Now the time arrives to discuss about ( for me the biggest match since the semifinal against leverkusen 4 years ago) villareal match. If we don't win it, probably we will not qualify and it wiill be the final nail in fergie's coffin because we will not qualify. But seeing united's performance against charlton, I think we will win it ( if we keep a man marking job on riquelme... smith could do it since riquelme hasn't got too much pace and no diego forlan like guus hiddink did on KAKA a few weeks ago) .

I just have a feeling we will win it and benfica will beat lille and then all we need to top the group will be a draw for the final group game no matter the other results because the table will be

MADRID, Nov 20 (Reuters) - Villarreal's Argentine playmaker Juan Roman Riquelme will miss the Champions League Group D clash against Manchester United on Tuesday, after collecting a thigh strain in training.

Riquelme joins strikers Diego Forlan and Antonio Guayre, and central defender Quique Alvarez, on the list of injured players not included for the trip to Old Trafford.

Villarreal top Group D with six points from four games and can qualify for the last 16 if they win. United are third with five points.

Man Utd will keep a clean sheet with Villareal's Riquelme and Forlan out. I really see 3 points in the bag for the Red Devils in this game, furthermore that they are playing at home and RVN is on form. Come on Red Devils !!

This is a must win game for the red devils! If we lose this or maybe even tie, then there is a good chance we will be out of the CL which will spell disaster for this campaign and possibly for several season to come. Why? because failure to advance in the champions league will seriously reduce the talent pool from which we will be able to select from for our january transfers, which we DESPERATELY need now that keano is gone for good.

However, seeing as this game is coming off the back of a good performance vs charlton and a huge morale booster vs ski, I've got a good feeling. The fact it's at OT helps too. I say we keep the same team that started against charlton, as it seems to me they dominated the play.

Haha, no riquelme again. This one is over already. Its like arsenal without henry. Too much depends on riquelme. Not to say the rest are pushovers but they have no real threat to them without him. Of course if we put in one of our shit performances as we have this season, this is a long way from won but a solif performance will see them off quite easily Id say. I just hope we bury this game quickly and not go on ith a 1-0 lead till the 85th when they equalise. Ive seen enough of those in the past 2 years to last me a life time.

While I agree with what your saying its very important to guard against any complacency, the tie aint won just cos Roman aint on the team sheet. I dont think there's any chance of this complacency creeping into the boys heads, especially after the recent performances.

A massive game, if we can get another win it would be a great confidence booster. Against Charlton they played some great attacking and creative football, probably the best this season, it will be interesting to see whether they can take this in to the Champions League.

If Smith gets another yellow i think he will miss the Benfica game, however he shouldn't hold back, while players need to think if they attempt to play a different game they can easily lose form.

I'd like to see a Ronaldo - Smith - Scholes - Park midfield, but in all honesty I know fletch will start against park. Scholes is finally getting his A game back so I want him in the starting eleven especially since this is nearing a must-win game.I expect the boys to be well up for it as they have recently and would like to see another brilliant captain's display from Ruud .

I really hope the fog doesn't force the match to be postponed as I was robbed of being able to watch the United match on saturday, and I think I might go on a killing spree if it happens again tomorrow.

The game might end up a tie ,a 1-1 or 2-2 result, I can't see this game as being a scoreless game. But since either club can win th game but one might get the slight goal and get the 3 points. And another thing, the game is being played at Old Trafford so Man Utd have home advantage because of the fans cheering them on etc. Man Utd might win this one.

Man Utd can be eliminated for first time in 10 years if they don't win this game. ManUtd is third in their group, 5 points from 4 matches, a point less than Villarreal, who is the leader. If ManUtd loses and Lille wins Benfica, we can say Adios ManUtd!

I agree Park should get a chance but I dont think Fletch will get dropped for him, because he is been playing better the last two games for united, getting the winner against chelsea and setting up the opener against charlton, not only that he has been playin much better throughout the game and getting forward more than he did when he was in the center.

Great start by us, Rooney playing amazing already, Nistelrooy and ronaldo all looking sharp also.

Seven minutes into the first half, good start by United. Nistelrooy was put through bu just didn't have the pace and it was collected. Rooney's having a fantastic game, playing nice little one twos and such. Theres my little bit.
