Hi! I'm a russain CSKA Moscow fan. Today i read that Vagner from Palmeiras will go to CSKA Moscow for a 9$ million. I've heard about this forward a lot of good things. But i'm not sure, that he can play excellent in Russia, like he play in Brazil.
Daniel Carvalho(miniWorld Champion) also play for us club, but he don't play every time and not so excellent. What do you think? Russia isn't best place for a south-american players?wink.gif)
P.S.
And what do you know about Osmar Ferreira(CSKA Moscow player too)? He was good player in Argentina? Do you know Hector Brakamonte? I like how he play for a FC Moscow, russian call him "Russian Pushkin". Thanx a lot.
And i'm very sorry for my very bad English.wink.gif)
DaBrasuca
no problem. well Vagner is a great forward in Brasil. He is young and up-and-coming, just like Daniel Carvalho.

About Carvalho (I am a big fan of his) has he been doing badly? I heard he was doing very well, but I guess you are in a better position to judge. I haven't seen him play at all in Russia. Well, if he is doing bad, do me a favor and call the president of CSKA and tell him to sell Daniel back to Internacional of Brasil. Please
Slim82
No. He played excellent in Super Cup match and score goal. He didn't play bad and not very good. He play a little time on the field. I think that Jorge(CSKA Head Coach) waiting then he(Carvalho) will fell very good in Russia and then Carvalho will play all time. What do you think about Vagner-Carvalho at same time on the field. Could they create a powerfull danger against opponents? I think it will be great.
DaBrasuca
slim, i think that would be a great combination. Daniel Carvalho is a creative attacker, not just a scorer. Vagner knows how to finish. If the two are together, Daniel would make one perfect pass after another for Vagner to score. It is a great combo. Potentially leathel
D'Angelo
i'm a palmeiras fan.. Vágner Love is now on the brazil team with ronaldinho, roberto carlos, ect.... in a few years he'll become one of the best playerr in brazil. today i went to palmeiras game by the brazilian national first division... vagner socored 3 great goals
StrokingMonkeys
First welcome to SP D'Angelo! biggrin.gif

Always good to have a local to give us an idea of what people there think of a player. biggrin.gif

Which game was that? Palmeiras played Vasco over the weekend and he only scored 1 gol. Nen scored the other.

Game ended 2-2.

I'll doublecheck to make sure I'm wrong or right but I'm pretty sure that is what happened (they showed the game here actually on Fox Sports World Canada at 8PM EST).

Are you talking about another game maybe?
Henrique
Well, here in Internacional team Carvalho war great play. Maybe he not adapt a russian soccer. he is not scored, but attacker, creative, strenght, long shoot, dribling. and vagner is the another great play.
DaBrasuca
do we have another brilliant poster who also is an inter fan? clapping.gif

welcome henrique
AGUIA-SLB
good sign by cska moscow.

I just saw Vagner play and he is pretty good. I believe he has 7 goals this season.
Radon
just scored his first champions league goal
StrokingMonkeys
My main question is, did he play well though?

Scoring is one thing, but scoring "well" is another.

Just wondering how he's adapting up to now over there?
Macca
Anyone able to give me a quick rundown on this guy? I have been told he is the man we need to watch out for in our games against CSKA.
Barrhead_Bhoy
Will Vagner be playing against Rangers?

If so, i think i'll be putting some of my hard-earned on a CSKA win next week.

Tis an excellent question that I was pondering myself when I looked at the matchups. CSKA has bought a lot of players, I mean Abromovich has as I understand it. Love was in Peru for the Copa, but I have no clue about the details of his transfer to CSKA from Palmeiras.

Either way, I think that Rangers got the most difficult draw.
Macca
I am starting to get a very worried now. My first thought was - Great, it's not Benifca or Basel. I was releived. Now, I am worried. They have it all going for them - fit, players know each other. We do't have that. I really do not know how we will play. Could go either way. Looking forward to it nonetheless.

Actually, I forgot about the Benfica - Anderlecht draw. I think that is the toughest. However, I think Rangers - CSKA is right behind that...

Found this report. Love scored in his debut for CSKA in the game they won in order to meet Rangers. So, yes, Love is now there. Good luck to the Gers Macca. FYI, in the roster, Love is listed as: #11 Silva De Souza
DaBrasuca
And how is my Daniel Carvalho?
Radon
he was injured for the last couple of weeks... i think he's been having trouble adapting to the league, due to the field conditions being very poor early in the saeson

now with improved fields and a playing partner that he knows (vagner), hopefully he will open up..
DaBrasuca
i pray everyday that he realizes how stupid it is to go to Russia. Go back home. Come back to Inter, where u are loved.
Radon
he'd be loved on the bench there
DaBrasuca
how so? he was our star player last year.
Radon
i'm sure he will be in other countries as well... hardly any player gets adjusted to a completely different league in a short periopd

GAME IS TODAY!!!

1st leg is playing in Russia at noon ET (around 8PM over there I think)

GO VAGNER LOVE! GO CSKA MOSCOW!

I'd say "Go Carvalho" but he's still injured I believe.

Any netradio stations available covering this game? I'll take any language! biggrin.gif

I think the uefa site will have commentaries? Atleast I hope. Not sure they're covering this round.

