Anyone heard of Livestrong? It's Lance Armstrong's cancer foundation i think. Alot of soccer players are wearing them, which is good to see.
Here's a pic of Rio Ferdinand wearing one, sporting a funky new haircut:

I think they maybe out because they are so popular. I tried niketown.com too and i couldn't find them. Last time I went to a store to get some they were out too. So i guess u might just wanna buy the ten pack from laf.org (it is for a good cause and u can give them to friends to let them wear some).

These are the next thing to come out. They support the Kick It Out foundation - for kicking racism out of football and will be worn by - probably - footballers. Nike will make them and they will be black and white - i supose symbolises blacks and whites together - ALTHOUGH there are other skin colours apart from those two competing in the game.
They are being worn by Henry (i think i saw Rio wearing one during the game against Villa.)
The campaign across Europe is expected to recieve funds from the sale of the Nike wristbands.
Nike are "consulting" organisations like K.I.O to see how the campaign should be run.
((THE BANDS are nto yet out and a release date has not been announced))

I think the wristband thing is a great idea. It's a good subtle statement. But theres just too many wristband wearers out there. I even see kids wearing them. I see people who wear them and dont even play football or basketball (or even watch them, e.g. toddlers). Thats annoying.

It's either your a baller or not.
My two cents. Happy New Year everyone!

Wot u talkin about ya twat, u tryin 2 say u gotta play a sport in order 2 wear the bands ? The Livestrong bands are raising money for cancer sufferers !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Think its a worthy cause and shouldnt be dictated by whether or not you are a "baller" or not

LOL! Take it easy. What I ment was the other baller band colors. I know about the Livestrong. Thats why I said that the idea to the other b'w band is a great idea. Ergo same with the yellow. But whats with the other colors that Nike makes or the other manufacturers. Read 1st before complaining. Happy NY!

What I was getting at is the fact that u calimed kids wearing them was somehow "annoying" and that you were either a "baller" or not. Lets clear this up there are separate bands designed for basketball, with "player" etc written on them but the bands for beat bullying, anti racism or breast cancer as well as Livestrong are set up to increase awareness on these issues and hopefully raise funds for the campaigns. Therefore (Ergo if u want)if its for a worthy cause it shouldnt be deemed "anoying" if kids/non "ballers" wear them.
Ergo, concordantly, vizzavi !!
Have a good one

i emalied bbc one a few days ago about the bullying bands, here was the reply i got today.
Hello,
Thanks for your email. I'm sorry to hear you haven't received your
wristband yet. Due to the huge amount of requests we've received and the
Christmas period, it's taking longer than expected.
We're dealing with the orders and sending out wristbands as quickly as
we can. If you placed an order before 31st December, you will receive
your wristband.
Thanks for being patient. We really appreciate you getting behind the
Beat Bullying campaign.
Best wishes,
The One Life team
