Ok, as most of you will be aware, there quite a few new Adidas boots coming out in the near future.
Adidas contacted site admin a while back and basically told them that if pictures of unreleased Adidas boots were transferred through Soccerpulse, it may be shut down. And not just the Boot Room.
In the last few days there have been quite a few incidents of people posting pictures of Tunits and new Predator colours and also saying that they could PM them to people. Some members have also been asking people to PM them. None of these things are allowed. Any transfer of pictures of unreleased boots through Soccerpulse is not allowed (this includes link to pictures)
For those who post pictures of said boots, you will be given a warning. If you post them again, further action will be taken. For those who offer to PM them to people, the same rules apply. Asking for people to PM them to you will get you a verbal warning.
Sorry it had to come to this, but so many people are doing the above and its too much of a risk.

I doubt Adidas can do anything about emails containing pictures though...

Yes, this is very important, none of us want SP to be closed down because of a few little pics of boots that will come out soon.

I'm sure the people that did wrongfully post pictures, didn't do it knowing that they did something wrong...I hope, lol.

Did Adidas say why they don't want pics released? All it can do is generate more interest. It's not like Nike could copy them, (as IF).

I've just joined soccerpulse but even I knew that you aren't aloud to post
pictures of not released adidas boots.
(therefore the last ADIDAS topis was closed some while ago)

but what I don't understand is why other sites don't get adidas on their backs when their members are posting evey catalog thet they can find with unreleased boots

TBH, as long as they don't sell them over Soccerpulse, I coudn't care less. I guess if there's anything Adidas can do about it, they will.

Its not like Adidas are`nt featuring their new boots on the field anyway, Getty images has been photographing players with Predators and Tunits, is Adidas going to shut them down???...

Also do you guys think that the photos that you are sent are spy shots taken in some top secret adidas basement? Most of them are from e-bay...I wonder if Adidas is going to shut down ebay????? Somehow I don`t think so.....

If the shoes are unreleased and on e-bay it generally means that they are sales samples...which means that they have already been fit tested (worn) in public places extensively...you guys are`nt the first people from the general public to have seen them....Go to Munich and check out all the unreleased BMW models driving about the city....Actually go to Beaverton thriftstores(charity shops) and see how may unreleased NIKE shoes are being sold, maybe Nike should shut them down....

And anyway besides all that how much exposure is SP going to give the Adidas boots on a global scale anyway? Not as much as we think...ask 95% of soccer players if they know soccerpulse, I doubt that they will know what it is...

Adidas should be grateful that we are telling them what we like and don`t like so they can continue to improve their designs...if you can`t stand the heat get out of the kitchen...its a tough world out there I knowe, but don`t hate the player, hate the game...

And lastly Adidas should be happy that we are advertising their product for free! Don`t they know that thats what Nike does on Niketalk.com.....

I agree completely. I don't understand why Adidas get their knickers in a twist over it. Posting pictures increases interest and anticipation. It is likely to do more good than harm.

Feel free to correct me nipper, but as long as the photos of Adidas shoes are`nt copyrighted by Adidas...then they don`t own them...So surely any photos of Adidas shoes taken by unknown persons such as photos from ebay can`t be claimed by Adidas...Its like the spyshots of cars published in car magazines...

Its not, because adidas owns the product and if they dont wish to expose the pictures untill release in fear of other companies releasing a similar pruduct they have full authority to stop any pictures from being shown to the public!

Oh well, they are only hurting themselves imo........... its not like Nike will put some power pulse in their AZT, or make a set of Vapor color covers

mmmmmmmm well i'm pretty sure that in Juve's case he was advertising BS so that footy boot fans could check out the new adidas boots, not because its his site and he wants more users, or that he is spam advertising.
BS>SP, they don't need more users, he's just doing it so that other people from this forum can see the new boots on BS, as they are allowed to show the new pictures.
But if i'm being really honest, i'd rather not have all the kids in here coming over to BS, it's already started to happen and there have been ridiculous threads, so by all means stop the advertising and keep this day-care forum running.

It's exacly like benvolio said, BS is NOT my site and i couldnt care less if they gain members from my post, i have over 400 posts which of about 2 including that one reffered to BS! i come to these sites to talk about soccer equipment and to get the latest news not to badmouth one website and help the other grow, SP and BS are both equall to me but when it comes to freedom of speach BS is a sure winner, every time i had linked SP over there no one complained no one questioned why i tried to get the latest news across and the mods didnt even care because you gain members by giving them what they want not by resticting them to use only your website or get warnings!

So take it up with the admins. Its not my fucking probelm. My job is to follow the rules and ensure that the rules are followed by others, which, in this case, isnt happening. So drop it now or there will be warnings all round.
