I beleive its a loan with an option of buy. This is a good move for them imo.
figo
oh shit, u have me crappin my pants there for a second, i thought this was about the Adriano of Inter
mEGa
Does someone want to bet that he'll be a flop like Silva?

He is not good for a team like Sporting.

Heres the story in English
http://www.pfutebol.com/news/January%20200...r%20Adriano.htm

Hes a pretty goood player IMO,

From 2002 to 2005 he got 43 goals in 89 matches. This is a good pickup for SPortings offence
Luisao
Wow, it looks like Adriano will actually go to Porto now.

http://www.ojogo.pt/21-326/Artigo524071.htm

That's odd, I would think Porto would go after a striker who's a little bit better.
SCPleao
I personaly think this guy stinks and had a bit of luck as a Nacional player and thats it. Congrats to Porto for grabbing him.
Portista
That came out of no where. I remember Porto were interested in him when Derlei was injured for the rest of the season ( got Maciel instead, bad move ) But I'm not sure about this. This could be a good move, he is certainly more proven than Marcel.
mEGa
Damn.. I really hope he doesnt come... I can only wish that if he does come he'll prove me wrong..

This news is from yesterday, but something Nacional's President is truly hilarious.

Adriano a caminho do FC Porto
O avançado brasileiro Adriano, do Cruzeiro, deverá reforçar o ataque do FC Porto, segundo confirmou hoje o empresário do jogador, Essau Elias.

He's basically saying he rather having Adriano going to Porto instead of Sporting because if he went to Sporting Nacional would he strenghtning a direct opponent. The idea: Sporting is as big as Nacional. Really BIG. laugh.gif
mEGa
He's right though. They are fighting for the same objective. They oficially want to go to the Champions League eh..
liedson1
So is he on porto or No ?
ricci
apparently he is. on a loan from cruzeiro for 200'000.

but cruzeiro still owes porto money for leandro so its like 0-cost for us
Portista
I beleive he will be presented tomorrow. After a game like today, I hope he's the answer.

in case some of u forgot what he can do here are his goals from 2002/2005

Adriano Goals

2003/2004's

2004/2005's
http://www9.rapidupload.com/d.php?file=dl&filepath=14267

with Quaresma feeding him he will be in the scoring race in no time
ricci
some nice goals, lots of headers, reminds me of jardel biggrin.gif

mhm I think he'll be a good adding for the team.
SCPleao
Nice headers that remind you of Jardel? mUst be a differnt Jardel because this guy has nothing on him.
He'll be in the scoring race in no time? Be honest to yourself please.
ricci
hey 40 goals in 80 games, no topscorer?
Portista
He's no Jardel. But his comment "He'll be in the scoring race in no time?" I see why not. This guy scored over 20 goals a season, now with better support around him, I won't be surprised if he becomes a regular scorer.
SCPleao
Silva got 16 goals for Braga, Miklos Feher got 16 goals as well. what happened to these guys when they went to bigger clubs? All the Portistas are smoking to much trying to make this guy out to be something hes not. Cruzeiro is a big club with better players than Nacional, why dont thye want him again? Wake up.
mEGa
Not really, I don't have high expectations for him, actually I don't have any. I'm just happy he came on loan for the exact same reasons you mentioned, if he's good he'll stay otherwise he's out.
Von Dragon
dont be mad that we took him from right under ur nose
SCPleao

your joking right? if anything i would thank Pinta Costa for doing so. If anyone should be bitter its Porto fans who got Morreto taken from under there nose rofl.gif
Von Dragon
Morretto was never going to come to Porto

we where only trying to get him to help out setubal cuz we would have loaned him to setubal for this season and maybe next season
SCPleao
When does Porto ever help anyone rofl.gif you have to be fucken kidding me. They wer eplanning on getting rid of Helton because there were some teams after him and obviously they have to prepare for Baias ritirement which is almost over due.
