It's great to see Rangers make the second round for the first time. Nicely taken goal from Lovenkrands. What a contrast between their CL and domestic form blink.gif .

Get in there gers!

Wouldn't mind playing you in the last 16 now, love the battle of Britain games smile.gif

If only he would play like that more than once every 10 games. We all know he can be brilliant, he just never uses his pace and finishing enough. In saying that, he is definitly a better striker than winger, which is where he is usually played.

Good on him tonight though.
GoonerMarc
Yep Lovenkrands really is a mystery, he can be a match winner in big games like this and against Celtic in the past and then not show up for the next few (dozen).

What a difference Thomas Buffel makes to Rangers attacking wise though, completely different side with him back in there linking the front and midfield.

God i hope we get Rangers, i'd love it if Arsenal came back up to Glasgow again.
Macca
I don't care who we get, chances are we are out next round anyway. Just reaching it is a MASSIVE acheivement for us.

Perhaps, with a new manager and some sort of investment, we can start thinking about somehow getting a result next round, but right now, we are only going to get humped of any team we are up against.

Buffel was magic tonight Marc, but I thought wee Burkey was Man Of The Match. Worked his socks off and showed why we love him over here.

GoonerMarc
Yeah Burke and Malcom played great, but Buffel just had that touch of class to create the much needed goal for Lovenkrands and cause dangerous moments in the Inter defence.
Burke played his heart out i agree, but i can only really remember him really testing the Inter leftback once.

Rangers are a joke, they think a draw at home against a reserve side is a good result, anyway cant wait to see who they get. Whoever it is they will walk all over Rangers home and away if Falkirk and Inverness can then i think Barcelona or AC Milan could do it as well

Oops. Now you just look silly.

Rangers havent lost to Artmedia.

Celtic, now Celtic on the other hand lost to them 5-0 in the qualifying round, which is why they arent in the Champions League.

Jesus, some people have no fucking idea what they are talking about. fish.gif

Did you join just to say that? Seriously?

Get a grip, when "ra sellik" beat Juventus reserves at home they were paraded to the heavens, they also fucked their Champions League groups, 3 years in a row!

Falkirk and Inverness didn't "walk all over" Rangers, we self-destructed...

Macca, I think we have another one to add to the "Bitter and Twisted" list

HenrikLarsson7
Rangers have fucked the Champions League up 6 times before "Ra Sellik" even got in ya fanny get your facts right. And as for that Juventus team they didnt leave 9 starters at home the only one that never got a game was Trezeguet and if you remember a wee thing called Seville the following season. Rangers have never been a european team and never will be.

Whats the similarity between Rangers and a 3 pinned plug.?

Theyre both useless in Europe

Erm...nice reply, hope you enjoyed that warning!

That joke, did I not hear that after the massacre in Bratislava?

We got outplayed our previous 6 times, Celtic's three they screwed themselves, it wasn't anyone elses fault

You want the Juve team from that night? Only Trezeguet was it? Carini; Birindelli, Ferrara, Iuliano, Paramatti; Zenoni, Maresca (81 Frara), Tacchinardi, Nedved; Amoruso (67 Pessotto), Del Piero (46 Trezeguet)

How many full internationals are in there? Inter Milan had 10, on a count there, there is, oh wait.....3! There goes that argument out the window!

Dont bother replying to this either, because you are ruining a good discussion topic on Rangers Champions League Success
Macca
Captain, we have yet another.

After all, everyone knows a team who won the European Cup before most people on here were born are known as a 'European side'. Especially after getting humiliated 5-0 by a team we hadnt even heard of and not even making it.

But keep up ra support big man.
