Ok, so some of you may have noticed that ive been made a mod of the kitbag forum. Its a big honour and im gonna do my best to help make this forum a better place.
One of the things that annoys me most is the repetative topics that keep coming up. So before posting a new thread please keep these guidelines in mind:
-If you just got new boots and wanna show them off (who doesnt?) post them in the pinned Your Boots thread, dont make a whole new thread just for your own stuff.
-Similarily, if you have info on new boots post in in the pinned thread for that brand. Thats why the pinned threads are there, so people dont have to wade through heaps of threads that relate to the same things.
-There are thousands of "what boots should i buy topics". If you want info on boots there are reviews on most of the popular ones availible in the Database and Online Shops pinned thread. Also, try to remember its your feet and no one on here knows your feet better than you. If you really need personal advice then post a topic, just make sure its absolutly nessecary first.
- Boot vs boot threads will be closed.
Thats all for now but other stuff may be added later.
By the way, remember, this forum is supposed to be fun, as well as informative.
Thanks,
Crofty

yeh, well done. However I think the problem is the people who make these kind of threads are also the people who do not read these pinned threads.

Thanks guys.
Roque, i agree but even if it means theres one less bad thread a day its still worth it.
Also, i know the reviews arent entiery up to date. Thats where we need your help! Anyone with new boots can PM their quality review (using the pre-existing format) to me, rogue or scousy. Remember, this forum is a give and take, so those who contribute get the most out of it.

Its cool, i'll just translate your "poor english" (which is perfectly fine anyways). That is, if you dont mind. You speak/write better than half the natural english speakers on here.

HERE!
I have had it up to with these threads saying "What boots are best for strikers" or whatever. You shouldn't have to live up to your boot! Please make a rule that closes every post like this.

Crofty, what do you think about starting a thread for reviews of indoor shoes? I already posted a request in the reviews database, but I don't think anyone will post anything unless a similar thread is posted strictly for indoor shoes and reviews are encouraged in the same way. Just an idea. If I can't get reviews, I can always just buy the Copa indoors; can't go wrong with the K-leather. Thanks for your time!

You'd be best just to post it in the Reviews Database. I'll get it sorted out and have a separate index in the first post for them.

I would really appreciate it if all of our boot room posters read these rules. These boot vs. boot threads are getting quite annoying. Any variation of these topics WILL be closed. Thanks all.

Just a suggestion, mods: try to stop some ordinary members from unofficially policing threads. We all know who they are and I have no idea why they want to do that when we have mods.
Sometimes these people try to ridicule others when they themselves are blatantly wrong. They should be cautioned for that.

Its ok, but try to be helpful to other members, not patronising, if you want to bitch slap each other then everyone has to face the concequences. Think before you post no matter what the situation.
