Their have been rumors circling around that liverpool are getting addidas as their new kit manufactores for a while now, naturally i didnt belive it untill i heard addidas have bought out rebok so then i thought well we can keep our new champions league shirt as reebok because its a class shirt and have all the other kits addidas. I found this picture on koptalk and it looks authentic enough and every shirt ive seen posted on koptalk has turned out to be real what do lot think:

file:///c:/Documents%20and%20Settings/Richard%20Davies/Desktop/New%20Folder/Liv_adi.jpg
its the same as the spain one
file:///c:/Documents%20and%20Settings/Richard%20Davies/Desktop/New%20Folder/ffckz4.jpg
it seems true because its going back to one of our old retro shirts of the late 80's
I hope it is real its class bigsmile.gif bigsmile.gif bigsmile.gif bigsmile.gif
Grime.
i cant see them richard davies... post em again
HeyDingis
It has not yet been decided if the Adidas will keep the Reebok name or if all things Reebok will become Adidas. Regardless, Liverpool's kit will remain Reebok at least until the end of the season. They will not be switching to Adidas mid-season.

beeflfc, can u post the pic online, thanks...cheers.....

^^^ha ha ha ha ha, sarcasm is the key to life....ha ha ha, and it was the same thing i was thinking

why do rumors come about after somebody throws a photo shopped pic out there....does anybody actually know when the reebok contract is up? if so, then we will talk...
charlescissegoh09
this pic was long posted heaps long time ago...thought it was a new design..afterall...what's the b ig deal..quite a nice kit though...but..reality matters..at least it is better than the current REEBOK kits...cheers...
Brian.
The shirt design would not have been done yet so there wont be any pictures floating about of it.
Sky
lol that's class.
In_my_element
Yup, I think adidas will keep the Reebok name going even if it is RBK, because they are such a world renowned brand now that it would be a shame to loose it, and profitless
3stripes
maybe adidas will take over Liverpool like they did with Chelsea only much easyer because of the relationship between the 2 brands. Arsenal, Manchester = Nike <-> Liverpool, Chelsea = adidas... that would be something biggrin.gif
Rafaelite
Actually, Liverpool WILL be switching to addidas.

LFC has negotiated a deal with adidas quite seperate from the adidas/reebok merger issue, so will switch to an adidas kit regardless of what is done with the reebok brand. Not until the start of next season, though.

^ where do you have that info? a link something?

A guy I know sent an e-mail to LFC PR deparment, and they wrote back confirming that adidas will make Liverpool kits as of next season. This deal was apparently finalised even before the adidas/reebok merger was an issue.

Nike also made an offer to be LFC kit supplier, but wanted merchandising rights, like they have at Man United, but LFC wouldn't agree to that.
3stripes
^ hope u're right...that would be a good move by adidas !
beeflfc
Even though the email looks a bit fake nonetheless we will switch to addidas. For years addidas has played 2nd string to nike, theve for years brought out CRAP BORING KITS WHICH ALL LOOK THE SAME!!! however now addidas seems to be getting their acrt together and their new kit designs are great and refresshing. They also are adopting individual designs ie greece shirt and Japan shirt. More importantly though they now want to take on nike so to do this they are starting to take on good teams instead of the usaual crap they sponser Newcastle, ajax. With Chelsea dominating the premiership and Liverpool champions of Europe it would be good for addidas to allign themselves with those 2 teams. Now that arsenal and the SCUM (man u) are fadding away, ull find in the coming years it'll be liverpool and chelsea batling it out for the premiership so addiadas has seen this and can use it just like the battles between aresenal and man u for the title wearing both nike. We will be sponsered by addiadas next year and i am confident that pic i posted is our next kit you just wait and see clapping.gif clapping.gif clapping.gif banana.gif beer.gif

You're talking about Nike, right? I certainly hope so. Adidas kits > Nike kits.
Crofty
wow this is a well informed, quality thread. What did you say about sarcasm? How bout everyone stops making claims until they have some form of proof huh?

by the way, the photoshopped adidas kit looks pretty cool but i hope the pool stay with reebok. it'd be boring if everyone was with nike or adidas.

beeflfc,

the type of jerseys a team wears does not usually bring in fans, the team itself does. Liverpool is crap. Woo hoo they won the champions league but look who they played. they got easy seedings except for the last two rounds. They got lucky that milan missed their pk. They barely even qualified this year. UEFA had to make a special rule for them because they can't even finish top 5 in the epl. Im also pretty sure that liverpool will not be facing chelsea in the final. If some lucky twist of fate happened and they did play chelsea would stomp them. Liverpool have not won a match against chelsea yet this season. Man U has though, and we are 2 games up in the leaderboards. Liverpool also has crouch, the goofiest tallest guy in the epl, Its almost a shame that he is on the England national team. Liverpool might have had their lucky moments but they are certainly not a world class team, and they won't be winning any EPL titles anytime soon. Also, Nike sponsors most of the best teams in the world internationally and in the different leagues.

Barcelona 1st in la liga
Man U 2nd in epl
Celtic 1st in scottish premier
Juventus 1st in serie a
Brazil 1st in world
Netherlands 3rd in world
Mexico 5th in world
US 8th in world

I do like some adidas apparel and shoes but overall nike is a better product, and it shows.

next nistelrooy 7 read this and don't be bitter.

The year is 2007 and little Chelsea supporter Frank is talking to his Blues suppoting Dad. SON "Dad, my mates in school told me that Liverpool won the European Cup for the 5th time in 2005 - are they right dad? DAD "Yes son, it's true, but they were dead lucky son, all the way Through the tournament" SON "Why dad?" DAD "Well in the group stages ....." SON "What dad, did they have a team from Azerbaijan, Israel, and Ireland in their group?"