Macca must be quaking in fear. wink.gif Yes, will be interesting. Soley for Vagner's sake, I hope CSKA smokes the Rangers (sorry macca).

Carvalho is still injured and will not play at least 5 weeks. He will return (or already returned) to Brazil for that time.

OUCH!! 5 WEEKS?!?! Serious injury! sad.gif

Thanks for the info Senior T.

and WELCOME TO SP! biggrin.gif
DaBrasuca
good that he goes back to brasil. It is hard to believe, but the winter in Porto Alegre is much hotter than Moscow's summer. Finally, Rio Grande do Sul has the highest concentration of models in Brasil. I hope he realizes what he is missing, and leaves Russia to go back home to Inter.
StrokingMonkeys
Just a quick update at halftime.

CSKA Mos 1-1 Rangers

Novo scored for Rangers and...

VAGNER LOVE scored for CSKA!!!

2nd half about to begin!!

COME ON CSKA!!!
GoonerMarc
Vagner Love's goal was a close range header if your intrested, he went through on goal and shot at the keeper from an accute angle, he is causing Rangers all sorts of problems and is certainly CSKAs dangerman. Dont be suprised if he scores at least another, the game is really open
GoonerMarc
Well CSKA just scored 45 seconds into the second half to makeit 2-1, it wasn't Vagner.
StrokingMonkeys
Man, thanks alot for the info! biggrin.gif

I just wish I could watch/listen to this match!

on a side note, I just want CSKA to go as far as possible with Vagner helping them as much as possible, cause then IF they make it to the group stage and/or even the knock-out stage, I'll be able to follow him on TV biggrin.gif (or on the web, depending)

Ditto!
StrokingMonkeys
Game over!

CSKA Moscow 2-1 Rangers

Vagner and Jarosik (sp?) scored for CSKA and Novo scored for Rangers.

Now the big test begins for CSKA! Will they survive the trip to Ranger's house?

Because of this "away gols" rule, all Rangers need is a 1-0 victory and their through!

Can't wait!

yup they lost. BUT, they are still in a good position to go through. Like I said before, all they need is a 1-0 and Rangers are through on away gols rule.

Should be a very interesting 2nd leg!

Yep, macca said that would be a result he could live with, precisely because of the away goal rule I'm sure. Macca should be 'content', not happy, but content. Would be a fun game to watch indeed...the 2nd leg.
DaBrasuca
CSKA better bomb or be a cinderela story
none of this mediocre bullshit.

Daniel Carvalho and Vagner Love deserve better. Back to Brasil or off to Italy/England/Spain/Portugal
StrokingMonkeys
Aaaaaaah, but success in the Champs League will get him to the bigger euro clubs quick fast in a hurry...

hopefully wink.gif

Fact is, the damage is already done, so may as well hope for the best while they're there.
Macca
Love looked very good today. I was releived they took him off. 60 mins in and he went off, strange decision to say the least. Looked a good player, very lively, nice touch, just hope he is kept quiet at Ibrox.

Thank you for welcome.
Daniel had been injured at the end of June. I don't know exactly, is that still the first injury, or he was injured second time when he returned to training after first. I affraid I don't know english name of his injury.
Club said that he was unsatisfied that he could not play and his morale was low, so was decided that Daniel could go to Brazil to family for the time he can not training.

It was 70' minute, wasn't it?
Our coach is in the opinion that Vagner had only one week trainings with team and is not ready to play full time. Also, near that time Rangers began to play very rough, even dirty, maybe he was affraid that Vagner could be injured by them. And player who came for Vagner have been kicked in head by Alex Roe about 5 minutes later.

Vagner have good opportunities to score more goals, but at first one he have not managed to put ball over the keeper after Rangers' defense fault, and in second half he struck just wide of right post (if he scored that one it would be clone of his goal in match with Neftchi).
StrokingMonkeys
Well look at that!

Vagner nails 2 gols in a 3-0 victory for CSKA over Rotor Volgograd.

Don't know how good or bad Rotor Volgograd is though. As long as Vagner keeps scoring, I'm a happy man.

Maybe Brasil will use him for WC2010 wink.gif
Galahad524
I wonder how long it will take for him to end up at Chelsea.
StrokingMonkeys
That would be AWESOME!

But, like the Selecao, he has tons of guys in front of him sad.gif

If CSKA can make it to the group stage of the Champs League and he scores gols against the big Euro clubs, maybe Maurinho (Portuguese speaking, hint hint) might push the powers that be at Chelsea to move Vagner to Chelsea next season.

Then again, I read somewhere that Olic (who also scored today) is supposedly ahead of him too from within the CSKA ranks.

What a mountain to climb!
Galahad524
I've also heard CSKA wants to get Luis Fabiano. He (Vagner) will end up at Chelsea I think. CSKA is a feeder for Chelsea. Abramovich's oil company is their sponsor. All roads lead to Roman.
Radon
rotor is in last place in the league... but 2 goals are still nice biggrin.gif
StrokingMonkeys
I had a feeling that team sucked. I've honestly never heard of them.

Then again, I probably never heard of half the teams in the Russian league sad.gif

Looks like I'll be paying more attention to the whole gang now.
