanpersie17
I was looking at size 12, because im usually 13 in predators (haha hope that was aimed at me)
Hello_Nomis
Ok, just come back from Nomis and tried a pair of the HK07's on. Firstly, wow! What a comfortable boot - super impressed by them. With the sizing it was one size smaller, so they are comparitive to the fit of the Flare and Instinct. Talking to the team they say this may be due to the midsole wedge which is a feature of the HK07 and the Instinct/Flare.

vanpersie17 - I will contact the UK and see if they can get a pair shipped over as they are not stocked in Australia. You may need to call the UK directly to buy them, although you would have to cover shipping and that might be a few dollars more. I was hoping that your size would be a sample size and I could see if there was a sample pair no longer needed... But sadly not.

Thanks
Michael
vanpersie17
Sounds good, all i need to do is save up some money crying_new.gif . I'm going to try on some gloves this weekend and so i may get them if I like them but i love the look of the instincts.
AHCL20
Sorry for 'bumping' my questions from a day ago, but just wanted to ask Michael again: when are the Nomis indoor shoes out, and will there be a Flare/Instinct indoor model?

Think I will be getting the Flare...

The HK07 is now out.

Regarding the indoors, I really can't say as I don't know. I would expect they are still some months away as I know other products are being developed. Unfortunately there's a limit on what I can find out. Maybe they will be an 07/08 release? I really couldn't say - Sorry.

Photos for the indoor models can be found on both Nomis' website or shopnomis.com. I think on the Nomis website they have 4-5 models (Spark, Glove, and their lower-end counterparts.) Those pics have been around for a while (I think since the website went online) so I thought maybe they will be released soon.

The HK07 is available on shopnomis UK website.

Just curious, does anyone have the Flare who can give me some comments on them?

I see your point!..It's just a matter of trust for the companies, and I personally trust them regarding their sizes! thumbsup.gif

I went to Rebel Sports last night and they had 20% OFF everything for NRMA members, would of been sweet to buy the Nomis's. But they are having a 10 day Blitz sale so it might be worth checking out to see if they are on sale.
AHCL20
At least there's somewhere to get Nomis boots for cheap! In the UK everywhere's selling at RRP...

And i thought Pro-Direct Soccer was supposed to stock Nomis boots from July?
