Check out Trezuguet's F-50's. They have the same leather siding, not microfibre. I think the first generation F-50's made for players had that, only.

I really think it's just the case of big name pro players being able to get what they want in terms of their boots. The mesh on the boots took in too much water and many pro players would not want to put up with that. Also the durability of the mesh on the f-50's is bad and at the level players like trez and Cisse play at they need something that will hold up under the extreme pressure they put their shoes under.

Adidas also wants their players to have total visability with their boots and the mesh that was white would often turn brown with a few wearings they would make the boots look bad on tv. Cisse has the same thing with the mesh area on his. I am wondering if that was down to visability as much as performance,

Trez and Cisse also were Pred guys up to the release of the F-50, they may have requested a more supportive leather boot since that was what they were use to. Their boots are made to measure because the last that adidas builds their boot on doesnt work for the playerrs foot type and they want instant comfort and adidas wants them in the shoes as soon as possible so they give them what they want.

I bet if it was down to the players most of them would be in Copas because of the fit of the boot, I have heard that many players request their high tech boots to be made on the Copa last if it isnt made from a last shaped to their specific foot type.

Also the "mesh" area seems to be a synthetic much like the f-50+ goal model

Something peculiar to me is how these pros wear their F-50's. If they change out the insoles like they're meant to or if they just play in one. The fit changes with each insole, so I don't see why they'd just wear Predators. Unless they're under contract by Adidas to wear F-50's exclusively.

Some of these guys will wear a specific insole from the f 50 selection and others will just have a normal or custom fitted one for support in areas they need.

Adidas wants specific players in specific boots for their advertising value. The players really could care less about the look of the boot most time because it is made for their foot so no matter what the shell of the shoe looks like they are getting the same fit everytime.

I also made the guy an offer for the Trez f-50, i told him I doubt they will go for the price he has them at but i would give him $250 US for them.

I also like the AZT 3 without a midsole cushion system and with a tounge. They are going for cheap I amy stick a bid in for them as well.

I am a 10 in the f 50 so I am hoping he will give me the Trez ones for my offer price, if he and I have a similar foot type since they MTM(made to measure) I will play in them for a few matches.

he was running with the ball and the guy just nudged his leg and it snapped... I've never seen anything like it happen before. It seemed like such a soft knock yet it broke his leg immediately. It wasn't even a foul.

Perhaps customisation reasons, or advertising reasons so that the swoosh is more visible.

Also the red pard seems plastic, not leather, which probably is more visible than leather.

They sure are a nice pair of boots. Game worn or not i would buy em anyway.

They look just like stock Legends. Aside from the logos and the name printed on the tounge.

The AZT 3's have the true tounge which many pro's have added and the outsole doesnt have the cushion system which almost every European pro has for some reason.

The Ronaldinho Legends are made to his foot shape, they are trimed down a bit in terms of weight (as most pros shoes are since the material is slightly better and I am sure they are made in Italy, see German made Copa's for an example of a higher quality pro level shoe). The badging on the shoe is a reflective fiber that will show up on t.v. better and also the tick is red on the stock legends so the white also makes it more visable. Diadora does this with the logo on their pro level boots as well and the Nike Teimpo Permier pro edition had a much bigger tick than the stock model and it was just stiched on to the boot not intigrated with the leather.

Cisse broke his leg due to a displacement of weight and the position his body was in when he took the impact. His studs held his weight and hsi body toppled forward.

BTW I noticed that all of Trez's and Cisse's f-50's ddint have the microfiber on getty images, this was in every colorway they wear and I think their f-50+'s are the same way.
