They're not rugby studs. Sure, you may be able to use them on rugby boots, but they're football studs.
As for all-metal studs being illegal, please refrain from talking rubbish. In some leagues, they are, particularly in America where the slightest chance of injury can render anything, including headers without wearing a rugby/Cech style hat, illegal. But in the majority of leagues in the UK and elsewhere, they're not illegal. Take a look at soft ground Vapors if you want to see metal SG studs...
And seeing as its annoying me a bit, being the pedant that I am, this sentence makes no sense:
"you wouldnt be able to play football in those mixsole copas there rugby studs illegal"
Oh, and the "TO" you used, should be spelt with a double o. And its stand

Just had to get that off my chest.

i have mixed sole copas and have never had a problem, they're not nearly as dangerous as some metal blades ( like preds and vapors) which are infact blades..like a knife when they get worn!! these are rounded.
Giordano e lie
Feb 2 2007, 09:59 AM
yes but in my league you wouldnt be able to wear worn down blades does the ref not check footwear before the game?
Nipples
Feb 2 2007, 10:13 AM
Yes, but having studs that are metal makes no difference. Worn down blades should be ok aswell, the thing that causes issues (and injuries) is studs which are cut and have jagged edges and parts sticking out which could cause slashing injuries.

If referees outlawed sharpened blades it would ruin my style of play. I tend to like the Ben Thatcher psycho killer style

1. this is HILARIOUS and u want to know why, all of this is true
2. americans do freak out about anything close to an injury (mostly parents)

No he doesn't. Its not all that relevant though. Fact is, almost all leagues in the UK and around the world (barring USA) don't deem metal studs illegal.
And yeah, the Barricades are pimpin'! Especially the top ones.

I think I can use metal studs NOW as I just started high school this year. But I know last year, I wasn't "allowed" but I did anyway. I'd wear my fg or hg studs in my tunits and waited till the ref checked my studs (which didnt happen often lol) and just switched right after before the game started.

http://www.shopadidas.com/product/index.js...ly&colorId=I was meaning the other "to". The one spelt in capitals which is why I quoted the one in capitals

The one you quoted, without the to in capitals, is used correctly.
As for it just being metal tipped studs that are legal, again thats not correct.
Here's a pair of Uwin
football studs from ACA Sports:
Notice that they are completely metal. And as I said, take a look at Vapor III SG studs. As far as I can tell they are completely metal.

VERY TRUE!!! haha and ive never heard that full metal are illegal. some one said that they are only for rugby but thats wrong...completely. the thing about rugby is no metal tips, i.e. plastic then metal at the end or just plastic your still allowed moldies though.
