Gosh, I can't give an answer to that because I dont have a pair of Legends myself! (I did have them for one game but disliked them sooooooo much that I sold them the next day~) But if memory serves the Legends were normal-slightly wide fit so I think the Abs are pretty much the same, if not slightly narrower.

The Abs are much like the Pulse, except for the wider toebox. It fits very similarly to the Tottis.

so, are they narrower then the Pulses?

No they fit the same I would say... the toebox is slightly wider.

what do you use to personalize your boots?

Oil based permanent marker. Fine point one.

I've got mine and played for 2 hours in them.

They fit similarly to the Pulse. Length is the same. The Abs are slightly wider at the toebox. Its got a flatter profile and I think this helps with shooting and passing (at least for me it helps!)

The leather is just as usual, very nice. I think it's thinner than the Pulse's. They've changed the laces (to a shorter length, as with the Dragon Pulses) but I don't like the new ones either as they keep on getting undone.

I've not tried the light insoles. Just used the powerpulse ones.

Craftsmanship is good, better than the Pulse (no 'mis-glue' along the soleplate).

I've returned 4 pairs of Pulse over a year and a half, and I can't say how well I see the Abs holding up. So far, so good I suppose.

And oh yeah, the black ones are way cooler than the white ones!

the predator strips appear kinda flat in the pictures. do they come up enough to make contact like the strips on the pulses?

It is actually raised above the leather, prob just as much as the Pulse's. Not that I think they do anything anyways!

For completeness' sake, just what I've put down in BS just now:

My overall comments will be that the Absolute is by no means an entirely new boot by Adidas. It retains a lot of features and similarities to the Pulse, especially the boot shape. The only thing that has changed noticibly is the toebox width and the leather thickness (thinner in Abs).

It is good that Adidas has attempted to change a lot of the bad things in the Pulse, eg. thicker but narrower elastic straps, shorter laces, etc.

Durability is still a big "?". In the boot care sheet which comes with the boot, it says that 'it is normal for a small gap to develop between the leather and the shank'. I am not entirely certain what this refers to, but it sounds like it is talking about the leather coming off the soles. If this is the case, I feel it will be more difficult for folks to return boots to Adidas in the future if the leather comes off the soleplate, and Adidas is very cunning in inserting this 'disclaimer'. This was a big big problem for the Pulse. I just hope that somehow Adidas has fixed this problem.



I've not tried playing in the light insoles. I've swapped the insoles around at home for one boot and the other with Powerpulse and I thought they felt pretty much the same. I don't know whether there's any difference in shooting/passing/etc...

Hmmmmmm I've been a Predator guy for a long time and I'd just get a new version when it comes out. But as I said there's not much difference really between the Abs and the Pulse so it's up to the individual to decide. I still believe it's still got the best fit amongst all boots.

I've not got stud pressure with these. Never had that with Preds.

For me it's the white lines on the outside of the boots that makes them ugly. Seeing them in non-proffesional photos have made me dislike them even more. Ah well, just means pulses are much cheaper . 2 pairs already on their way.

Do the vamps on the absolutes grip better then the vamps on the pulses?

I think they do grip a bit more, because essentially you have 3 big vamps that make up the adidas stripes, and each big vamp is actually 3 smaller vamps in close proximity.

The vamps extend more into the medial side too.

how long vdoes the marker stay on? i saw u did it with ur rred pulsion. does it wear away quickly? and would it wipe off a synthetic?

It was a pair of red Pulses, not Pulsion.

No the pen has oil based ink so it doesnt wash or wear away.

have u played with the powerpulse removed yet? if so how do they compare?

No I hafnt played with the light insole. I have tried it on and it feels no different to wearing the powerpulse insole.

No I haven't worn the light insoles in match but have tried them on. To be honest I don't really feel a difference between them.

I think the leather is brilliant, better than the Pulse. They also seem to be more durable too. The leather gives u more feel of the ball.