DAD "Well no, they had Monaco, Deportivo la Coruna, and Olympiakos"

SON "Well they still sound like 3 easy teams to me dad"

DAD "Actually Monaco reached the final the year before, Olympiakos had Won their league 7 times out of the previous 8 seasons, and Deportivo Finished above the galacticos of Real Madrid in their league".

SON "Jeez dad, that sounds like quite a difficult group then".

DAD "yeh I suppose your right son, but they were still lucky - it took A mishit shot by Gerrard against Olympiakos to get through".

SON "oh is that the goal where Andy Gray goes berserk Shouting "you beauty, you beauty, what a hit son, what a hit!!!!"

DAD "yes son it is"

SON "oh ok. Well what happened in the last 16 dad, who did they draw?"

DAD "Bayer Leverkusen"

SON "Bayer who?"

DAD "Exactly son, but they had beaten Real Madrid 3-0 at home, and won their group that included Dinamo Kiev and Roma too."

SON "bloody hell dad, they sound good". DAD "yes, I suppose you're right son" SON "so did they win on away goals or something"

DAD "errrrr, no, they won both legs 3-1 each"

SON "oh - well who next then dad"

DAD "Juventus"

SON "How the heck did they get past them Dad?"

DAD "Well they did - they won 2-1 at home, and cruised to a 0-0 away Draw without Juve having hardly any chances".

SON "were Juve bad at that time - had all their decent players gone Or something?"

DAD "well actually they still had players like Del Piero, Nedved, Ibrahimovic, Thuram, and Buffon in the side. And they won Serie A a Few weeks later."

SON "wow, they beat the Italian champions elect - which easy team Did they get in the semi then?"

DAD "Chelsea"

SON "Chelsea - for God’s sake - what an easy draw - they've won nothing, Everton have won more than them".

DAD "well that season they won the Premiership and League Cup but the Reds didn't let them score in 186 minutes of football"

SON "Jesus Christ - so Liverpool beat the English Champions elect too"

DAD "yes son, they bloody well did".

SON "so after all that I suppose all the good teams had been knocked out"

DAD "not quite son, AC Milan awaited them in the final"

SON "no way - aren't they the 2nd most successful team in the competition's history".

DAD "yes son they are"

SON "so were Liverpool lucky because Milan had all their good players Out with injuries"

DAD "no - they had Shevchenko, Crespo, Maldini, Nesta, Cafu, Kaka, Stam, Dida, Gattuso, Pirlo, and Seedorf".

SON "your 'avin a laff"

DAD "it gets worse son, Milan were cruising 3-0 up at half-time".

SON "what happened, did they have 3 men sent off in the second half - How did Liverpool get back into the game?"

DAD "no, Milan had no men sent off, the Reds scored 3 goals in 6 minutes"

SON "against the best defence in Europe"

DAD "yes!!!, against the best defence in Europe"

SON "so what happened next - extra time?"

DAD "yes son, and Dudek made the luckiest save ever to stop a Shevchenko shot from a yard"

SON "why was it lucky dad - did it hit him on the backside, nose, shoulder Or something"

DAD "no son, his hand"

SON "well aren't goalies meant to save shots with their hands"

DAD "yeah but that's besides the point"

SON "then what"

DAD "penalties!"

SON "English teams are crap at penalties"

DAD "not this time they weren't - they only missed one. And that's how Liverpool became the luckiest team to win the European Cup". SON "but I bet when they brought the cup home there was hardly anyone To watch as all Liverpool fans live anywhere but Liverpool you say. How Many was there, 5,,000 or so?"

DAD "1 million people lined the streets".

SON "so let's get this straight dad - Liverpool had 3 good teams in Their group, they then knocked out a team who had beaten Real Madrid 3-0, they then knocked out the future Serie A champions, then knocked out the future Premiership champions, before coming back from 3-0 down to beat the 2nd most successful club in Europe. And then the whole population of Liverpool came out to welcome them home!!!!

DAD "that about sums it up son"

SON "dad?"

DAD "yes son"

SON "can I have a Liverpool shirt for my birthday next week, and can You stop calling me Frank - I'm Stevie from now on"

Lets get things straight homie. No matter how bad they did in the standings last year, they did win the CL(just happens to be the biggest club tourney in Europe), which means that they did, and will bring in LOTS of money for their sponsor...which then means that any sponsor would love to have them as a commodity. And should I even bring up the fact that Man U IS NOT IN THE CL ANYMORE!!! nor have they won anything in the last couple years. Lets not bring them into this conversation please, because they have no room to stand when comparing them to Liverpool.

It still doesn't make their kits more attractive. Have you ever talked to any Mexico fans and heard their opinions of what Nike did to their kits and colors?!? Or the fact that their boring ass T90 pattern in the most non-creative of its kind out right now.

and what about all the teams that they sponsor who are the worst in their respective leagues? or really bad national teams? What do we have to say for them?

i had a respons from PR-Department" <PR.Department@liverpoolfc.tv

In terms of Kit Sponsor for next season we have no further details at

Oh man, are you kidding? Man U couldnt even beat benfica for fucks sake! laugh.gif They're not exactly on the the way up. Its widely accepted the club is in crisis. shrug03.gif I prefer nike too but its laughable to suggest that nike sponsored teams are better than adidas sponsored teams. Its also laughable to suggest that the fifa rankings reflect the truth or have any credibility at all........... i think even most americans would accept that they aren't the eighth best team in the world. And if they did they'd be kidding themselves. rolleyes.gif

This is the kitbag forum, not the english soccer forum. If you want a pillow fight about who's better/worse/sucks etc than go do it there.

I think i can draw the conclusion that no one really knows whats going on, so until we get some hard facts its closed.
