The only tip i could giving you is go to running reguarly and do press ups, sit ups and other things like that everyday. Also give your self a target in that month you've got off like to run 3 mile or something like that.
Hope it helps.

Swim! its the best exercise and really works all muscles! swim 10 lengths then rest for 5 minutes! you should do 5 sets to start off with!

sounds like you play for a club/team. you should know how to keep urself fit by now. anyway running, treadmills, balanced diet, swimming, cycling and all other obvious answers should keep you fit.

So, playing 2 hours a day - aka... getting your heart rate up every day isn't fitness

?

You just really need to maintain your fitness level, which can be done by basically what's been mentioned here. One thing you really should focus on though is diet, which really does help more than you'd think. I'd also recommend swimming, instead of say running, because it puts less stress on your joints - which you probably got a lot of during season. It can't hurt to have some recovery!

hehe works for me, just play football regulalerly, and the stamina will probally improve

the swimming thing is a good idea, try going like 50 laps, if u feel tired just go slowly, do it
regularly for like 6 months (but 1 month will do i guess) and it will be good... if u dont do it regularly (e.g. at least once a week), then there is like not much increase in stamina../keeping fit

swim, jog, play with your friends, no intensive trainings
maybe go to a gym 2 times a week
bassicaly dont sit on your couch all day doing nothing, i used to do that...and it's not good........
bassicaly stay active and dont train too much or you might get injured and you don't want that
