Hopefully. IMO we can at least three more matches for the rest of the season, against Hawthorn, Kangaroos and Carlton. Hopefully.
Mate, no offence, but I love to see Essendon fans suffering. It is such a rarety because of their recent dominace. I can definately see you beating the roos and hawthorn, carlton might get over you though on current form. Although I have to say my team, the mighty Cats, aren't faring too well atm, hoping last weeks win against your mob can turn the tide for us, but we have a MASSIVE challenge in the next too weeks, freo and adelaide in perth and adelaide, hard, but winnible

if, and only IF we play our best footy for the full match, not half like that terrible game against the eagles.

I just stumbled upon this tread, and yeah. I can't believe how we've lost 14 in a row. It's getting ridiculous. I though we had a good chance against the Kanga's but last week was set for an upset. AFL is probably the best made sports game in the world, to play and to watch. Fast, rough, skillful and magical. Football (soccer) is great, love the sport but doesn't come close to AFL. Soccer only wins fans because everyone in europe and south america are obsest with it but sorry to disapoint AFL gets more ticks then soccer.

Goodbye Dean Rioli. Fantanstic character, but I'm not too sad that he didn't go out with a win (up the tigers!). It would have been nice to see him drill that torpedo in the last quarter but he did the unselfish thing. Pretty good game tonight, actually, all 3 games I've watched this weekend have been good, attacking game and great the watch, in particular the Geelong v Melbourne game. I can't believe how close Geelong were, 1 second at the most. Still, they weren't really a chance for the finals anway.
Back to tonight though, Richardson was absolutely immense, 9 goals 5 and something like 18 marks. Apart from that, no one else was a real stand out for Richmond, except for Kayne Pettifer who has been fantastic all season. Again, just like to say a huge thanks to Rioli, it's a shame his career had to be riddled with injuries and weight problems because when he was on song he was an amazing player. Still, he was a pleasure to watch.
Oh, and Jade Rawlings played his last game is his home state of Tasmania today and against his old club Hawthorn, a fitting end to his career. Shame the Kangas couldn't get over the line for him

Poor old Rioli, he just never had the right body for AFL football. He's been one of the great servants of Essendon over the years and has provided us with glimpses (when he's fit) of the brilliance we know he's been capable of. Looking forward to getting his kids under the father-son rule though

Yeah Richmond were fairly good last night (well much better than Essendon were) but Richardson was the difference. If he could keep playing like that (which he can't - he's too inconsistent) - Richmond would be a top side. Depending on how yur draft and trading pans out (picking up a key defender is a must) they could be a force to be reckoned with again - meaning they'll finish 9th

Hahaha, don't make me laugh. He was a very talented player. He had knee problems all this year and that's why he didn't get into the North Melbourne side. I agree, he shouldn't have gone before Nick Stevens in the pre-season draft but Footscray needed a key position player, not another midfielder.

He was.....decent at Hawthorn, but still overrated. At the Bulldogs he was shithouse, and get this - he was traded to the Kangas (haven for Hawthorn tradees by the way) along with draft pick 40-something......for draft pick 47 or 48 - a higher pick (higher as in later in the draft

)
Though you do have to wonder as to what he would've become had he stayed at Hawthorn. Had potential, never quite fulfilled it.

The Tassie Hawks? Are you fucking kidding me. This is the biggest load of shit I've heard for a long, long time. Our stupid fat fucker for a premier is even more incompetant than I thought. This is a fucking glorified sponsorship and who's paying for it? The fucking Tasmanian people. 15 million dollars? That's not coming from the Tourism budget? Yeah right and if it's not then it's coming from somewhere else that need the money more than "we" (when I say we, I mean the Launceston residents than Labour is trying to buy votes from) need a football team. Fuck you Paul Lennon, fuck you.

Finals time!
It's one of the most open finals serious in recent memory too. I personally think anyone apart from Collingwood and Melbourne can win. I'm rooting for the Bulldogs and Freo. Here are my predictions for the first week of the finals
West Coast v Sydney - West Coast will be too strong at Subiaco
Adelaide v Fremantle - I'd love to tip Freo, I really would, but I can't go past Adelaide even though they're in shite form
Collingwood v Western Bulldogs - The Bulldogs will knock out Collingwood early. I never really rated Collingwood really and the only reason they finished so high was because of their fucking fixtures which are an insult to any non-Collingwood fan
St. Kilda v Melbourne - I can see St. Kilda winning this one in an absolute blow-out (and I hope so too). I can't stand Melbourne.

I go for Hawthorn and we had a strong finish to the season notching up 4 wins in a row. Ye Everitt looks set to lave but im not all worried because Robert Campbell was outstanding in the ruck for us. lol i hope Hawthorn dont move to Tasmania. I like them in Melbourne better.

Woo! My favourite time of the year

.....if only my team we're in it
Anyway, I'm on Melbourne and Sydney for this one. I supported Sydney in the Grand Final last year because I can't stand West Coast (in general, I don't like interstate teams - another story), and they were the "more Victorian" option. That said, I think West Coast will win this season. Had you asked me a couple of weeks ago, I would've said Adelaide. But they've got injuries and all that and without Ricciuto they look a bit flat. Freo are the bolters, but I wouldn't back them - I feel they are far too inexperienced in finals which is a whole different ball game. And the Melbourne sides won't stand a chance unfortunately - the two that go through to week two won't go any further, and if they happen to, they won't beat Adelaide/West Coast/Sydney/Freo at home.
Anyway, my tips -
Melbourne to beat St Kilda
Adelaide to beat Freo
Collingwood to beat the Bulldogs
West Coast to beat Sydney
