Soccer without lace
Posted on 11-19-2005 by Nicolas translated by Willy
Jérôme Rothen showed this week to the media a new soccer shoe with which he's been training for 7 months. This shoe is signed Lotto and adopts an innovative closure concept. No more central lacing, double lacing or lateral lacing, their is simply no more lace. To proceed, Lotto as a brand's been working for more than 3 years and invested in 1,5 millions of Euros in its development. It's little name : Lotto Zhero Gravity. it will be launched on april 2006 for 190 Euro close to targeted sellers.
From the same article on another site with more info and an online translator:
QUOTE
A small bomb in the world of the shoes of football. This afternoon, Jerome Rothen (Paris SG, Equip with France) presented the shoe to us with which it has been
involved secretly for 7 months: the model Lotto Zhero Gravity. No lace, 210 grams, stem in microfibre equipped with technology profit to guarantee a
perfect envelopment of the foot and to allow a more important
sensitivity in the touch of ball. "When Lotto presented it to me in June 2004 pennies its form made up I
immediately thought that I will be able to never play with this model. Today, I impatiently await the green light of Italian to carry it in match. The feeling is single and the touch of ball is more precise than with
lacing on the side or double lacing ". It will have to await the beginning of next year and the official
launching of Lotto Zhero Gravity. Ten other players took part in the same tests of which Chevtchenko
(balloon of gold 2004) and Cafu (Brazil). The first research on the model started three years ago and cost more
than 1,5 million euros under development. The 100 shops selected in France to sell the zhero gravity will be
delivered in April 06. Price of technology: 190 €

Remind me of my track spikes

lol.

I was talking to my friend, how good would it be if they released a track spike like myne with studs. Looks heaps light and I like these much more than the absolutes and vapor 3's.
Do you think they'll come out in SG studs??
Edit: Sorry just looked at the second last pic in the inital post and the studs look like they're a mixsole. They look like a few of them screw in eh.

much $
it says in the first post. 190 euros.. which = about 350 USD
and judging from
http://www.soccerpulse.com/forum/index.php...e=post&id=12573, it seems that you can remove 4 studs (2 show in the pic) and make them SG... pretty nifty!!!

I think the laceless concept will work.
Adidas had some 'martial arts' (I cannot remember which martial art it was designed for, maybe it was judo) trainers released a couple of years back... I thought at the time it would make a great indoor shoe. It had such a large contact surface!

Do you think that just by changing 4 studs it would actually make a difference if you were trying to make it soft ground??
KAKAisGOD
Dec 1 2005, 08:46 PM
pretty sweet boots. can't wait to see other colorways (not a big fan of white-gold myself).
assassin_henry, of course changing the studs will make a difference.
My concerns for this shoe would be the material for the vamp and the raised heel. It doesn't look too soft and I wonder if the heel part wil cause chafing.

for a solution to how you tie them, does anyone else think they might takem a mold of your foot, and the upper could be stretchy...
or...they could be like an F50 fold down tongue w/ laces underneath
penf.pat.15
Dec 1 2005, 09:47 PM
^^ doubt it.. it says laceless, so i guess that would imply no laces.. lol
and by removing the four removeable studs, there would be 4 studs in the front and 2 in the back... sound like a normal SG configuration?

ok guys time for my say. going back a few pages in the thread, i saw those track spikes. ya they are ugly, but NO they are not lacless. they are nize zoom celars 2, great for sprinting 100 meters, but the laces are underneath, kida like an f50 i guess. but there ARE laces. next topic. since these new lottos say laceless, im guessing they are. but belive me theyll fit ur foot fine. i can like garuantee that if u get them, u won't have to worry about ur boots coming off. tehy'll fit fine, it looks like they'll only be made for narrow feet that would fit into a vapor, but knowing lottos, they'll prob be comfortable for a bunch of foot types. as for the colors. nike WAS the first with white and gold, before all the rest. people REALLY copied nike, but thats ok, i guess the "IN" color for the next couple of seasons will be gold.

ya these are nice... exp tho. if they are in fact 190 euro... hope not!

i give a thumbs up to lottos.
