Wore my new Vaps today and they our a pretty perfect fit just wondering how long people took to break them in.

So that you were comfortable with all diffrent types of kicks, eg Chips Shots passes ect and your touch while dribbling. smile.gif

If you could say roughly how many hours of playing it took that would be great, thanks thumbsup.gif

Thats wicked im gona do 5 hours of dribbling on my own tommorow then. laugh.gif

any body else cos i suppose it varry boot to boot and person to person, plus it depends how much of the ball you get aswell. smile.gif

P.S would doing loads of kick ups help break in my Vapors i mean so i improve my feal for the ball in them?

Ive never realy had synthetic boots. excluding AZT90s
BanginDrumsAMO 9
yea juggling does help alot....thats what i always do when i get new boots, synthetic or leather.
Now U C ME
these take a while but when u break them in u willl absolutely love em
Silverspeed
Any other suggestions does sleeping in them help? Or is that just a silly myth, but i must say i done it with my Legends.

but does it make a diffrance?
LFC12
it really does help
breaking in boots are a must
no myth

O i know breaking boots in is a must, But i meant dose sleeping with them on actual make a diffrance with helping to break them in?
LFC12
ohh ok sorry
well i dnt think u need to go so far that u sleep with them on cos usually the best way 2 break em in is for u 2 run around in them cos then they get used 2 your feet positioning
plus the boot bending around and stuff is gd
so yeah i hope that helps

had my vaps for months now and they still hurt my heel. my vapor 1's broke in almost instantly but these are taking ages. i'll keep trying though!
Timho
my vaps fit me perfect since the first day i got them! i have two pairs and no problems with them! i like my feet! LOL
Adriano#10
just wear them in the shower and it won't take long to break in.
Silverspeed
Cheers for the feed back, i know about the Hotwater/Shower trick used it on my old Vapors helped a little bit.

Any ways i was doing an hour or so training today and there definatly on there way to being just right, touch is very good when dribbling and im starting to get comfy with chiped passes as i needed to get used to the foot shape and grip before i could start lifting realy high long balls in them.

I seem to be getting alot more acurate tho in general.

Only problem was a slight rubbing on my left heal which was wierd didnt happen yesterday, but i think it may have just been the Ankle Gaurd in the wrong position or the type of sock i had on smile.gif

sarrazin19
yea the shower is deff the way to go
Silverspeed
I dont actualy need to do the shower trick tbh cos its not the comfort thats the probem, it was just getting the touch and technique for passing and shooting excetra.

It seems to be coming along fine know, juggling and dribbling helped and also controlling a ball with the top of ur foot as it drops from a realy high hight helped me alot. smile.gif

Its getting ther should take another hour or two to be sweet as.

How many hours did it take others apart from fubol4u2env's 5hours?
USAALLTHEWAY
my vapor 2's broke in really quick. the shower trick works well.. once dry get a lot of touches in, maybe an hour or 2.. then you'll be all set... o yea... and this is really weird but... the xboots are definitley nicer than the 2nd ones offtopic2.gif
LFC12
whats this shower trick never heard of it but i understand how it would work.
offtopic2.gif

my feet are a bit wide....so is wide feet and vapors a no go or what?.....cos ive heard different things cos ive got pulses and would a change from adidas to nike be too much of a risk or yeah....just want peoples opinons
sorry this is way off topic doh.gif offtopic2.gif

anyway hope ur vapors are going good smile.gif smile.gif thumbsup.gif

Vapors = Narrow feet

Depends really on HOW wide your feet are. If they're wide wide, no go, if they're alittle wider...ouchy in vapors. The only way to be sure is to try them on for size.
hurricane_mbesuma
i have reasonably wide feet and i fit into vapors. if you need a comparision, my feet were too wide for f50's but not too wide for f50+'s or vapors. hope that helps
LFC12
thanks guys for the feed back thumbsup.gif clapping.gif
yeah i just checked my feet on a chart thing for Asics and it said i have a high arch and its called some weird name.....
yeah just wanted to know cos i really like vapors eyepopping.gif

cool and what size are you mate cos i was wondering if vapors really do snap when in high sizes
can some1 plz say if this is myth or has really happen to alot of people in size 11-12s
ejteK
Well someone used this analogy, and sorry i can't remember who it was that said this but it made alot of sense!

How easy is it to break a big stick in half? Easy
How easy is it to break a smaller stick? Not as easy

Big stick (bigger size vapors).
Small stick (smaller size vapors).

It makes sense to me, but im sure if you dont go treating them like absolute shit they'll be fine...for a while laugh.gif.
Xu0N
has anyone tried using them without the sole?? i tried them on like that today and they felt like they had more space, but they had more pressure on the blades

Im a size 9 in Nike so i doubt i would have the snapping problem, i dont realy know much about it i know size 10s our fine but non of my mates have vapors any bigger than that soz i dont knw.

AND: I played in my vapors for the first time in a match they were sweet, shame i only came on 10mins from the end dry.gif Cos by the time i got into the pace of the game the whistle went and damn i have bad luck i checked my run because i thought the ball was going to be cut back but it went strait across the goal as the other forward missed it and i just couldnt get to it to tap it in thumbsdownsmileyanim.gif

O well these vapors our sweet now cant wait to score in them smile.gif
