How is it going to be a "fantastic" game. Both teams are not playing well at all. Real Madrid are doing very poorly in the league and had a very embarassing loss 3-0 to Lyon. Arsenal coming from two straight losses in the league. Crappy match, I wouldnt watch it even if I was payed to.

Really looking foward to tthis game, good battles all over the pitch. Hard to tell who will win, both are not at their best in the league but Arsenal have played better this year in the CL. I'm going to say Arsenal win, but not by much.

I expect both teams to have improved drastically by then, but in anycase i think this game would've been even more of a classic if it took place 2 years ago.

What else would ya expect from a manchester united fan theres just no point of crying over spilt milk m8 anyway My positive predictions for this R.madrid vs Arsenal is 2-1 when we play dem at home and those people at the bernabeau better not even think aboyt being racist to Henry

He's the main man and I think when we play them at home the score will be if its on our good day then 3-0 but if its not we could win by one goal and the agrigate for the first match will be in our favours hopefully....

quite right, although it will be better than united's match in this round.
As for the draw, cant really understand why so many of our fans wanted Real tbh. they are the one team along with bayern who i wanted to avoid. cant see any possible way that we could beat them myself. certainly not in the away leg anyway. i reckon it will be the same as last season against bayern, we will lose the away leg 3-0 or 3-1 leaving too much to do in the home leg. terrible draw, I was hoping for rangers.

People think two good teams with good defense will be entertaining.
But think about it. If the two defenses are poor and the attack is great then it will be a fantastic game for the neutrals.
Would have been better if we played them in our unbeaten season.

We dont suck in europe we just weren't mentally confident the other past champions league seasons but this season were in a Hell of a gud form plus we topped our group and thus we got a chance this season plus the way you guys are playing and the amount of managers that have come and gone well I think you guys will be shaky even though were playing you guys at home fisrt you will still see the GUNNNERRRR spirit when we play you guys ..... Matthierry08
Dec 18 2005, 08:51 AM
nah man! Madrid wont thrash us...
Ronaldo isnt potent enough at the moment that is?!?!
AS long as no key injuries occur i think we can take them on to the death! Bayern are just so physical and in ya face. I compare Bayern to Bolton. Teams that get in your face and dont stuff around. Bayern wont win UCL this year. Id go for Arse or Barca. If Chelsea do then you can say that they deserve to cauz they wont be LUCKY 2nd time round...

but they are 3rd and well in the title race in spain yet we are looking at missing out on european football next season. how is their form as depressing as ours?
on points we are closer to relegation than top of the table.

That is quite misleading. The galacticos ie Zidane, Figo(now left), Ronaldo, Raul are now past their best and hence they are not performing that well.
At their peak they performed well in each tournament.

Way more. When we're talking about current form you can say that Real sucks nearly as just as much as Arsenal. In cases like this, especially in important European matches, the difference is often made by players with individual qualities. Real has many players capable of making the difference: Raul, Zidane, Ronaldo, Carlos and Beckham. Where Arsenal has only one: Henry.

Rauls past it Van Persie will be more effective then him in the tie.
Cole is better then Carlos now.
Zidane is Class.
Ronaldo eats all the pies.
Beckham will be good at set pieces and long balls which we hate.
