Well first you have to tryout for ODP and if u make that team they will lead u through the process. First ODP then Regionals,Then the National pool then the national team.

To be on the US Youth National team is a huge commitment. Generally, you will move to Bradenton Florida to train with at the IMG Academy and you will be schooled at an accelerated pace. You'll more or less be at a soccer boarding school.

and from what I have heard at regional camp you the accademics at the residency is not very good. It wouldn't matter that much to me though. But not everyone on the national team is in residency. Only the best players.

I know a few players from the U16 national team. I was playing with the Arsenal Premier Team from Coast Soccer Club league in California and they were picked up and are currently playing with them. They always have to leave the state inorder to participate in different country's friendly's. They were just in florida having friendly's with local team's there.
