yeah, it aint really a secret though, for those of us with a slow brain, the insoles have screw-in spots for the studes. those pics r real good too.

its a lightweight synthetic material similar to nike skin pretty much.

That would be what he means by the "Tunit'secret."
It's the insoles..
The studs go through the holes on the bottom of the boot and screw into the holes in the insole.

exactly!!!! The Tunit combines the middlesole with the insole to 1 insole.

and Tunit comes with 3 kinds of studs in 1 shoe. just change the studs to change the type of them.

Yes it is a brand new idea..I was just thinking, wouldn't this just put a shitload of stud presure on your feet if the screws are right under them??

Ok, im just gonna throw it out there. I think the tunits aren't gonna measure up. Especially with the exchangeable midsole thing, it'll totally ruin your stability. How can a boot that flimsy support your entire weight? And how much will they cost? About US$300 or something? You can get two pairs of reasonably priced boots for that. If the tunits are successful it will only be because of marketing.

A good question ! But the new insole is quite thick, also adidas must has something done to solve this major problem othewise who will wear them ? they are not stupid !

Maybe adidas will add some "adiPRENE" thing between them

the whole screw-studs-into-insole thing seem a bit week, first of all they will leak and secondly thenisoles dont look very strong, i cant see them lasting very long under all that pressure from the studs

Ok ive been looking at the pictures of the tunits with the insoles and the studs and if you look at the studs they've got that plastic bit inbetween the stud and the screw. I'd say that would clip into the bottom of the boot (as it does have the exact shape of the plastic bit) and then you screw the metal tip part and it rotates the screw into the soleplate? That may resolve the leaking issue.

300 us dollars? Adidas is not as dumb as Hummel. Adidas has never gone over 210 dollars. I highly doubt that they will be that high. to compete with Vapors and T903 I geuss in the 175-220. And i also wouldn't believe too much you see in pictures of the shoes this far from the actual release date. They can obviously still make changes, but it doesn't affect me or anyone i know b/c we have to wear firm ground here in the desert.

The basic Tunits are supposed to be around $170. THey will have one upper and just one set of studs for each boot. The 'Premium Pack' will be around $300 and comes with 2 different uppers and all of the stud sets. I'm not sure if there will be different insoles.

Naw, i think the millions of dollars spent on these, they will have GREAT marketing, with all the bugs worked out in the end. We'll see how the public reacts.....

now thinking about it...i could buy a pair of Copas, World Cups, and K Leather Copa Indoor boots for the price of this "premium" package tunit. big from me.

i wonder if you could just buy a set of sg studs for them if you only get the 1st package

I'd wanna get them because of the interchangeable studs, (saves buying two pairs of boots) but I'm not keen on this extra soleplate thingy. As has already been said, I don't think it'll be stable, will likely leak, and the wearer doesn't seem to have too much protection from the studs either.

I'll wait until the official marketing blurb comes out, and will try them on before I buy. No eBay for me!

I am sure that you will be able to get any kind of studs for one pair, seperately or maybe even one pair of sg, fg, or hg for $170. It only makes adidas more money.

The tunits are well nice...they are 100 times better than vapor 2s + 3s!!!

Hey I asked my local store today and they said for the premium pack $350 not $300 and they didint mention a regular shoe like hg fg, or sg soo i dont know about prem pack or regular shoe

they look like they are 90% plastic i don't like that makes them look cheap

I think the material looks like vapors... both look plastic like... I like the tunits better then the new vapors though especially the black and the white
