England 10-7 New Zealand at the moment

i was hoping we would come within 15 points so not to get too embarrassed (and so i wouldnt cop it so much when i go to work tomorrow) so while im gutted we couldnt quite pull it off in the end, i would probably have settled for a close 4 point loss before hand cos we were never really gonna win it.
never looked like scoring a try after the first couple of minutes.
i think NZ were just taken off guard by that charge over for our early try. they probably were a bit arrogant in that they never really expected england's forwards to roll them over so may have been a bit shocked by the power they had. after that they got their act together and it never looked like happening again. they had just too much class in the end.

Pretty spirited effort by England, but as invisible says New Zealand just have that magic behind the scrum - what a player Dan Carter is.

It's clear the all blacks missed Richie McCaw though, scary to think he wasn't even in the XV at the start of the campaign, New Zealand really do have the best two sides in the world.

NZ is awesome!

so glad they beat percy wilkinson and his SAF onlookers in the tri nations,

ive never seen a player mark the ball on the half way line, look wide to a 2 man overlap and run 5m and kick a 45m fieldgoal - a disgrace to rugby

Great win for NZ, England played better than it thought they would. I thought we'd roll em over but still a good performance by the ABs, Dan Carter was the difference today.

Did you see Percy against Wales yesterday? It was one of the worst displays of kicking i've seen at international level.

I didn't see that game, but I can just imagine the performance. Percy is prone to having some really shocking games where he seems to do nothing right. The mental image I always have of Percy is where he slices a kick off the side of his boot laugh.gif . I thought he'd improved his game following his move to play in the UK, but apparently not. Still the same old Percy. The pretty boy of international rugby.

On the match the other day, I'm really proud of Tana Umaga and his All Black side. We were grimly hanging on there at the end. The match was ruined for me when the ref decided to pull out his yellow cards. It seemed all of a sudden, and without warning. Well done to England though for putting up a real fight. That World Cup will be tough to pull from their grasp come 2007. I still believe that NZ should have won by 15-20 with that team. Prior to the sin-binnings the All Blacks looked to have some real momentum building. The NZ scrum was solid on its own ball and threatened England at times. Our backs were a tad disappointing though. We made more unforced handling errors than we normally do. Also I reckon it was crazy not starting Joe Rokocoko. He's such a dangerous runner. But, I can't complain really. Happy to scrape home with the win in the end from a really tough test match.

I call him Percy 'Wilkinson' because he's the wilkinson in their tactic, known as the forwards guard the kicker tactic,

the same one used as the English to win the WC slang known as the Wilkinson tactic

percy is SAF's wilkinson

i dont recall england taking drop kicks from 45m to be honest. remember them winning the world cup though.

'LOL yeah, thats the way the games going, bulked up forward pack, mobile backs and a tromendous fly half

rather than the rolling rugby of english old

Percy just took it rediculously too far, and the english showed they can win with out a prodigal fly half

do you remember that? in the tri nations agains Aus? it was a kick out by latham from the goal line, to the half way line, just runs in and dropgoals from 45 out, such dirty springbok buffoonery, glad the kiwis won the tri nations, they deserved it
invisibleman18
nah i dont remember that particular incident but im sure i watched the game. guess it just didnt stick out in my mind as being unbelievably outrageous.
