that's great and all but how cup egypt failed to qualify for the biggest tourney of them all, world cup?

Egypt didnt qualify you idiot coz we played in the most deadly world cup qualifying groups there is!! for this years world cup in Germany and even for the one before ..sometimes i think its staged to get Egypt out of the world cup as egypt is destained to remain some how in the shadows but those who know us well know how unique and stylish egyptian football is and has always been as we are not the Kings of Africa for nothing!! ..its coz ur so damn ignorant and living in your little Nigerian dreams u have and had no clue of the Egyptian power in football ..cocoon is the word ..anyways my dear friend Egypt played in the same group as ivory coast and Cameroon and i believe we were 2nd top to the group til the the last stages when Cameroon turned it around and beat ivory coast at home ..but i also remember Egypt beating Cameroon at home 4-2 and it was 4-0 till the last 2min and also illuminating Cameroon from the world cup finals by holding them to a 1-1 draw in Yaoundé!

i also believe we won the African cup of nations just two months after with the same team and with our best player not even playing for the national team and his name is Mohamed zidan who plays for verder Bremen in Germany ..thats the new African risen super star my Nigerian friend!!

in the last world cup we draw against Senegal Morocco in one group and we were again 2nd to Senegal whom we beat at home and drew away to ..we had a chance of reaching the Korea Japan till the last match where we needed to score more goals to qualify ..but so what, Senegal showed what they're worth and kicked ass till the end so im not a bit ashamed that last time we lost to Senegal our place and this year we lost our place to the best African team there is representing africa in this year's tournament in Germany ..so go ahead ivory coast and Drogba and show your worth it and im sure they will stun everyone ..yet they couldn't stun egypt in the 2006 ACN as we beat them twice ands cruised to win the cup in spectacular fashion!

he's a good player and i agree he should be part of the national team, but he is NOT the best egyptian player.......
the best Egyptian player by far is Mohamed Abo Treka, the ronaldinho of Egypt..
if this guy gets the chance to play in a big European club then he'll be the best in Africa's history and could be one of the best in the world, why not...
he played in the match between Ronaldo's friends and Zidane friends and played quite good...

Egypt football has achieved much, Zamalek were dominant back then with outstanding players, Al Alhly took over last season and were entertaining to watch in the CAF Champions League. congrats to Egypt and egyptian clubs in paticular

I forgot to say that El Ahly was named the african Club of the Century ahead of Zamalek, who is in 2nd place...
directly after that there was a match between El Ahly, African Cub of th Century,and Real Madrid, European Club of the Century...
it was in Egypt, in Cairo Int'l stadium particularly, so that tells you who won

In my opinion the best African side at the moment is the one who played their hearts out against Argentina last night, Egypt may have beaten them in the final of the ACN but then again they lost to them when it really mattered, trying to qualify for the big one.

Triumphs on home soil have to be counted for less.....judging from South Korea in 2002, Portugal in 2004, and Tunisia in the same year....poor teams do well at home.....Egypt are not poor at all.....but they are not the best

But if your so great, qualifing for the world Cup would be a breeze, doesn't matter who's in it.

if the World Cup is in Egypt we'd win it
away....without our fans....maybe Ivory Coast or Cameroon have better players,,, but we're not weak against them...remember Egypt vs. Cameroon last match in the qualifications when we knocked them out of the World Cup in Yaonde......
but I have to say that Egypt's player's have the best football spirit between all African countries..........


nothing is easy in football mate especially with that that terrible luck wehave in world cup qualifications.....
we had Ivory Coast and Cameroon in our group, probably the two teams with the best African players now....
the one before we had Morocco and Senegal, who were the best African nation at that time.......
I'm not making excuses, but don't think that I mean we're very superior over the other African teams, the levels are very close to each other, but for us the fans make the difference

In my opinion...Egypt are in the top five of Africa....Nigeria, Tunisia, Cameroon, and Ivory Coast may be better....but honestly....it is good for Africa to have five teams who can honestly claim this title...Lets just hope that these five teams qualify for South Africa.......and every side is much harder to beat at home....no one wants Egypt in Cairo, Tunisia in Tunis, or Nigeria in Lagos, even Ecuador in Quito

let's just hope that these five teams are in 5 different groups!!
o and btw...so in 2010 there will be 6 African teams in the World Cup ?
