I don't know if it would be a great idea - not something I'd want to experiment with, could be a big (and quick) waste of $100 + whatever it costs to get the strap(-)on. Does the tongue not stay down naturally anyway? It looks like it should and Copas are normally OK for that aswell.

They have velcro on the tounge like the Legends.

Then surely elastic wouldn't be needed?

I might be wrong here, they're not out over here yet, so I can't say if they do stay down OK. As long as you keep the velcro reasonably clean etc, you should be OK.

Strap-ons and fetishes? All within 5 posts! I though this was the boot room...
Do you think theres any way you could get the guy just to "tack" the elastic on just so you could see what it would be like? Then you can take it off it you don't like it or gte him to stitch it properly if you do? Don't think you want ot rush into anything like this.

Maybe put another velcro strap down further on the laces and just pull the tounge down and see if it grips onto that. It think it would look great with elastic but try the velcro first...may save you some cash.

I personally think that getting a cobbler to put an elastic strap might be fiddlely but it certainly could be done. I don't see any reason as to why not if they don't stay down properly with the velcro

What I do with my Aveiro's which is the same kinda deal with the elastic strap is tie my laces over the tongue. You might not like the idea but it still creates a sweet spot and keeps the tongue down good.
Personally, like Scousy has said it would be fiddly to go down to the cobblers to get an elastic strap on your boots, and besides you don't want to spoil some decent boots with an un-original strap...
