Just like to ask if you guys have experienced similar injuries, and roughly how long were you out for.

Playing today my mate went in for a challenge, he went over the ball, the opponent went past the ball and connected at the back of my mates knee. The paramedics said its either a fractured knee cap or ligament damage. I just wanted to ask how long you'll think he'll be out for(roughly, or from past experience).

Thanks for any responses

I have friends who suffered from both fractured knee cap and ligament damage before. (not the same guy of course) And from previous experiences, they are pretty serious injuries and should be out for at least a month. If the ligament is torn, at least half a year because it takes time for the ligament to grow. I once had a fractured foot (something like the one Ashley Cole is suffering from now) and was out for 3 and a 1/2 months.

cheers mate, i hope that its a break rather than ligament damage as that takes longer to heal, feel so bad for him sad.gif
