i noticed that the mercurial vapors have been around for a while, and i was wondering how much longer they will be around for! theyve been around since last world cup, and i wish i bought a pair then, cos they look so cool, are super light, and more importantly all the super stars wear them.

will nike still keep the vapors up until the world cup? if not, what boots will replace the vapors?

yes they will be at the world cup..and to replace the vapor 2 they are making the vapor 3..pics are in the nike thread i believe

if were talking about long term, i think it will evolve from the original trying to get better and better each year just like the predator.

im going to buy a pair of talarias

they already stopped making vapor 2 but theresd a bunch left which is hard to belive but im betteing those t904 and vap 3 are coming march

i also found that the talarias are significantly cheaper than the vapors, but they weigh and look pretty much the same.

what are the differences b/w the vapors and talarias that make their prices so different?

first vapors are nikeskin which adapts faster and better. talarias arent. also vapors have s tronger hell counter. Plus i think theres somethin with the soleplate that makes em different

What kind of material is used on the talarias?

I think the vapors will get less and less popular as there are these boots coming out that are a tiny bit heavier then vapors but have much more to offer.

Hopefully they will become a continuing line of boots like the Predators and AZT's

i dont really see much, aside from the color of the studs and the price. the weight are both the same.

im not paying an extra $50 just to get red studs or this nikeskin thing, which i bet is just a marketing scam.

Nike vapors have a much thinner upper, nikeskin, Talaria don't. Weight is basically the same, and from what i've heard from my friend who owns a pair of talarias, they hold up fairly well. I can't really see a difference to be honest, but then again, i would never buy Pulsions over Pulses etc.

word of warning about the talarias though- my soleplate actually fell off the upperskin and i could no longer wear them. Don't know if it was a one off but i was annoyed

nah, they weren't fake, i got them from sports world. I dunno, maybe it was a one-off.
