As the game approaching both teams face a handful of problems. AC Milan and Fenerbahce are missing key players. It seems that both teams need to work hard to maintain their defensive composure.
Fenerbahce is missing Fabio Luciano (CB) and holding midfielder Marco Aurelio due to suspension. AC Milan will be missing Stam to suspension, Cafu and Ambrossini (?) to injuries.
Beside the suspensions Fenerbahce's attacking midfielder Alex De Souza and the striker Nicolas Anelka picking up some minor injuries are questinable for the game, although are expected to appear on the pitch.
On the other hand AC Milan have problems with a few out-of-form players; namely Dida, Nesta, Pirlo, Kaladze and Sheva, are all critisized with their late form.
On a happy note for AC Milan Gilardino seems to be picking up form.
Expected line-ups:
Fenerbahce (4-5-1)
---------------------Volkan
Serkan-------Onder-------Servet---------Umit
-----------------Selcuk--Appiah
--Mehmet------------------------------Tuncay
--------------------------Alex
------------------Anelka
Alternatively: Deniz Baris may play instead of Servet, who returned from a long suspension, or may appear at midfield instead of Mehmet to change the formation to 4-4-2 (three holding midfielders and two forwards in Anelka and Tuncay).
AC Milan (4-4-2)
----------------Dida
Smic-----Nesta---Maldini-----Kaladze
-----------Gattuso--Pirlo
------Kaka---------------Seedorf
-----------Sheva-Gilardino
Alternatively; Jankulovski, Costacurta, Marzoratti, Ambrossini (if he is fully recovered) may find themselves in the defensive line up.
Serginho may substitute Gattuso or Pirlo in the midfield.
Coaches: Both coaches received some criticisms about their teams performances in the Champions League. Both coaches know that a defeat may end their appearence in UEFA competitions and calculating to a 4 point total at the last two games. Rest assured they will try to collect maximum points from the game, although if the game looks like it can go both ways-considering the criticisms- may decide to share the spoils at the dying minutes.
To wrap it up. Both teams seem to have enough attacking ability to pull a win. What determines the end score will be how their out-of-match-fit players will perform. AC Milan seems to have a upper-hand at this point, since they have a center duo, who played together more often than Fenerbahce pair have. Moreover, Ac Milan admittedly have more gun power than their opponents, which increases their chances. However, a spark in the form of any player on the field wearing any colors may change the direction the points go (see the first leg and Kaka), since both teams have a few exceptional players.
Prediction: Fenerbahce:1 Milan:2

AC Milan simply have too much quality compared to the Turks. Furthermore, they would wanna bounce back from their weekend defeat and silence critics. Comfortable 2-0 win for AC Milan.

This will be hard but Milan MUST win. I'd prefer to see Serginho instead of Kaladze. He gives Milan some wing play which they will be seriously lacking without Cafu. This opens up the middle a bit and gives Kaka' and co. more space to work with.

Sheva could have easily had 7 or 8 goals, which would have probably been enough for him to secure the top scorer award. He played great, but it had to come down to Seedorf's performance, which was nothing short of spectacular. Milan is joining the hunt for the trophy, the more teams that can challenge Barcelona, the better.

This was a prime example of total domination. Milan could've won, in all seriousness, with 10-0, and Sheva could've had, realistically, like 7 goals.
Today's game was even worse than Barca-Panatinaikos.

Totally agree abt the Sheva part as he had another 3-4 clear chances. Cant say much abt Seedorfs performance as I didnt see the game.
But what can you say abt the defending????????????? last 2 goals of Shevchenko there was no defender anywhere near Shevchenko ?????
Really really poor defending against the best striker in the world. Lucky he missed some and got only 4.

Agree with everything there. Sheva had a clear header that was just stopped and 2 clear 1 on 1s with the keeper where the keeper did great to stop him. He could have realistically had 7 goals today.
But man.. Seedorf. Dont get many of these out of this guy. Gotta relish in this glory while it lasts, because my guess is on the weekend against Lecce we'll see the possession-losing, slow, poor decicion making Seedorf back in full force. But full credit for this game. Unstoppable in the midfield, controlled the midfield.
