Small quick question.
What is the best way to dry boots out. I know you are not meant to put them in front of a fire or the like so what do people here do when their boots are completely soaked through.

You should put some newspaper in em. It goes a lot quicker.

What he said^^^
My boots were soaked the other week but dried in no time because the newspaper soaked up all the water.
I also recommend NOT putting your boots next to the radiator.

I take the insoles out and put the boots facing a fan for about an hour after i clean them. Works like a charm.

I use paper towels, but with all this talk about newspaper...
my trainer even said newspaper, but I thought paper towels soak up better/more.
next rain day, it's newspaper!

I basically take the insoles out, put a bit of newspaper in and let them dry on the balcony. Works well.
Oh, and don't let them out on direct sunlight, the leather would screw up.

I wouldnt advise using too much newspaper this can make your boots out of shape especially if very wet as the leather will mould to the shape of the newspaper, ie if you stuff your boots with newspaper your boots could become stretched. Best thing to do is bring your boots into the house a put them in normal room tempreture. This insures that the leather will not crack if it is too hot, for example under a radiator and will allow the boot to dry naturally in the room while still remaining in their natural mould.

i wasnt stating that they stuff their boots, i was merely saying that putting newspaper in your boots can have its problems.
I've put my boots in the linen cupboard in my house to dry where its around average room tempreture.
