I have a barcelona away 04/05 kit and the lettering has jus started to peel off! Frantically searched everywhere and was advised WonderWeb was the product for the job! only when the shirt went in the wash the lettering began peeling off again! any suggestions people?

Buy another team's Jersey that's not made by Nike, and their shitty quality...
(Jokes)

I would suggest stitch-witch, it's something used to keep things in place by adhering them with an iron (must be careful since this is a jersey, and then sewing said item.

With the lettering you obviously do not need to sew anything, but you will wanna use a towel over the lettering so you do not burn the shit out of the jersey.. although being a barcelona jersey who cares right? (jokes)

Hope this helps smile.gif

Same thing is happening with the A and Z in ZAFIRA on my Milan jersey. I hope you get it fixed, because I need a solution, too.

When you've washed your shirts, did you put them in the washing machine or did you hand wash them? Because hand washing is a lot better way to keep them safe. Or if you have them in the normal cycle you could probably put them into those delicate wash baggies before you throw them in the wash. shrug03.gif

Well you can prevent the lettering from peeling off by overturning the shirt so that the lettering faces on the inside instead of being exposed when you throw them into the washing machine.
This method certainly helps to prevent it.
Perhaps you can try bringing it back to the shop who sold you the shirt cuz if they have to way to attach the lettering on the jersey, I think they would have a way to help you.

Sorry but other than that I cant think of another way to help you cuz the lettering on my jerseys never peeled off before.

I think you should start handwashing it from now on. I always handwash my football shirts (well.. actually my mum does it for me, but that's besides the point really) and I've never had a problem with the letters/number/logo etc. peeling

same thing happened to the umber on my puyol shirt so i just ripped the number off...and trust me do not ever do that

Hmm! I thought only replicas would have this problem. The EPL logo on my shoulder is getting wrecked. Those delicate washing bags sound like a good solution.

sorry to bring up an old thread...

but i had washed my usa away shirt in the washing machine as i normally do. i wash inside/out.

anyhow, when i took it out of the washer, the right corner of the back number (onyewu 22) was peeling off. of course, i started panicking.

so i waited for it to dry. then i laid it on an ironing board and placed a clean pillowcase in between the part that was peeling and the iron. i set the iron to maximum heat without steam. then i pressed the iron against the part that was peeling for about five minutes. most of it had pressed back on, but the corner was still apart. so i pressed for another five minutes and now it's good. *knock on wood*

hopefully it will stay on...but i thought some of you might like to know just in case it happens to you.

Go to any soccer/footie store that has a heat press and ask them to do it.

Here in the states, I work at a soccer store and re-press names and numbers that are falling off often.

What a small world...

I work at Soccer4All in Rice Village. Most/Any Soccer4All should do it for you free of charge, though they'd prob be more accommodating if you buy something then ask for it.
