Raptors are in real hot form right now. It's near impossible for the Nets to catch up sadly. I'm hoping we make it as 8th seed and face Pistons. We kinda have good matchup against them so it's going to be real interesting. Hopefully Nets go through.

if Nash wins the MVP this year, im gonna jump off a cliff. i think hes a good player, but he didnt deserve to win 2 yrs in a row and not to mention 3. Its all about Dirk this year, and im not even a Dallas fan(im from Houston)
Nash is in fine form and is probably always in consideration as long as he plays this way but I even don't see him winning 3 consecutive MVP. He isn't even Top 5 All-Time PG in my book or most of the NBA fans but getting more MVP than most of them? Meh. Having 3 MVP = Larry Bird, Magic Johnson calibre. Can't mention Nash in same sentence with those guys. The likes of Shaq, Garnett, Duncan, Hakeem, Karl Malone, David Robinson, Barkley only has 1 or 2 MVP and Nash being considered above? Haha.
Superior point guard such as Payton, Kidd, Stockton, Isiah, Oscar, Cousy have either no or one MVP too. Dirk's been playing real well and his team is no.1 so gotta give it to him this season.
Shaq feels that way too.

O'Neal calls Nash's MVPs 'tainted'
MINNESOTA - Often, Steve Nash is sainted for his two MVP seasons, but Shaquille O'Neal considers them to be "tainted."
After Miami's loss in Dallas on Thursday, O'Neal was engaged in an MVP discussion as it related to the Mavericks' Dirk Nowitzki. O'Neal questioned how the media picks MVPs and said the award has been "tainted" the past two seasons. O'Neal was the runner-up for Nash's first MVP in 2005.
O'Neal repeated "tainted" references to reporters.
"I don't know what to say," Nash said. "I'm sorry he feels that way."

"Lamar Odom walked out of the Lakers' practice facility Saturday afternoon wearing the grim expression he has been trying to keep from overtaking his face all season. In response to a question about how challenging his season has been, Odom mumbled some remarks about trying to stay positive. Odom would take the official hit a few minutes later when he was informed he has a torn left labrum that could require shoulder surgery and end his season - the same injury and result that befell him in 2005. Odom will be examined by Angels team doctor Lewis Yocum on Monday to see if surgery can be avoided, but there is a danger of additional tearing if Odom returns and is not pain-free." Orange County Register
Like jrml8 said, Lakers are in deep trouble. They are losing their form and with Odom out, more burden for Kobe. Yao Ming is also likely to be back by next Monday. Good news for Houston fans. Even though Mutombo has filled in really well, having Yao back certainly helps in scoring department inside.

"The day began auspiciously when Richard Jefferson warmed up with the Nets before the game for the first time since having arthroscopic surgery to remove loose fragments from his right ankle Jan. 22. He will travel with the team on its six-game trip, which begins Sunday in Philadelphia, and he may play as early as next week. “There is no timetable for him to play,” Frank said before the game. “We just want to try to reintegrate him back in with the team. Again, the feeling is that if he wasn’t going to play on the trip, we wouldn’t take him.” Frank said that an early infection had set back Jefferson’s rehabilitation by about a week. Jefferson did some cutting and took shots Saturday, but he did not dunk." New York Times
Jefferson should be back in few weeks. With him back, I'm hoping Nets can turn around this inconsistent form. Losing to Celtics and 76ers...gosh. Still, Congrat to Kidd for another Triple Double: 11 pts 14 assists 14 rebound. 85th for his career and 10 for the season. Absolute legend. Too bad the team lost
