when i was in italy this past summer for casual shoes EVERY guy had a pair of nike air max 97s or air max 2003s, the 2003s kinda look like vapurs and both are really comfortable.
For boots Lotto and Diadora and Nike are popular, Asics is also another popular boot brand.

i don't think much people wear the pantofola d'oro shoes even though they are italian.

Yup, that is not a very well known brand.

I doubt Pantofola d'oro even make casual shoes, unless you wanna walk the streets wearing studs

Diadora, Lotto, and Asics have many pros who play in Italy on their books.
I'm an Inter fan and I noticed that lots of Inter players are sponsored by Asics: Recoba and Veron are obvious, then there're others like Kily Gonzalez, Burdisso and Carini (on loan away).
I think nearly all of Diadora's leading footballers are from the Serie A, besides Roy Keane and someone in Spain. Check out their website.
Lotto's got more representation outside Italy, quite a number of players wore the Zhero.

congratulations on earning a trial and good luck mate all the best. I'm sure they will choose players not on whether they look the part with their kit but whether they look the part on the field. Let your skills do the talking not the boots.

Id have to say kappa and diadora cuz they sponsor most of the teams in italy

Yeah, Nike air max 97 (also known as "Silver") and 2003 are very popular here in Italy.

holy crap dude!!! that would be my dream to play in seria B or even C!!!
if anything, you're going to want to stand out a little, but since you are trying out (only one i presume?) all eyes will already be on you.
play with the boots that you feel comfortable with <-- those same boots that earned you a spot to tryout!
best of luck, keep in touch with SP if you make it.
