Personally i would only consider getting a tattoo if it had meaning, something religious or patriotic after all those things never change.

Very interesting about the background of Ibra and Materazzi's tats. Materazzi was the first person I thought of when I saw this thread. I know a lot of Italians and Portuguese players have a number of tats and if I can find them then I'll post them.

I find Quaresma's tattoo really awesome. I think they're fantastic, and very sweet. He has his mother's face on his left leg, a design on his right leg, his mother's name on his right hand, two angels representing his sisters on his left arm, along with their names, his fathers names, and a little line he wrote about friends and enemies. On his right arm, he has the virgin mary holding a crucifix, on his left, he has Jesus with the sacred heart, on his back he has his godparents, and his eyes. That's pretty cool! I love them, I find them really cool, and I love looking at them.
