Hi I'm just wondering all those in club/school teams what is your training schedule like? are there some people in here that are in quite high up teams that train most days a week? In NZ it is pretty slack most teams train only twice a week but our team trains 4x a week which is quite rare here.
Renee
For university it's 4 times per week + 2 games on the weekend.
For my club team we have 1, sometimes 2 games per weekend and we train 2 times per week (which is shitty) - I usually get out and train with others or on my own another 2 times.
nufcfanatic
oh do u play in a us college team? im looking to do that this year hopefully
S11
well my team usually trains 2/3 times a week and then the weekend game -
kaosp
my team has 8 trainings from monday-friday, every evening and on wednesday-friday also in the morning. we're starting our friendly matches in the end of january, and then we'll have one match each weekend till the season starts (in norway the season starts in the spring and ends in the fall, because it's so bloody cold).

i also train alot by myself. as much as i can really. every weekend, and those days with only one traing i'll do something on my own.

thats quite good indeed, you must be a good player as i feel training is the only way to become one, and if you happen to have the mental side of it aswell then your going places. is that for a youth pro club ? how old are you?
Kink
well my team trains 3 nights a week plus game on the weekend, and when ever else i can get out and train on my own cause ive got other commitments such as work.

Kaosp - Is that 8 sessions on the pitch? or is it broken up into different types of training eg. Monday-fitness tuesday-gym wednesday-pool/beach

i play on the youth team of one of the norwegian premier league clubs (tippeligaen). it's the age group from born in 89 till 87. i'm 16 years old (89).

8 sessions on the pitch would be quite intense, i would of thought there would of been recovery sessions but i guess thats up to your club..

Enjoy it anyway, theres lots of us who would want to be in your shoes playing in a youth setup at a professional club thumbsup.gif

each training ain't always that intense. monday and thuesday is rally hard, but wednesday the intensity level is really low. thursday is hard, but friday is quite normal. mind you this is our pre-season traing. in season we'll have just as many i think, but the intensity level will be much lighter, and games will pop up during the weeks.

Which Tippeliga club do you play in? Just wondering:P
Felipćo
2 x 2 hour sessions per week I try and fit in some training by myself when I can though.
strikerboy
High school is 5 times a week during the season. Club 2 times a week, with 2 games on Saturday.
omnicerna
2 times for college team, 1 time for high school team. I usually have also 2 other training sessions on my own. Hope to get into my country's premier league's youth team by at least the end of this year.
Dandinho
1 time a week for my school and 1 time a week for my club 2 hopurs for both of them and then sometimes wehave an extra training session for the club
Ajacied_Breda1
Usually 3 times a week with 2 matches, sometimes 4 but then we only have one match.
JC-14
Never. I play futsal with friends and our training is just playing on the street.
Bosnian_Magican
1 game 1 training lol

but i practisse by myself everyday
~The_streets~
An hour a week.
milan22
after the school year ended, we only practiced 2 days a week, with morning and evening practices. then we moved to 4 days a week, with morning practices and 2 days with morning and evening. but now were going to 5 days a week with 2 days morning and evening.

it was about 2 hours before, but now its 3 hours every practice.
Romanian Magic
3 practices a week with 2 games in the weekend. I also practice by myself.
Fortezza
Once every two weeks plus we consider the game a practice too, lol. Some people only show for games!
If we get 6 people at a team practice, that is a miracle.

I wind up practices 2-3 times a week for at least an hour ( sometime 2-3 hours, depending on my free time and frustration with my team not wanting to practice ! ). This weekend its been 4 hours a day by myself because I really want to do good on next Sunday's game in the outdoor league team I am a member of. The indoor soccer league team I could care less about, because they are totally unmotivated and indoor soccer isn't realy soccer anyway.

Btw, I am over 30 and playing in 2 leagues. Most of my peers in the indoor league are over 30 and just plain lazy or prioritize other things over the game. My peers in the outdoor league are 22-25 ( except for me ), but so far I haven't seen any desire from them to practice, even when I offered to set it up after our first game last week.

Ah well, I will stick with it and hopefully find a team that loves the game as much as I do!

Word.

the oz
4 times a week with two games on the weekends, or 5 times a week when there is only one game on the weekend.
On the off day I set myself my own practice.
thorpeyy.
Once a week for school.

Twice a week for local club with games every Sunday.

For School it's only an hour as it's pretty dark about 5 now-a-days.

For my team we train from 6:30 til 8 on Wednesdays in Summer and 7 til 8 in Winter. Then train for 2 hours on Saturday mornings all year round.
Blended
For my school team we have practice every other day of the week because we have games every other day, haha.

So monday we have practice, tuesday we have game, wednesday practice, thursday game, Friday practice, Saturday Game.

Starting this week we've also started morning practice so we have 2 practices a day every practice day, if that makes sense, haha.

Both practice sessions are 2hrs long.

We're trying to kickstart a good season. New coach, new team, so we'll see. We're already halfway through the season.
quickfeet
3 practises a week(Monday, Tuesday, Friday), with 1 game on the weekend and another game on Wednesday/Thursday. I hit the gym every second day, of course.
jonteh
had 6 practises before but right now i took a break from football.

SergioRamos04

Zin
I train/play 5 days a week, Sunday through Thursday, and rest Friday and Saturday, usually for about 2 hours. Us people in college have busy lives ya know!

^Wtf. You're TEAM trains monday-thursday?? Wow, that's pretty serious. My college team trains on mondays only, but we have games during the week, for example this week we have one on wednesday. It's obviously not very serious, it's just a second team for a lot of players who have their hometown clubs. Speaking of which, it looks like I'm going to join one of those teams, and in that case, then I'll be training monday, tuesday and thursday, with game on wednesday with the college, and games on the weekend with the club.

Woops. Should have been more specific. I meant train / play as in the combination of the two. We train for 3 days, and play the other two (play Sunday & Tuesday, train Monday, Wed, Thur), but we usually meet up a couple hours before the game and play around for a while and go over last minute things. I'm not on the club team here at school, just a local league like everyone is accustomed to.
jaycoach
The team I am currently an assistant coach too, we train them 4 times a week.

Mondays
Tuesdays
Thursdays
Saturdays

Mondays we do a 2 hour session, but because it is after our game on Sunday, we just take it easy doing the simple drills to improve control and other things.
Tuesdays we do a 2 and half hour session of moderate intensity, a mixture of running, team work drills and SSG's
Thursdays we do a 2 hour session, fully concentrating on fitness. This is our most important day really, as we have destroyed teams in the last 10-15mins!
Saturdays we do a 1 hour session, taking it really easy. Simple drills, light SSG's, and talk about the game the next day.
