Beauty and Leafs fan are antonyms. You lot live in perpetual darkness.
Myself, I am a hardcore born and bred Sens fan (well ever since '92 lol) and I'm pumped for our cup win this summer. Good luck making the playoffs, Maple Laughs. You lot are a joke.

Snoop, once the Leafs get Lindros, Tucker and McCabe back. Were gonna end up facing the Sens in the playoffs again and knock them off like every year, no matter how bad our form is.

As much as I'd love for you guys not to make the playoffs, I think the only way to shut your mouths is to destroy you (kind of like the 3 games where we outscore you 23-2) in the first round and then topping it off by winning our cup. BRING IT ON BABY

Yeah, your glory days are over Im afraid. Back about 5 years ago or so you guys had an awesome team with Hull, modano, nieuwendyk, zubov, etc, guerin near the end. Now you've got guerin and modano playing like ass and thats about it (im not even sure if guerin still plays for you anymore, isn't he with boston now?).

Here's a question. Will it still be Leafs 24/7 on the radio during the playoffs? Unfortunately, it probably will. Although thankfully CBC won't have an excuse to basically just be LeafsTV2 anymore. Bastards.

Knowing CBC they will show re-runs of old leafs games so that people can still live in the dream of them winning Lord Stanleys Cup, but ppl will on the radio and on tv will still go on about on how they should be there.

Yeah, i'm still smug. Think i didn't see this coming? After that abortion of a midseason run and particularly the 2 games against Montreal, it was pretty clear that they'd need to be faster then God's Chariot as well as have some huge luck to get in. I'm just happy the team didn't pack it up.

yeah teh nucks blew it in the long run. Plain and simple didnt give it a consistant effort. missing 3 key defence didnt help but good teams play through that, and the canucks didnt.

I'm late to this thread, but it's pretty clear that I love my Flames

Through their 7 year play-of drought, I've been hanging and sinking with my team. We don't score as many goals as the other play-off teams, but we have one of the best goalies in Kipper and our defensive depth will come in handy...
I was happy to see the Canucks out of the play-offs. To be honest, I thought they were a tad overrated with their team as I've never been a fan of either Auld or Cloutier. They always seem to choke at the worst times and it finally caught up to them this season.
As for the Leafs, I don't think anyone's surprised that they didn't make the play-offs with that team. Getting rid of Quinn was good for them in the long run.
But I do have tickets for tomorrow night's game

It should be awesome! GO FLAMES GO!!

I agree there - without Kipper, we're not in the play-offs - 'nuff said there.
Jarome needs to step it up though. He had an OK season, but he needs to be the dominant force he was in 2004. I've seen flashes, but he has been just average. Phaneuf is my favorite Flame - he's awesome and if Ovechkin and Crosby weren't around, he'd hands down be the rookie of the year

The Flames are all about their crafty veterans Amonte, McCarty, Hamrlik now. Huselias is another guy I can see stepping up and having a decent post season. I think their going to have a real hard time getting passed the 2nd round though.

I am really surprised by the Habs, they really showed they can compete with the best of them after hammering Carolina. Lets see a similar one tonight and lets hope Cheechoo and Thornton have a good game to tie their series.

Redden was a pretty big absentee that game, all the best to him and his family though. But Ottawa will bounce back, I think thats the only game the Lightning will win...
Those terrible giveaways aside, how fucking sweet were those goals from St. Louis and Richards? Those guys are unreal, too bad they play for Tampa.

That first goal from St Louis was unstoppable. His 2nd was due to poor coverage by Volchenkov, though, he did do well to get into position. Now that I've watched some highlights, 3 of their goals were from fuck-ups, as Chara fell giving Richards all the time in the world, but itwas still a nice move. As long as the Sens can keep up the same pace we started with in the first half or so of the first period for a good 2 periods per game, we should have no problem winning the reminaning games.

So whats everyone's take on the end of the first and start of the second rounds?
The east went as it probably should've. and the west was backwards.
I cant believe Edmonton won, I was choked. I fucking hate Alice Hemsky and his shitty little tanned visor. He kicked that puck in, bastard. I hope that the Sharks sweep them. I would expect them too, but then again I would expect Detroit to do so as well. The Ducks were a bit of a surprise, I didnt think that they could compete physically with the flames but proved me wrong too. I bet Keith Carney is pretty happy right now. I think that they could easily make the Cup again with another amazing out of the blue Goalie in Bryzgalov or however you spell it.
My Canadian team hopes now rest on Ottawa, too bad they choked soooooo hard last night. I almost cried watching the end of that game. Carolina- NJ should be a good series too. Brodeur finally got stuffed tonight, although didnt have much help in front of him, 5 PP goals, brutal.
I think from here to the Cup that all of the series' will go to at least 6 games, im looking forward to it.
