Full Version: Sp Now Has Rss Feeds!
SoccerPulse Community > Welcome To Soccerpulse.com > Announcements

Christoval
Soccerpulse now outputs its data to rss feeds.

for IE; Get firefox tongue.gif

If you use firefox, do this:

see in the address bar, there is a little satelite? click it and choose one of our two feeds; soccerpulse or soccerpulse videos.

this item will be added to your bookmarks, and dynamically updated with the latest posts from that feed. Soccerpulse gives you posts from all forums, where videos gives you just the video posts. So when you login to see the goals right after the game, it can provide you with the direct link right to it! Its updated every fifteen minutes, but may be increased if more people use it, so its more frequent.

its even more useful if you use the "bookmarks toolbar" because it will be right there, above your tabs.

if there are rquests for other RSS feeds (can be any combo of forums) please suggest them, and we will try to accomodate everyone.

Try it out!

Note: the raw data for teh RSS feeds can be obtained from the RSS logo at the bottom left of the forum. This may be usefull for webmasters familar with RSS who want to try linking to teh feed.

FoxyTunes is a great one, in built media player. So you don't have to keep switching, its compatible with most media players.

use opera then it has even more control over the tabs

opera doesnt read page code follwoing teh DOM and w#c Standards. what that means for normal people is that the pages might not show up as they have been coded. IE does teh same Firefox was built to use w3c standards, and the DOM model for javascript, therefore it reads code as it should, and forces teh developer to write correct code.

anyway do you believe that firefox will one day be outright superior to the other two browsers considering they're open source, or is open source not good enough to ocompete with companies?

open source is so much better then company related software, that companies are using open source them selves now.

Microsoft is..

some of the larger software titles do now.

mysql/php (what this site and millions of others) is built on is all open source. it allows for updates to happen as needed/thought of, that alone makes it an instant winner.

Firefox right now is teh faster growing browser on teh market. dont except to see tht atop for a while. the only thing holding IE in is that its packaged with the worlds worst OS, Windows
