Yeah, Bryce Gibbs definitely.
Is anyone else fed up with the the fuckin easy draw that Collingwood get every. single. year. It fucking enfuriates me. Richond apparently got a rough draw but I don't think it's so bad. The draw seems fair to me, apart from fucking Collingwood.

Gibbs will go number one unfortunately. Carlton would be moronic not to take him - he's just that good. I really wanted him at Essendon though, he'd be absolutely perfect for our midfield as he is being touted as a ready-made player.
Essendon have a got a fairly rough draw for next season. Then again, we had the easiest in the competition last season IMO and we still did jack all. Collingwood get the easy draw because they have a certain Mr E McGuire pulling strings for them at the AFL.
Hoping for the best from us next season though, not expecting much except to give Hird a good send-off. Champion.

Agreedm this is what happens when you put fully professional athletes against amateurs without proper adjustment of the rules. In a straight fight we all know who will win, the Pros, this was meant to be a compromise to create a friendly tournament between the 2 nations, instead it has become a fucking joke where the only compromise i can see given is the shape of the ball.
I am not having a go at the Aussies for this, its the Organisations fault for allowing the brutality go on. I refuse to watch this as its a fucking disgrace of a game where its nothing but intimidation and bullyng, again, i am not having a go at the Aussie players, they are just using the rules to their advantage. They dont get punished and they are allowed to do what they want to who they want and no rules are their to stop them.
An absolute joke and i hope to fuck they cancel the thing or give proper consideration to the rules they invoke. Good bye and good luck to this retarded event which is only used for money spinning purposes.
Nothing but bad blood has come of this event

I didnt see it. and i can hardly blame them for trying to stand up to the Aussies after the shit that went down last year where lets face it, the Aussies were the instigators of everything that i saw happen.
Now if the Irish lads started shit, fair enough, but shouldnt there be like frees given and stuff. I know aussie Rules and GAA allow a fair bit of shit go, but as far as im concerned, unless the sport is Boxing, or Martial Arts or Mixed Martial Arts, than fighting should be punished. It has no place on a field sport regardless of what anyone says. especially when you are talking about any sport that is meant to be a friendly tournament and its meant to be a compromise between Pros and amateurs. And anyway, as i said earlier, my problem isnt with the Ozzie rules players, its with the actual so called "Compromised Rules."
Frankly i think the best thing that could be done is the trophy melted down and turned into studs on some gimps mask and the rule book recycled and used as toilet paper!!!

Mal Michael to join Bombers
Essendon Football Club today confirmed it had reached agreement on a two-year deal with former Brisbane player Mal Michael and that it would be taking him with its first selection (second overall) in the pre-season draft.
The 29-year-old, three-time Premiership player will commence training with Essendon in mid-December. Michael has played 201 games for Collingwood and Brisbane.
"We believe he has a lot of football still left in him and his move back to Melbourne has caused him to re-think his retirement. We think he can be a very important player for us for at least the next couple of years," Essendon coach Kevin Sheedy said.
"He will provide us with some real strength and experience in defence while we continue to develop some of our younger players for key defensive roles. Physically he is in very good condition and the time away has freshened him up mentally."
http://essendonfc.com.au/news/news.asp?nid=4945Hurray! Just what we needed, another top key defender to help us out down back. With the drafting of Gumbleton tomorrow

, we should be fucking set for next season and perhaps a tilt at the top 8

I am suprised by the amount of optimism Essendon supporters find each year. 6 weeks ago Michael didnt even want to play any more and now he is your saviour, like Camporeale was last year. What a flop he was. Why does Sheedy always go for people over the hill and all the supporters hype it up like its the best thing ever. Brisbane are pissed because Michael was contracted until the end of 2007 but then he retired and now suddenly decides to change his mind. Brisbane should get some compensation. However Essendon did do well in the draft this year and picked up a few good picks, but it wont be enough for a push next year.
I was quite happy with the Cats draftees, Hawkins at No 41 was awesome so we basically had 2 top 10, even top 5 picks with Selwood. Someone high up at Geelong even said before the draft if Selwood came to Geelong he could be captain in 3 years! Im not too sure about that but he does look like a very good player and looking forward to seeing what he can do. Also pleasing to see 4 Tassie players go in the draft, 3 in the top 20.
George Foreman.
