id like to know what the difference between FG boots and HG boots are...i had a look and the HG sole is a one piece but whats the use of that? does it matter that much? are both good on hard surfaces?
thanks

i think HG are for properly hard ground; like if you are playing on say a rock solid pitch; where even hg studs wont break the surface or give you any real grip.
HG soleplates are in one piece i think so that they minimize any damage that could be caused to the boot by playing on a really hard surface, although this is just a guess...

well take another look and u will see that on adidas HG, the studs are bigger and more of them. FG are thin and less. also, HG have 2 lined running down the middle for support and they have a better surface area.

ive got a pair of supernova hard grounds and a pair of firm grounds. the HG are more comfortable and give a sorft of cushion where the FG cannot.
i would not have bought them if i didnt get such a deal on ebay. proabablly not worth the money.

the hg studs ar more durable and hard so they can resist and have more life also because they are harder they penetrate the rock or whatever hg sur, face more than fg.

HG studs cover a larger surface area, so spreads the pressure of your body around a larger area, reducing pressure. SG studs are fewer in number, cover a much smaller surface area, so the pressure is spread over a smaller area, so in affect give more grip. ie running shoes are flat, the soles cover a large surface area to minimise shock, while high heels are able to damager concrete floors because the heels are exerting so much pressure onto to the floor, as there is much less surface area in contact with the floor. Well, thats what i learn't from Physics anyway.

I have the original f50's in hard ground and there just a little shorter, but no real differnce when playing!

hard ground is for the field ground when it has been very dry or it is partially frozen but you should just stick wit the fg because thy will work any time

Yeah HG are just to spread the weight more, and I agree that you should just stick with FG because they work in all conditions unless it is an extreme condititon, ie, Ice on a pitch...
